Back up in this bitch again! Who knew that white folk got down with P-Funk hard? Governor Mike Dewine had Covid, then he didn’t, that’s the theme of this episode, it’s all over the place and wild AF. While reading another article we discover one of the sources we used has some issues so we delve into that. That led us to discussing Jaguar Wright’s claims about The Roots, Common and the Soulquarians in general. As we continue to discuss ain’t shit people, we add Ellen to the list. Subway has a McRib and Ant’s partner said we should discuss it so we did. But we also discussed other fast food knockoffs that outshone the original.  Did y’all hear about this Marty Jannetty situation? Well strap in for a wild ride. Is Gabe a racist? His kid has concerns. Tee recounts tales of his home security. All of this leads to a bit of real talk, but real good talk. We of course, cap it off with another visit to the Reddit mean streets and ask, AITA? As we attempt to wrap it up we start discussing toys and Transformers, and Jurassic Park. This of course leads to us discussing science and books. Book chat spirals into Movie chat, seriously, by the time we wrap it up the show was supposed to have ended like 20-30 minutes before that but we got into a groove and it was to good to stop. Neal McCready (RebelGrove.com) and Jay G. Tate (AuburnSports.com) are joined by Gabriel "Gabe" DeArmond from PowerMizzou.com to talk about sundry topics including: * We start without Neal, but then Neal re-appears! * Why do writers complain about stuff all the time? * Is Gabe going too far to express his appreciation for Patrick Mahomes? * Jay learns why teams didn't want Tyreek Hill out of JUCO and Division-I football. * Jay discusses his collection of jerseys, which is terrible, and why he doesn't own an Iverson jersey. * Discussing another iffy slate of SEC games. * Gabe somehow is intrigued by Rutgers @ Kansas, which may end up being the worst game of the entire season. Don't worry, folks, you're not having a flashback. We're not talking about the 1967 animated film The Jungle Book on this week's episode of Mousterpiece Cinema; instead, Josh and Gabe are talking about the live-action remake of the same name, featuring the voices of Bill Murray, Idris Elba, Ben Kingsley, Scarlett Johansson, Christopher Walken, and more! And they're joined by friend of the show Genevieve Koski of The Next Picture Show to talk all things Kipling. Or, all things Disneyfied Kipling. Does this film improve upon its animated predecessor? Are its effects as impressive as promised? Is Gabe going to continue his streak of being super-negative? Find out now!

Ladies and gentlemen, we are almost there! Actually, for longtime listeners, scratch that, we ARE there--we're finally able to talk about the 2009 film The Princess and the Frog on today's episode of Mousterpiece Cinema. If you're new to the show, you might not know, but Josh has long hinted at being a big fan of this hand-drawn animated story of a young African-American woman who kisses a frog only to turn into one herself in 1920s-era New Orleans. After all that build-up, he's able to go on and on about how much he loves this film; he loves it so much, he sings once again! (Not a song from this movie. Not a song from any Disney movie, actually.) Is Gabe on board the love train this week? Or does Josh have to invoke the infamous disapproving-dog meme to respond to his co-host? And will Gabe impersonate Tom Waits, for once and for all? Find out now!
