In today's episode we are discussing Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer. We ramble about iconic DCOMs and our bookstore business dreams. Then, we get into the nitty-gritting. Bella has zero self-awareness (shocker); Charlie is obviously team Jacob; Edward continues to be insufferable; and we unfortunately learn about imprinting. Oh, and remember, it's not science...it's Sandra Bullock. Next week, we will continue our discussion of Eclipse!
Dylan, Alex, and Cone link up to discuss the following: Complete domination from the Thunder SGA should be the unanimous MVP Chet putting together a complete season Dub filling in the gaps Are we looking at the best team in NBA history? The Darwin-Wallace framework stands tall, but there are places where the seams show, where life presses back with its own kind of intention. Scott Turner guides us through those overlooked corners, tracing the ideas that slipped between theory and experience. We find organisms not as passive machines, but as players in a deeper, older rhythm. And in that recognition, the story of evolution widens into something more awake, more alive.PATREON https://www.patreon.com/c/demystifysciPARADIGM DRIFThttps://demystifysci.com/paradigm-drift-showHOMEBREW MUSIC - Check out our new album!Hard Copies (Vinyl): FREE SHIPPING https://demystifysci-shop.fourthwall.com/products/vinyl-lp-secretary-of-nature-everything-is-so-good-hereStreaming:https://secretaryofnature.bandcamp.com/album/everything-is-so-good-here00:00 Go! 00:09:00 Evolution's Philosophical Foundations 00:12:00 Linnaeus and Early Taxonomy 00:18:00 Idealism vs. Darwinian Thought 00:23:27 Ideological Divide in Evolutionary Theory 00:25:03 Early Evolutionary Inquiry and Natural Theology 00:29:00 Darwin's Voyage and Observations 00:33:57 Intelligence, Purpose, and Evolution 00:37:30 Geological and Evolutionary Gradualism vs. Catastrophism 00:41:40 Darwin & Wallace: Collaboration and Legacy 00:46:34 Mutationism vs. Natural Selection 00:49:44 Reconciling Mutationism and Darwinism 00:53:00 The Eclipse of Darwinism and Rediscovery of Mendel 00:56:14 Evolution, Loss of Purpose and Agency 01:00:30 Darwin's Pangenesis Theory 01:09:06 Biology, Culture, and Evolution 01:11:07 Evolutionary Theories and Future Directions #history, #consciousness, #evolution, #criticalthinking,#physicspodcast, #philosophypodcast MERCH: Rock some DemystifySci gear : https://demystifysci-shop.fourthwall.com/AMAZON: Do your shopping through this link: https://amzn.to/3YyoT98DONATE: https://bit.ly/3wkPqaDSUBSTACK: https://substack.com/@UCqV4_7i9h1_V7hY48eZZSLw@demystifysci RSS: https://anchor.fm/s/2be66934/podcast/rssMAILING LIST: https://bit.ly/3v3kz2S SOCIAL: - Discord: https://discord.gg/MJzKT8CQub- Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/DemystifySci- Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/DemystifySci/- Twitter: https://twitter.com/DemystifySciMUSIC: -Shilo Delay: https://g.co/kgs/oty671

Time for a pre-holiday on-time episode, where we talked about Eclipse Breaker with writer and returning guest friend Mike Sennott!
