Is your faith alive—or on life support? James 2 calls us to a faith that works—a faith that can be seen, felt, and that makes a difference. Emma unpacks what James really means by a “faith that works”—not faith and works, but a kind of belief so alive it moves. Not stagnant. Not private. But the kind that flows outward—into love, sacrifice, and radical trust. Because real faith doesn't just nod its head. It walks. It carries. It builds. It lives.

God is omniscient. He knows everything. Pastor Ray Bentley points out why that fact is so encouraging. I want you to know this. Your dad in heaven loves you so much. He knows you how you're wired. He knows what would make you the most complete, happy, and fulfilled. And guess what? If you will delight yourself in the Lord. The Bible says he also will give you the desires of your heart.

Join Matt Swords and David Burr as they discuss this weekend's message on the importance of both faith and works to the Christian life. We receive salvation by faith, as a gift from God, not by works, but then we are called to do good works for the kingdom. Thus, as James says, our faith is evident in the works we do. Tune in for Matt and David's personal insights and strategies for how we live out a faith that works.

The question is, how does the faith counted for righteousness relate to the fruit of faith? For 500 years, Mennonites have connected faith and its fruit in a way that makes the fruit of faith the foundation of faith, and for 500 years, Protestants have separated faith and its fruit in a way that makes […] The post Championing a Faith that Works Without Losing One's Faith appeared first on Bethel Mennonite Church - Gladys VA.
We are saved by grace through faith. The Bible is clear about that. It's not by anything we've done. And yet, pastor Ray Bentley says, the Bible also points out works are still important. James comes along and says, hey, if you have faith or belief, but you don't have works in your life that demonstrate that you actually believe, he says, then you have a dead faith and that won't save you.

Faith That Works by Love | 11 June 2025 by Pastor Michael Billings
What we believe in our minds and what feels true in our hearts determines how we live. Unbiblical beliefs lead to sinful living. This is especially true of beliefs about the relationship between faith and works. Here are five faulty views: True faith requires perfection in all areas of life: obedience, spiritual desire, applications of […] The post Championing a Faith That Works appeared first on Bethel Mennonite Church - Gladys VA.

Pastor Steven shares how faith and works are often seen as opposites, but the Bible actually shows that our faith comes alive and God gets the glory when we step into the good things He's already planned for us. Are we doing good works to prove ourselves? Or are we surrendering to be transformed and used by God to prove Him?Love Church is a Christian Church fam based in Menomonie, WI with a desire to experience & express the love of God.
