Weekly messages from Victory Family Centre, Singapore.
As we walk in the purpose that God has given to us, not only do we impact the world around us, but we're also able to bring other's into His purpose as well. We need to choose to take ownership, invest in where He's placed us, and decide to start now!
God has purposed us for greater things – we can understand His purpose by His word, receive it through surrender, remain in it by saying no to lesser things, and advance in it through courage and perseverance.
We are each part of God's purpose, and have a unique calling and gift. We accomplish our purpose when we take our place in what God is doing, through His plan, timing, preparation, and commission.
Regardless of what our situation looks like, we can have bildness, peace, and hope because of what Jesus has done for us on the cross. It's not over until God says it is!
God desires for us to live a life of victory, but many times the circumstances around us can cause us to think and live otherwise. We need to learn to trust and surrender as God leads, and set the table for Him to move.
Gentleness and self control bring rest, freedom, and fulfilment to us. What we don't control will eventually control us, so as we exercise these fruits of the spirit consistently, we will able to walk out the call of God confidently!
God calls us to live out kindness and goodness, and not get caught up in the culture of this world. We need to actively be choosing His way, and speaking truths without tearing others down. Let's guide others towards change, and not just cover-ups!
Patience and faithfulness in the small things allow us to be entrusted with the big things – they require strength and discipline in continuing consistently. As we focus and remind ourselves of His promises, we need to be determined to obey where God leads us!
The life of Jesus is the exact opposite of casual! We are called to a new level of commitment and urgency to see the lost be saved. We can no longer kick back or remain on the sidelines – we need to step out!
As we pursue the visions God has placed in our hearts, we need to have faith, perseverance, and align ourselves with His call. Let's continue to dream for what God can do in and through us!
Biblical joy is more than just a feeling; it's found in God's presence and is a response to His promises. Let us make thankfulness a habit, as we focus on God and His promises.
We are called to live differently from the culture around us, and God has given us the fruit of the Spirit to do so! God shows us that real love is sacrificial, not transactional, and is based on the character of the giver, not the worthiness of the receiver.
We are called to be an Antioch church – a church with a vision, a process, leaders, that is full of the Holy Spirit, and engaged in the Great Commission. Let's continue to take ground in Singapore, and the nations of the world!
We have a responsibility to go, send, and proclaim the Good News to the world. As we make missions a priority, we need to allow God to stretch us and believe that He will provide.
We have been given everything we need for a victorious life! We were made to take ground and move forward in faith, no matter how the enemy tries to move us out of our spiritual position.
God is calling us to take ground together as a church. We all have a part tp play, and we need to respond in faith. Let's take charge to move in the call that God has for us!
God desires for us to have a childlike faith. To have childlike faith is to be trusting, humble, and faith-filled. As we grown and learn from His Word, it should lead us to Jesus and becoming more like Him.
There are new places that God wants to occupy in our world and in our hearts. It is a call to move forward in faith, participation, and consecration. God desires to expand and transform our lives today!
Our capacity expands when we begin to expect greater, obey even when its inconvenient, and step into the unfamiliar. We get a change in perspective, lifestyle, and direction as we allow God to do more through us!
God's change in us is necessary! It is supernatural, progressive, makes us radically new, and impacts those around us. Let's actively choose to make space for it by surrendering ourselves and taking time to behold God.
Mature faith responds with prayer in every circumstance! We can do that by creating a habit of prayer, and actively choosing to engage in prayer with the community God has given to us.
A mature faith is demonstrated by making up our mind to commit to the right side. In doing so, we need to fully commit to walking in humility, drawing close to God, and turning from sin.
Because of Jesus, we have been set free to obey the commandments that have been given to us. We're not saved through following them, we are save to follow them! We love effectively by speaking the truth, and speak the truth effectively by loving.
A developed and mature faith is demonstrated in the words we speak. Our words set the direction of our lives, and are a reflection of our hearts. We need to let God transform our hearts, and in turn, our words.