We're a few days late, but if it means anything to you, dear listener, it made me haul a lot of my music equipment up to my office and I am definitely going to try and do more original music for my episodes now! Welcome to another one-player one-shot where I play games I have been dying to get to the table all by myself. This time it's another by one of my favorite designers in the TTRPG community, Midnight Melodies by Cezar Capacle. In Midnight Melodies, you play as a jazz pianist confronted by the Grim Reaper themself after a night out playing, but there's a catch - you're immune to their touch. Instead, they recruit you for the Department of Unauthorized Deaths to investigate strange, unsanctioned deaths while the big Death works out what to do with you. Now, every now and again, a name will appear in the tip jar at the end of the night, and you must get to the bottom of the unnatural death. In this episode I play Riley Hawkins, member of the big jazz band The Eclipse, as he goes unauthorized death detective on the case of an academic counselor, Bradley Keats. It gets wild. Go get Cezar's games, they're all bangers, you can't go wrong! ----more---- Join the DMs After Dark Discord channel! With long queues, inconsistent timelines, and a system designed for a different era, developers are struggling to connect the very projects needed to decarbonise the grid. As demand for renewables, storage, and electrification accelerates, the question is no longer whether the system needs reform, but how quickly it can be delivered. In this episode of Transmission, Charles Deacon, Managing Director at Eclipse Power Solutions, joins Ed to break down the root causes of the UK's connection backlog and what needs to change to fix it. Over the conversation, Charles explores how developers are navigating today's connection challenges, what the recent reforms really mean in practice, and how networks, policymakers, and industry can work together to speed up delivery. He also shares lessons from real projects: what works, what doesn't, and the operational realities behind getting assets connected in a congested system.Key points covered:• Why grid connection delays have become a major blocker for renewables and storage projects.• How developers are adapting to uncertainty, shifting requirements, and long lead times.• What the latest connection queue reforms mean for projects in practice.• How networks, regulators, and industry can collaborate to accelerate connections.• What a future, streamlined connection process should look like for a net-zero power system.About our guest:Charles Deacon is Managing Director at Eclipse Power Solutions. Today we've got writer and publisher Dennis Mallonee, who moved from CalTech economics to #comics by pitching story ideas to Bill Mantlo and helping develop the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe with Rick Hoberg. Dennis recounts launching The Champions at a 1985 SDCC panel, first publishing through Eclipse, and then forming his own imprint that evolved into Heroic Publishing. We dig into the complicated licensing history with Hero Games, the disputes over tone and pinup art that led to revoked rights and renamed characters (Marksman → Huntsman, Foxbat → Flying Fox), and the 1988 ruling confirming Marvel had abandoned the Champions trademark. Dennis also touches on publishing 100+ comics, his 2009–2012 Flare newspaper strip, and building a unique #superhero universe. You can follow Dennis and his Heroic exploits on his site, heroicmultiverse.com, on X @heroicpublish, and on his own YouTube interview show, The Heroic Voice.Support the show___________________Check out video versions of this and other episodes on YouTube: youtube.com/dollarbinbandits!If you like this podcast, please rate, review, and subscribe on Apple Podcasts or wherever you found this episode. It's rare to find someone whose career spans 18 years in automotive manufacturing and venture capital, but Charly Mgwani, Partner at Eclipse Ventures, has done exactly that. His journey from the factory floor at Toyota, Nissan, Tesla and Rivian to backing hard tech companies gives him a perspective many VCs don't have.We sit down with Charly to explore how first principles thinking (questioning assumptions and getting back to root causes) drives real innovation in manufacturing. He walks us through Tesla's early days when they were asking questions nobody in the automotive industry had thought to ask, like whether robots could be programmed to work faster or if there was a better way to design for manufacturing. The conversation covers what Eclipse looks for in the founders they support, why being scrappy can lead to better manufacturing decisions, and why old manufacturing principles need rethinking as the industry flows in the opposite direction. In this episode, find out:How first principles thinking challenges manufacturing assumptions and unlocks innovationWhy asking “why not?” opens possibilities that “that's how it's always been done” closes offThe critical relationship between product design and manufacturability that many companies overlookWhat Charly learned about manufacturing during his time at Toyota and NissanWhy being capital-constrained can force creativity and focus in manufacturingThe questions Tesla asked that nobody in automotive had thought to ask beforeWhat Eclipse Ventures looks for in the founders they back and why that matters for hard tech companiesEnjoying the show? Please leave us a review here. Even one sentence helps. It's feedback from Manufacturing All-Stars like you that keeps us going!Tweetable Quotes:“I was ten years into my career when Elon was asking questions that had never been asked in automotive before. By forcing us to think about things from a first principle, we started identifying levers like part consolidation that are now commonplace in manufacturing today.”“Most folks design a factory as just what's inside the shell, but then you end up with over-built systems that don't speak to each other. If you design it as one product, like how a vehicle would be designed, there are more synergistic opportunities to simplify the utilities and make them complimentary.”