This episode, fresh off her submersible news withdrawal, true-crime expert Lisa Ball joins the podcast to share her insight on the Supreme Court's crime cases from this week. Tune in for discussion on an international Russian hit job, an "adult adoption" immigration scam, and a shocking swing from the court to side with Biden on US v. Texas. Also, things get a bit chaotic when John and Zack realize they took a selfie with someone who went on the submersible and lived?? Last, don't forget to leave our podcast a rating if you enjoy :)
In the latest challenge to Roe v. Wade and abortion rights across America, the state of Mississippi has brought a case defending a new law which bans abortion once a pregnancy has reached the post-15 week period. In the words of Mississippi legislators, they're bringing this case since there are “three new justices” on the court. Analyzing this phrase, Justice Sotomayor puts it best when she asks the question: “will this institution survive the stench” created by overruling 50 years of legal precedent due to partisan pressures? (Spoiler alert: what these seven Catholics have to say about abortion will SHOCK you). Tune in for: Updates for the ruling on Jan 8th's “large employer” Biden vaccine mandate case Discussion of relevant legal precedent affecting abortion rights The politics of the Supreme Court during other critical abortion cases in American history Legal arguments from Commander Waterford of Handmaid's Tale, arguing on behalf of the state of Mississippi A complete “tour-de-force” from Justices Sotomayor and Breyer in attempt to save our constitution and the legitimacy of the US Supreme court. And most importantly for this immediate ruling, predictions on how the three new justices will rule based on their courtroom questioning. And last but not least, tune in as well for the “Three Balls, One Court” legal analysis section featuring insight from Ohio State nursing student Lisa Ball.

This week author Joel Moore and I will be joined by musicians Steve and Lisa Ball to tell us more about the popular music during the Civil War.
This week author Joel Moore and I will be joined by Steve and Lisa Ball to discuss and listen to the music that was popular with the Union. Some songs we may never know the origins of, but many are well documented and have rich stories behind them.
In this lil pod of spiritual goodness I converse with the luminous Lisa Ball as we take Usher to a deserted Island to retrace her path from landmark to corporate Lawyer-dom through Italy and Catholic mysticism to Bali to become a yoga teacher and back to the Corporate world to remember what not to do then launch into Family mediation all the while practicing meditation that leads nowhere!! so much fun!
