Caroline is an award winning felter and fibre artist living here in New Zealand. We met by chance only to discover that she had made the most gorgeous garments in the Creative Fibre Fashion show that I was helping with backstage. When Caroline then won the show with her elegant "Salvation" red merino and silk felted evening dress I knew I had to make sure she chatted to us on the podcast! Caroline had a background in sewing but these were her first felted garments. I was so impressed! What a brave move to try something new and then put it to a vote!Caroline has been felting for about ten years, slowly learning her craft while she raised her young children. More recently she's embraced the title of "artist" and is enjoying the journey that her new role is taking her. You can find Caroline:On her website - www.burtonz.co.nzHer Etsy Shop - burtonzfibreartInstagram - caroline.burton.fibre.artistFacebook - Caroline Burton Fibre Artist We also chatted about:Creative FibreKate Mahoney from Heavenly Wools

The thread will be locked when I get up and get online on 1st March. The CAL is for anything new and exciting that makes your heart sing after all the responsibilities and hard work of the run up to the end of the year, so it shouldn't be a WIP.Prizes were all kindly donated and are:A project bag from Knit and Stitch Bits..The Wool Barn Alpaca Sock (grey) in the Denim colourway.