“Manufacturing until recently has always flowed towards low labor costs and consolidation in pursuit of economies of scale. But now it's flowing in the other direction, so that means you can't depend on previous principles and how manufacturing has always been designed.”Links & mentions:Eclipse Ventures, partnering with entrepreneurs boldly transforming the essential industries that define and propel economies. Eclipse season can feel like a rupture — uncomfortable, illuminating, sometimes disorienting. It has a way of cracking us open and asking us to look honestly at how we're stepping into our power (or avoiding it) in our daily lives. In this episode, I explore dissociation as both a protector and a barrier: how it creates safety when we need it, but also how it can quietly distance us from our desires, our bodies, and our creative energy. Libra season has invited us to find more balance in this space, and as we move into Scorpio season, we're offered a chance to look at what's taking root and what is naturally falling away. Both are valid. Both are part of the process. If this conversation lands for you and you're craving support through this transition, my coaching books are open. In This week's episode of the Heal With Kat SHow we dive deep into the emotional aftershocks of big cosmic and personal shifts. We start by reflecting on how the eclipse has left us feeling — cracked open, renewed, or somewhere in between. Then, we move into the heart of family dynamics: how to love the people who shaped you while still protecting your peace and healing old wounds that still sting. Finally, we explore what it means to feel like two different versions of yourself — and how to integrate all your identities without feeling like a fraud. This is an episode about honesty, boundaries, and becoming whole.Question 1: How Are You Feeling After the Eclipse?Question 2: How Do You Love Your Family While Still Protecting Yourself From Those Old Wounds That Make You Feel Small?Question 3: I Feel Like Two Different People How Do You Integrate Different Identities Without Feeling Like A FraudConnect with Kat:

Home to Allan and his company, Software Strategy Ltd. Let him take up the story:Once upon a time I was a programmer, people I worked with thought I was quite a good one. I was part of a team building a hand-held PC, which was a big deal in 1991. I worked on electricity modelling, I wrote programs for railway timetables, software for banks and real-time data feeds for Reuters. I built secure e-mail systems and mobile phone network diagnostic tools. The code was not the problem, the problem was the way the team was set up, the problem was the way we were asked to work, or the way work reached us. To fix that problem I needed to become a manager… but I didn't want to be a foolish manager like all the ones I'd worked for before, so I got myself a management qualification. And while I was getting that qualification, I discovered that modern management thinking was very close to the then newly emerging field of “agile software development.” When I look back at my experiences so much of the good times matched the thing, we call agile.I still love software, I love coding, but I don't code any more. (Actually, I do code a little, for love.) I devote my time to helping make software better. In my mind when I'm teaching, advising, coaching, consulting I'm helping the person I used to be. When I see programmers at work I see my younger self. And I want them to do a great job, I want them to be able to do a better job than I ever did.Today I call myself an Agile Guide – I guide people and organizations to greater agility. I provide coaching and direct advice on agile working to leaders and teams creating digital products (software!). The companies I work with come from many fields as different as healthcare and surveying. However, they all depend on software to deliver for their customers. Without software they are nothing. Yesterday… I started coding in 1982 on a Sinclair ZX81. By 1986 I was earning money as a regular contributor to BBC Telesoftware – PDP, PDR, Eclipse, Fonts, Demon's Tomb, EMACS (no, not that emacs), Snapshot and Femcoms to name a few, mostly in 6502 assembler. In 1989 I was a system administrator with Nixdorf Computer. In 1991 I was a software tester at DIP in Guildford building the Sharp PC-3000. Even as an undergraduate I was hired by the University to help teach other undergraduates and occasionally post-graduates.
It is sobering to realize how insignificant we are in this universe, how much of a speck. And how much the grandeur of nature - a spectacular lunar eclipse, the sun shining on a quiet sea, a moonlit desert - shows us both the incredible world we live in - as also bring us back to the joy of minutiae, if only we have the eyes and time for it. And it brings us back to the gorgeous littleness of our lives. How the highest joys are often reserved for the smallest of things. To have someone in our lives, who knows where the hidden mole in our bodies is. Someone who absorbs the worst of what we are and is ready to let us sink in their arms, irrespective. To sit in serene comfort with each other without a single regret in our hearts. Someone for whose well being we pray with the innermost core of our hearts. Life finds its circle completed in strange mysterious ways. They are no large strokes, there are no Big Bang revelations, it is just the comfort our body and spirit know. A place where we are us and we call it our own. Did you know that the original name of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” was “Starlight” or “Dark Side Of The Moon” by Pink Floyd was going to be called “Eclipse”. Christopher and Tom start the show with a chat about the original titles of great albums – from the very good… to the very dumb. With the recent announcement of the new Rush tour with a new drummer, we thought we’d present a really great collection of clips from the Famous Lost Words archives. They are mostly with Geddy Lee and Neil Peart in the early ‘80s talking about the first nine Rush albums. Plus, we have a bonus clip of Christopher in conversation with Geddy in 1987 – today’s show is a must for any Rush fan. And we’ll close out the show with a tribute to KISS lead guitarist Ace Frehley. After Ace’s passing, Tom reached out to Brent Jensen of the podcast No Sleep Til Sudbury, who was as much of an Ace Frehley fan as Tom is. We’ll talk about Ace’s enormous influence on other rock stars and fans – and we’ll listen to three clips of Ace from the archives. This segment was a real labour of love for Brent and Tom – a couple of devoted KISS fans going way back.
