Is salvation by faith alone, or do our works play a role? In this episode, we dive into the tension between Paul's teaching on grace and James's challenge that faith without works is dead. We'll explore how these two powerful truths complement—not contradict—each other. Join us as we unpack what real, saving faith looks like, and how our actions reveal the heart of what we believe.
James is one of the most popular books in church history, but why is that? Pastor Ryan walks us through the major themes of this book as we learn more about what God's grace really does in our lives.

Is your faith alive—or on life support? James 2 calls us to a faith that works—a faith that can be seen, felt, and that makes a difference. We'll talk about moving from passive belief to an active, obedient, servant-hearted faith that doesn't just claim Jesus but lives for Him every day. Don't miss this chance to do some spiritual CPR!
Emma unpacks what James really means by a “faith that works”—not faith and works, but a kind of belief so alive it moves. Not stagnant. Not private. But the kind that flows outward—into love, sacrifice, and radical trust. Because real faith doesn't just nod its head. It walks. It carries. It builds. It lives.

God is omniscient. He knows everything. Pastor Ray Bentley points out why that fact is so encouraging. I want you to know this. Your dad in heaven loves you so much. He knows you how you're wired. He knows what would make you the most complete, happy, and fulfilled. And guess what? If you will delight yourself in the Lord. The Bible says he also will give you the desires of your heart.
James 2:14-26. From the "The Letter of James" sermon series. Preached by Jody Killingsworth.
We are saved by grace through faith. The Bible is clear about that. It's not by anything we've done. And yet, pastor Ray Bentley says, the Bible also points out works are still important. James comes along and says, hey, if you have faith or belief, but you don't have works in your life that demonstrate that you actually believe, he says, then you have a dead faith and that won't save you.
