You ever read the Bible? That thing's crazy. They're always talking about big gleaming clouds abducting people, and miraculous cures that are far too advanced for the time, and other futuristic things like extra fish. So it's not a huge leap of logic to start thinking about Jesus might have been a dang alien. Our guest this week is musician/composer/sound guy/dear friend of the family Grant Martz, and he's pretty dang passionate about the possibility that rather than being some omnipotent Sky Daddy, God is actually a collection of aliens who are doing a kind of bad job trying to save the human race. On this ep Alexis, Katelyn, and Grant get real real about religion, bigotry, jet skis, the nature of time, rocks, and how cool Jesus was.

Alexis is out of town and we're going wild with a non-family-friendly episode! That's right, we're swearing up a storm in this one. We welcome Nick Wiger and Mike Mitchell, hosts of Doughboys, the podcast about chain restaurants. They argue about whether dogs or cats are better, and we take advantage of their taste-testing skills to determine the best dog-themed booze. Plus, Renee is running from the law, and Allegra gets duped on her Mutt Minute. Grab the least disgusting dog-themed booze you can find and tune in! Thanks to Grant Martz for guest producing this episode!
Wowie zowie, it's our 50th episode! It's been a blast to take this journey with all of you, and we think it was a blast to record this ep but somehow nobody really remembers doing it? It's weird, we all just sort of have a blank 48 hours in our memories. But it seems like that was when we were recording and editing this? Guess this is what happens when you set out to do a 9/11 episode. Anyway, huge thanks to all the people who apparently lent their talents to this, including: Matt Walsh, Sarah Claspell, Jon Mackey, Ele Woods, Ben Dietzel, Ryan Middledorf, Grant Martz, Sarah De La Isla, Cooper James, Clem, Maude, Michael Dean, and Alexis Preston. They were probably an absolute pleasure to have in the Lizard's Lair. Hope you like it! And... stay safe out there.