https://youtu.be/ZZzP7DSH-ZM A ramshackle final dispatch from the Seattle Dimming Room. Read the accompanying literary piece via Substack:https://keatsross.substack.com/p/algol-rhythms-eclipse-magicks Help support our work-vehicle needs and relocation costs:https://spotfund.com/relocationcosts The Seattle Dimming Room ends today. This hodge-podge heretical holler of a video/audio cast is the final cross-current release between HAUNTOMANCER & PRAGMAGICK of the Seattle era. I don't believe I've been able to tend to these currents since the This transmission was a nightmare to cobble together—not because of any of the subject matter directly (although I'm sure the combined eclipse resonances discussed carry some blame), and not because of any prodcuction issues in creating its segments—but because of the tundra of confluences (beyond just the eclipses) and the heavy somatick staticks abound bore a sore stasis. It was tethered together on the nape of a new head's growth, and it may be discernable through the ramshackle technomantik issues apparent in the final draft. Amidst sacrificing a 5-year hard-won atmosphere into boxes and trunks fit for bigger and brighter while punching the malkuthian timeenergy captital-suckage of a tireless work/life balance is reason enough for the silence as of late, but I couldn't simply arrange this bric-a-brac episode together without some form of mercurian grump-glitch throwing a bone at every plan laid. Using everything else outside my usual tools and talismans proved quite the feat, but this is but the growing pains of the headless. Still a wild body be-bopping and jigging in arrhythmic meter while the new head grows—no mouth to tooth a scream but a whole lotta leg to run ragged even still. The discussion concluded with conversations about lunar transportation, power requirements, and the importance of maintaining public interest in space exploration, while also touching on the role of AI in education and research.David and John Jossy discussed personal matters, including John's upcoming meeting with his son and David's struggles with overeating. They briefly touched on political topics, such as the upcoming New Jersey governor's race and concerns about New York City's direction. Haym joined later and shared his focus on lunar lava tubes, including their structure and potential for habitation, but noted he hadn't made any new progress on habitats recently. Space Show Zoom participants included Dr. Charles Lurio, John Hunt, John Jossy, Marshall Martin, Dr. Ajay Kothari, and Joe Pistritto.I announced upcoming guests for the space show, including Sam Ximenes who is the founder and CEO of Astroport Space, Mike Gruntman, and Homer Hickam for the next Hotel Mars program. I also discussed progress on getting podcasts back on various platforms and the challenges of accepting donations through Substack due to our nonprofit status. Dr. Haym Benaroya, a mechanical engineering professor at Rutgers University, was introduced as the guest for the day, having previously appeared on the show and authored books on lunar exploration.Haym reported strong student interest in space and lunar engineering at Rutgers, with many students pursuing independent research projects and finding placement at companies like SpaceX, Blue Origin, and NASA. He teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in spacecraft and mission design, and while he hasn't pursued commercial work himself, he is interested in studying lunar lava tubes as a logical progression from his previous lunar habitat research. His current research focuses on the structural stability of lava tubes, particularly examining the trade-offs between pressurized and unpressurized tubes, which serves as a valuable training ground for students. Our Zoom Space Show participants in this program, along with Dr. Benaroya, discussed lunar habitat options, with Haym explaining that lava tubes would be more suitable for third-generation habitats due to access and infrastructure challenges. Haym suggested that initial lunar structures would likely be cylindrical pressure vessels or inflatable modules that could be pre-constructed and shielded with regolith, with 3D printing as a future possibility once energy and robotic capabilities improve. Marshall raised the need for an exploratory rover to map lava tubes, with Haym confirming that some students have developed small-scale models with LiDAR equipment for this purpose. The group discussed the exploration and potential habitation of lunar lava tubes, emphasizing the need for robotic technology to assess their structural stability and safety. Haym and others highlighted the challenges of robotics on the Moon due to factors like regolith and radiation, suggesting a high reliance on robotics but acknowledging their complexity. Marshall mentioned the use of seismic technology to map lava tubes, while Joe referenced a presentation on a tethered rover concept for exploration. The conversation also touched on the balance between human and robotic efforts in preparing lava tubes for habitation, with Haym suggesting a significant robotic presence. David asked about the feasibility of similar efforts on Mars, and Haym noted that while gravity might differ, many challenges would remain similar. We continued talking about the potential for lava tubes on the Moon and their possible water content, with Haym noting