Jersey Baseball Show - powered by NJ College Baseball Nation
If you are a college baseball fan, this is a half hour you won't want to miss! It's hard to imagine that college baseball has a better advocate than Mike Rooney. The Delco native was a game away from Omaha as a super utility man at Notre Dame, a long time assistant for mentor Pat Murphy in the Pac-12 (Arizona State), a JUCO head coach, and now the game's premier analyst, both at ESPN and in his commentary and Podcasts for d1baseball.com. He's a walking encyclopedia for the sport and one of it's great connectors. And the passion and clarity in his voice when he talks about issues like recruiting, scheduling, premier players, growing the game is simply awesome to hear. Our guest on this week's Clean Leather, Mike talks about the state of the sport heading into 2022, gives us some national things to look forward to, talks some NJ College Baseball, offers some solutions into the recruiting mess, and hits on his memories of South Jersey High School baseball. Yes, Mike was also the high school head coach of Phillies announcer Ben Davis, then one of the premier amateur players in the sport.SUBSCRIBE to youtube.com/NJCollegeBaseballNation for more great interviews.
