This week on Beauty is a Bitch, I'm joined by renowned cosmetic dentist and oral health expert Dr. Jon Marashi to dive into a topic many women in midlife don't think enough about: how poor oral health can silently fuel chronic disease. Dr. Marashi—whose celebrity clientele includes A-listers and top athletes—shares why what's happening in your mouth can affect the rest of your body. From heart disease to bone loss to cognitive decline, research now shows that gum disease and poor oral hygiene can set off an inflammatory cascade with serious health consequences, especially as we age. In this episode, Dr. Marashi breaks down what midlife women need to know about oral care during perimenopause and menopause, why gum recession and sensitivity often show up in our 40s and 50s, and how daily habits (and the right dental visits) can make a major difference. We also discuss cosmetic dental treatments that can help you feel more confident in your smile, common myths about oral health and aging, and why paying attention to your mouth may be one of the best things you can do for your entire body. Trust me—you'll look at your toothbrush a little differently after this one. Show Notes: Website: https://www.drmarashi.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/drjonmarashi
“Diddy, they're laughing at you! This is not a game!” The lady is screaming in the back of the courtroom. Everyone whips their heads around to stare - and there she is. Staring off 3 court officers and threatening them to take out their gun. “Diddy is walking perfection. Take out your guns!” The woman has been banned from the courthouse, wore a scarf around her head (not for religious reasons), and snuck into the very courtroom where Diddy is now staring straight at her. Mouth agape. This was the very important message that she had to deliver - “They're laughing at you.” She is dragged out of the courtroom but that is not the last we will hear from her. She has been there almost every single day during the USA v. Sean Combs case and there have been rumors circulating that she is a paid actor. But why? Full show notes at rottenmangopodcast.com

John Maytham speak to Wandile Sihlobo, agricultural economist, analyst, and author, about the wider implications of a potential foot and mouth outbreak — not just for trade, but for farmers, retailers, and everyday consumers. His show serves a round-up of local and international news coupled with the latest in business, sport, traffic and weather. The host’s eclectic interests mean the program often surprises the audience with intriguing book reviews and inspiring interviews profiling artists. The government is unlikely to be able to cope with a severe outbreak of animal disease like Foot and Mouth, according to the National Audit Office. In this engaging conversation, Tommy V and Mikey chat with Daniel Palmentera about his music journey, upcoming gigs, and the evolving landscape of the music industry. They discuss the importance of social media, particularly TikTok, in promoting music, the challenges of balancing quality music with online presence, and the transition from solo projects to full band dynamics. Daniel shares insights into his songwriting process, the influence of local bands, and the nostalgia of past shows, while also highlighting contemporary bands making waves in the music scene.Power chords and crashing boards. Mikey, Tom, and Justin talk music, hockey, and anything else that gets in their way. Tom and Mikey are lifelong friends that grew up on Long Island during the glory days of alternative music where our local bands were As Tall As Lions, Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, Bayside, The Sleeping, Envy on the Coast, you get the point. We spent many nights together at The Downtown, catching any pop-punk, indie, hardcore, or emo band that came through. This was not a phase, Mom! Fast forward 20 years and we are still just as passionate about the scene as we were during our girl jeans and youth XL band tees days. Tom and Mikey are diehard New York Islanders fans, but Justin (Bolts fan) likes to remind us that we are #notanislespodcast. As we got older we realized we can like more than one thing and running beside our love for music has always been our love for hockey. Daily Boost Podcast Show Notes Stop Putting Your Foot in Your Mouth With This Simple Trick June 2, 2025 | Episode - 5106 Host: Scott Smith Episode Description Communication can make or break your relationships, career, and daily interactions. In this episode, I share the powerful THINK acronym that has been helping people communicate more effectively since 1914. This simple five-letter framework will transform how you approach every conversation. Whether you're dealing with difficult colleagues, navigating family dynamics, or just trying to be a better communicator, this timeless tool will help you pause before you speak and choose your words more wisely. Featured Story The THINK acronym originated with Thomas J. Watson Sr. of IBM, who used it to guide his sales representatives. Created around 1914 and popularized by 1939, this communication framework has stood the test of time because it works. Watson understood that better communication leads to better results, and this simple acronym became a core principle that helped build one of the world's most successful companies. Important Points The THINK acronym helps you filter your thoughts before speaking, preventing you from saying something you'll regret and improving all your relationships. Most thoughts that pop into your head are negative and don't need to be shared—about 90% of what you think you need to say isn't necessary. Sometimes the kindest thing to do is “go dark” and say nothing at all, which differs from ghosting because it's intentional and temporary. Memorable Quotes “About 90% of what you think you need to say is unnecessary. Why say it?” “My number one rule in life is to be cool and be nice. If you're not cool and nice to me, I'm still going to be that way to you.” “Sometimes the best motivation you can get is a good kick in the ass—a good come to Jesus conversation.” Scott's Three-Step Approach Write down the THINK acronym and keep it visible as a daily reminder to filter your communications. Practice going through each letter before speaking in challenging situations: True, Helpful, Inspiring, Necessary, Kind. Make being kind your number one goal in all interactions, even when others aren't extending the same courtesy to you. Connect With Me Search for The Daily Boost on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Holden talks us through that once beloved tradition that was born of both cinema and corporate synergy: The summer movie song. Whether it was Seal grinding on a Bat Signal, Kenny Loggins singing about jet planes, or a montage of Mr. T set to a pulse pounding track about tiger eyes, the summer movie song was everywhere...until it just wasn't anymore. What exactly happened and more importantly what are our cohosts going to pick as their three favorite summer movie songs of all time (from the early 80s to the early 2000s honestly). And please let us know your favorite because unlike Aerosmith, we probably did miss a thing.Want even more Nerd of Mouth? Your words reveal the true condition of your heart and cannot be separated from your inner character. They carry immense power to either build or destroy, guiding the direction of your life and reflecting your level of faith. When aligned with God's Word, your mouth becomes a tool to activate His nature in you and live out your new identity in Christ.
On this episode of Vitality Radio, Jared sits down with Dr. Michelle Jorgensen, a former traditional dentist who became a pioneer in health-based dentistry after mercury exposure nearly ended her career. They explore how dental issues like root canals, mercury fillings, and fluoride treatments may contribute to chronic illness—even decades later. Dr. Jorgensen explains the role of the oral microbiome, how hidden infections can trigger immune dysfunction, and why dental health impacts everything from hormones to cardiovascular risk. You'll learn how to identify hidden threats in your mouth using cone beam CT scans, how to avoid unnecessary root canals, and why hydroxyapatite is a smart alternative to fluoride.Products:Just Ingredients Tooth PowderJust Ingredients Mouth WashJust Ingredients Breath SprayAdditional Information:Living Well with Dr. Michelle - bookSeasons/Symptoms AssessmentFind Dr. Michelle @livingwellwithdrmichelle on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and FacebookVisit the podcast website here: VitalityRadio.comYou can follow @vitalitynutritionbountiful and @vitalityradio on Instagram, or Vitality Radio and Vitality Nutrition on Facebook. For salespeople, activating and amplifying word-of-mouth can shorten your sales cycles and build trust faster than any website or email.