that while water could theoretically accumulate in tubes, it would be a longer process than in permanently shadowed regions. They explored the temperature conditions in lava tubes, with Haym citing a source that suggested temperatures around 63 degrees Fahrenheit, though the accuracy of this measurement in a vacuum environment was questioned. The conversation then shifted to the need for lunar landing pads, with David raising the question of current technological readiness and the necessary robotic construction methods, emphasizing the need for structural analysis and material selection. We did focus on the challenges and potential solutions for lunar landing pads, including their structural stability and regolith displacement. Haym highlighted concerns about the instability of tall rockets landing on the moon and proposed two classes of landing sites: sintering the surface or using ceramic-like plates. John Jossy mentioned Ethos Space's work on a regolith compacting device, though David noted their timeline was far off into the future. The conversation also touched on the need for engineering tests and inspections for lunar infrastructure while suggesting that Sam, our upcoming Sunday guest, could provide insights on regolith-based landing pads. The discussion concluded with a consensus that energy, particularly fission energy, would be crucial for mapping lava tubes and other lunar activities. We continued with a discussion of power requirements for lunar and Martian bases, while noting that the current proposed nuclear power is sufficient for now, future needs will require megawatt-scale power. They agreed that cables would be the simplest method to transport power to construction sites, though Marshall emphasized the uncertainty of permanent vs. temporary needs on the moon. The discussion concluded with predictions about lunar missions, with Haym and others expressing confidence that China will send a person to the moon within 5-8 years, while Joe noted uncertainty about American lunar missions in the same timeframe. The group discussed various concepts for lunar transportation, including maglev trains and rovers, but noted that current U.S. lunar ambitions lack key components like a lander and the Gateway station, which was revived by Sen. Cruz for Artemis missions 4 and 5. They debated the status of Boeing's Starliner and Orion programs, with Orion being considered in good shape despite some heat shield issues, while NASA is exploring alternative rocket options like Starship, New Glenn, or Falcon Heavy. The discussion concluded with David raising the importance of communicating the value of lunar missions to the general public, emphasizing the need for clear benefits that could be realized within a reasonable timeframe.Zoom participants along with Haym talked up the benefits of lunar exploration, with Haym explaining that while students are excited by the prospect of space activities, the long-term economic benefits could include advancements in civilian technology, a lunar-based economy, and access to helium-3 for fusion reactions. Ajay noted that the excitement factor, similar to Hollywood, is important for public engagement, while Haym mentioned potential medical benefits of conducting cancer research in lunar gravity. The discussion highlighted that while immediate benefits might not be apparent, the cumulative economic and technological impacts over 50-100 years could significantly benefit society. The group discussed the potential for mining lunar resources and the importance of maintaining public interest in space exploration. They agreed that frequent and exciting missions, such as those involving lava tubes or live broadcasts, could help generate public enthusiasm. Joe noted that the Eclipse missions might be more exciting than Artemis, while Marshall mentioned the high viewership of the Starship test flight. When asked, Haym shared how artificial intelligence is being used in his spacecraft course to help students produce polished summaries of papers, reducing their workload.Haym discussed the integration of AI in education and research, sharing his experience with using AI tools to assist in teaching and conducting research. He highlighted the potential of AI to accelerate research processes and optimize habitat design, emphasizing the need for human oversight to guide AI's capabilities. John Jossy brought up the work of the Purdue University's Brazilian Extraterrestrial Habitats Institute on automating habitats and using AI for design, which Haym acknowledged as impressive. The group discussed the rapid pace of AI development and its potential to transform future technology, including its application in space missions. David asked about the path from academic theories and projects to real-world lunar missions, but the response was vague.Haym emphasized the need for affordable lunar missions to test technologies in the actual lunar environment, highlighting the importance of both commercial and governmental efforts. He noted that while small landers have made progress, costs remain a significant challenge. Haym also discussed his previous work, including his books on space exploration and lunar habitats, and shared insights on AI in academic writing. The conversation concluded with a discussion about unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs), where Haym expressed skepticism about the