Faith is shown in our beliefs and actions and as we take that step of obedience, we make an impact on those around us. Let's be bold to step into His promises!
There are unexpected times of suffering and pain, but in those moments, we need to allow these trials to build our trust, intimacy, and growth in God. We can actively choose to reach out, and respond in praise!
Faith transforms trials into growth, and sees each test as a chance to deepen our trust in God. Let's look to God as our solution, for comfort, understanding, and the way forward.
God's promise is a call to action! Our faith is shown in response to God's word. As we prepare for increase, we need to adopt a new perspective, make space for Him to move, and take radical steps of obedience.
Faith creates space that only God can fill. We should grow our faith in hope, revelation, and assurance, as we choose to actively break out of the limits and barriers that hold us back.
The Holy Spirit desires to fill us with God's perspective and wisdom. He wants to change our minds on past victories, old perspectives, and wrong mindsets, and calls us to respond!
When we hear the Word of God, it will change our norm! It signals a new season, and calls us to respond to it in return. We need to think bigger, expect more, and prepare for His increase.
God has new promises in every starting point for us! He desires to add new chapters to our lives and its important for us to step into each starting point.
God is looking for those He can trust, and He wants to trust us! His trust grows in response to our surrender, and is earned through testing. The most immediate test involves what God has already placed in our hands.
The Good News has the power to transform lives! Join first- and second-generation Christians, Dave Ang, Tan Hock Chi, and Clare Tan as they share personal stories of faith and how a single act of sharing the Good News led to life-changing moments.Be encouraged and inspired to bring the Good News to those around you, as these stories remind us of the profound impact sharing can have on someone's life.If this is your first time with us, we'd love to get in touch with you to let you know more about us. When God gives us a call, He also provides a way for it. We need to learn to trust and rely on Him, and know that with Him all things are possible!
Many times our selfishness and circumstances can rob us of our joy. God calls us to live a life of thankfulness, which leads to praise, and in turn, the breakthrough that we need!
We need to recognise that we serve an unlimited God! As we offer up an unconditional surrender, we get to step into unimaginable possibilities that God has for us.
When God's purpose becomes our priority, we will change the world! We reflect His heart when we become givers, and not just receivers.
Choosing to wait on God produces powerful results! It is not passive, and begins with surrendering. We can fill the waiting period with encouragement, and be prepared to move when He moves!
When we realise what we're carrying, we start seeing opportunities, focusing more on others, and taking responsibility. As believers we're called to carry the presence of God wherever we go!
There are many things in life that we carry, and what we choose to pick up, changes us. In order for us to carry the new thing God has designed for us, we have to put down the old things we were carrying.
God has called us to be obedient to step into HIs call! Though we may not see the full plan, our job is to stay close to Him and follow where He guides us. It's not about where we're going, but who we're going with!
While God is interested in our personal growth, He is most interested in seeing his church built. Our growth enables the growth of others, but it requires our personal response.
As we continue to grow, we need to recognise that trials give us more opportunities to expand ourselves. We should see Christ as our goal, and remember that our "Yes" will determine the extent of our growth.
Growth in God's Kingdom, is not simply knowledge but fruitfulness! We need to be consistent, be open to change,. and push through no matter how tough it might seem.
There will be things that happen in this life that are completely out of our control, but God's purposes will still prevail! We need to release the "I don't know" moments, and rest in the mystery of God.
God desires to speak, to use, and to change us! We need to prepare our hearts, as we grow when God's word is received. We need to be consistent in taking care of the ground of our hearts.
There are many things in this world that change, things speed up, and decisions can be complicated. However, God's love, word, and purpose for us never changes!
We need to place our focus and heart on the things that God has for us. Our decisions today reflect the position of our hearts, and we need to be ready for God to stretch us!
God wants to make us new, not just better! We need to choose daily to live with kingdom priority instead of earthly purposes or blessings.
God can do more with our "less" than we can do with our "more"! As we choose to trust in God, we release our anxieties to Him, knowing that He is someone we can depend on.
