Every morning before school, Harrison James was sexually abused by his stepmother. When he came home, he'd be abused again that night. He was only 13. This happened for three years, until one day when he was sitting on the bus in his school uniform and he received a text. His stepmother was pregnant with his daughter. Within every story in the Bible, God used real people to further His Kingdom, despite their flaws and shortcomings. The Lord looks for people with obedient hearts to carry out His plans and receive His promises. No matter what circumstances come against you, the Lord's grace is powerful enough to sustain you and use it for His glory.
The sermon, Activate Your Faith, dove into the essence of faith, emphasizing the transition from a works-based mindset to understanding salvation through grace. Pastor Paul cautioned us against complacency post-salvation, urging believers to manifest their faith through actions, not just words, drawing insights from biblical narratives and personal anecdotes to illustrate the importance of a genuine, transformed life. Paul concluded with a heartfelt call to activate faith through sincere repentance, surrender to God, and a commitment to living out one's faith in daily thoughts, words, and actions.