technology claims but acknowledged the possibility of extraterrestrial origins. The conversation ended with participants expressing appreciation for the discussion and format, and David announced the next meeting with Sam on Sunday. Haym and others shared positive feedback on the new Space Show format, and David highlighted the challenges posed by AI, including its impact on website security and data privacy. Charles and Joe discussed the broader implications of AI on the web, with Charles noting the degradation of web content and Joe emphasizing the technological battle between defenders and attackers. David expressed frustration with the costs and technical challenges of defending against AI-driven attacks, and the group agreed on the need for ongoing vigilance and adaptation.Special thanks to our sponsors:Northrup Grumman, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Helix Space in Luxembourg, Celestis Memorial Spaceflights, Astrox Corporation, Dr. Haym Benaroya of Rutgers University, The Space Settlement Progress Blog by John Jossy, The Atlantis Project, and Artless EntertainmentOur Toll Free Line for Live Broadcasts: 1-866-687-7223 (Not in service at this time)For real time program participation, email Dr. Space at: drspace@thespaceshow.com for instructions and access. The Space Show is a non-profit 501C3 through its parent, One Giant Leap Foundation, Inc. Dr. Erwin Lutzer, Pastor Emeritus of The Moody Church is back with Jenny to explore the cultural and theological crisis facing America today, emphasizing the need to return to a biblical understanding of God amidst rising secularism. Dr. Lutzer shares wisdom and insight on our culture and the distorted view it has of God. He shows us how to engage people with truth, as he encourages believers to persevere and be the light in an ever increasingly dark world. His latest book, “The Eclipse of God:: Our Nation's Disastrous Search for a More Inclusive Deity” exposes our nation's disastrous efforts to redefine God in its own image. The resulting damage is evident in our world and churches today. “Americans don't mind saying they believe in God, just as long as they get to choose the God in whom they believe.” He explains objective truth has existed outside of us, but now the criterion of truth has now moved to inside the individual human being, so that's why there is so much confusion in the world today. “Love and Truth are not enemies - love rejoices in the truth.” God has not changed. We need God for truth, for morality and law. Dr. Lutzer emphasizes we need to return to the God of the Bible and not the gods of popular culture. As believers in Christ, we need to make sure we do not bow to the culture, but teach what the Bible teaches and live with the consequences. The question is,“What price are you willing to pay for truth?” You can hear Dr. Lutzer on his daily radio broadcast “Running To Win.” He is an award-winning author of over 50 books, including “We Will Not Be Silenced.” You can find Pastor Lutzer's sermons, articles, and media at moody church.org. Their interview is from at the 2025 NRB - International Christian Media Convention. You can hear the entire interview on a future “Crossroads With Jenny Bushkell. We've got a surprise for you this week – Sabrina is back! She and Sonia T. are taking full control of the mic while Sonia C. is teaching, and they are tackling the barking dogs. We've all had seasons when the barking dogs are really revved up, but when your expectations of yourself and others start to spin out of control, it's time for you to take charge and calm down. This week's theme is: You – not your barking dog – are in control of you! Reserve your seat at the Speed Dial Your Guidance Experience today! Highlights: Welcome back to the podcast, Sabrina! [:30] Eclipse season is wrapping up, and our shadows are ready to rest. [2:02] Quieting the inner critic. [9:34] Check your expectations – of yourself and others! [11:50] You get to turn the awareness dial up or down. [17:30] Meet Pete and Peony! What is your barking dog's name? [19:40] You get to choose what news you consume. [25:05] Who tells you that you're too much? [30:00] Tool of the Week: Embrace your inner child, but don't let her drive the bus. [39:10] Question of the Week: Are birds really my spirit guides? [42:54] Eclipse season is wrapping up, and our spirits are rejoicing! Something about the shadows that come out during eclipse season can leave us feeling unsettled about our lives and unsure about our relationships, but it doesn't have to be that way! Being intuitive sometimes means knowing others' needs even before they do, but that awareness dial doesn't always need to be turned up to full volume. You can choose to quiet the dial, and you just may preserve your happy relationships in the process! Today on the podcast, we also welcome Pete and Peony, the barking dogs! Your ego intellect can be named and can be put to good use in service to your spirit. But when you let the dog drive the bus, it gets really loud, really quickly! When your barking dog gets critical and starts thinking in black and white and just knows it's right about everything, it's time to name it to tame it. Remember, you are in control here, not your barking dog. Tool of the Week: Embrace your inner child, but don't let her drive the bus. [39:10] Question of the Week: Are birds really my spirit guides?
