David may have been young and inexperienced but he had faith in the God he loved and worshipped. When it came time to face the taunting giant, only he had the courage to fight. Jeremiah, often called the “weeping prophet” because of his sorrow over the persistent message of God's judgment, prophesied to the nation of Judah from the reign of King Josiah in 627 b.c. until sometime after the destruction of Jerusalem in 586. He dictated his prophecies to a scribe named Baruch (36:4, 32). Jeremiah's task as a prophet was to declare the coming judgment of God. However, throughout the book we also see God's concern for repentance and righteousness in individuals as well as nations. This dual focus is seen in God's instructions to Jeremiah: he was “to pluck up and to break down” but also “to build and to plant” (1:10). Jeremiah sees a future day when God will write his law on human hearts, and “they shall all know me,” and “I will remember their sin no more”.FaithLife Christian Ministries:Download our Free App:https://get.theapp.co/hghqPodcast:https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/faithlife-christian-ministries/id1606442323Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/faithlifecmInstagram:https://www.instagram.com/faithlifecm?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==X:https://x.com/faithlifecmLinkedin:https://www.linkedin.com/in/faithlife-christian-ministries-82ab77191/YouTube:https://www.youtube.com/@FaithLifeChristianMinistriesWebsite:https://faithlifecm.comDonate: https://subsplash.com/u/faithlifechristianminist/giveTable Talk with Yvette Gallinar:https://www.instagram.com/yvette_gallinar/https://www.facebook.com/yvettegallinarhttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/table-talk-with-yvette-gallinar/id1729036339https://rumble.com/user/tabletalkwithyvettegallinarhttps://x.com/Yvettegallinarhttps://www.youtube.com/@tabletalkwithyvettegallinar

Philippians was written during Paul's first Roman Imprisonment and is known as a 'Prison Letter,' along with Ephesians, Colossians and Philemon. The Church at Philippi had sent Paul a gift by way of Epaphroditus, their messenger. Epaphroditus had become sick in Rome and the Philippian Christians were concerned about him. The theme of the book is "joy," or "rejoicing in the Lord." The word 'joy' in its various forms occurs 16 times. There were also perils to watch for, because there were enemies of the church, both inside and outside. Paul warns the Philippians of the present dangers of a self-seeking attitude and an attitude of pride, both of which could lead to harmful divisions. Unlike several of Paul's other letters, Ephesians does not address any particular error or heresy. Paul wrote to help his readers better understand the dimensions of God's eternal purpose and grace and come to appreciate the high goals God has for the church. One of Paul's themes is that of unity - all Christians are one family in Jesus, and they should act with love toward each other. He also writes about the church - not the church building, but the church that is made up of all Crhsitians through all the ages. A thought-provoking sermon series delving into the complexities of the Corinthian church. The city of Corinth was a wealthy trade center. It was also known throughout the Roman world as a wicked city. Because the church in Corinth was new, it was hard for the Christians there not to act like their neighbors, consequently the church was having some problems. In this series, we will be tackling issues of division, immorality, and dysfunction. Through the lens of 1 Corinthians, discover how even the ‘messed up' aspects of the church can serve as lessons in grace, redemption, and restoration.
