Send us a textBuckle up for this one, its a really amazing, and extraordinary story of courage, will power, and total inspiration. Lindsay Boudreau had a very rare underlying illness, CMT Disease, that meant she had weakened sensations in her feet, and so she couldn't feel the pain of an infection caused by a nail she had stepped on, one day while walking. Over many weeks, she became very ill, and very weak, and doctors simply couldn't find what was wrong with her until it was too late. Eventually, on realizing the spreading infection could kill her, they took steps to amputate. Lindsay is a beacon of hope for those who are living life after limb loss, and even has a coaching business, helping other limb loss survivors and other medical trauma survivors, by building hope and resilience and practicing mindfulness and wellbeing. Dr. Jack Stockwell (www.forbiddendoctor.com & www.jackstockwell.com | Phone: 866-867-5070), a GAPS Practitioner and NUCCA Chiropractor, discusses the biggest concerns for health and medical news from a natural position over a Western Medicine approach. He starts today's episode with how chiropractors with a focus on upper cervical care can help with neurodegenerative health issues, how MRIs can assist in preventative care to avoid the need for certain surgeries, and the health of the brainstem and how it is imperative to pay attention to neck health. Dr. Jack shares that, when he gets to a Parkinsons patient early enough, he can help prolong progression of the disease, how he's helped epileptic patients minimize their seizures, and how much better the brain works on a KETO diet.Moving on, Dr. Jack dives into RFK Jr.'s removal of every member of a scientific committee that advises the CDC and pledged to replace them with his own picks, foods banned in Europe but not the US, why more than half of the American population are overweight, and the importance of safe vaccines.Last, and certainly not least, Doug and Dr. Jack cover supplements linked to liver damage, but often times it falls down to how it's processed. Many of these supplements — like ashwagandha, turmeric, green tea, garcinia cambogia, and red yeast rice — have been known for hundreds-thousands of years to be very restorative to the human body and part of the backbone of Ayurvedic medicine and Chinese medicine. Dr. Jack explains why it's important these supplements are food-based products and not food-like products. Website: GoodDayHealthShow.comSocial Media: @GoodDayNetworks

Host Doug Stephan and Dr. Ken Kronhaus of Lake Cardiology (352-735-1400) cover a number of topics affecting our health. First up, Doug and Dr. Ken discuss the biggest news stories in the medical world, starting with a focus on the good news that eating more fruits and vegetables has been found to promote better sleep, the brain-health benefits of cycling, and why high blood pressure is linked to developing Alzheimers and other forms of dementias. Continuing with the Alzheimer's and dementia, Doug and Dr. Ken share why sitting too long can raise the risk of developing the progressive neurodegenerative diseases, and how too much time in your seat can undo any amount of exercise in which you partake. Next, the conversation shifts to biological aging on a cellular level, Eli Lilly's acquisition of Verve Therapeutics, and the evolved thinking of cholesterol and that “good cholesterol” isn't as good as once thought. Then, a push from RFK Jr. and members of congress to stop drug companies from advertising on radio and television, how to extend years on your life and age healthily (following a healthy diet like the MIND or Mediterranean Diets, regular physical activity, and cognitive and social engagement), a potential blood test that could indicate how long a person may live, and how the usage of marijuana dramatically increases the risk of dying from a heart attack or stroke. Oh, and there's a new COVID-19 variant (AKA razor blade throat) with a very painful sore throat symptom.Website: GoodDayHealthShow.comSocial Media: @GoodDayNetworks

Nurse Practitioner Cody Sliger reveals the hidden crisis in men's healthcare through both professional expertise and personal experience. Despite significant advances in medical science, men continue to suffer worse health outcomes than women, largely because they avoid seeking help until it's too late. The conversation dives deep into why this happens. Harvard research confirms that societal expectations of masculinity directly contribute to higher mortality rates when men eventually reach hospitals with chronic conditions. When seeking help is viewed as weakness, and when work schedules make healthcare appointments financially impossible, men face an impossible choice between immediate family needs and their own wellbeing.Whether you're concerned about your own health or someone you care about, this episode provides vital insights that could literally save lives. Reach out, speak up, and remember that seeking help isn't weakness—it's the strongest choice you can make. For more content from Centra Health check us out on the following channels.YouTubeFacebookInstagramTwitter

This week Michelle is back with her ‘5 Simple Steps to Healthy Living' series and in Step 2 is taking sugar - “The Sweet Deceiver” - to task.Since the 1970's, we have been constantly warned that we consume far too much sugar in our diets, but that hasn't stopped us yet. With its myriad of uses and addictive qualities, which are pushed on consumers by the food industry, it is no surprise that over 100 health conditions are directly related to the consumption of sugar. Looking at the harmful impacts of sugar on physical and mental health, exploring its history, the process of its refinement, and its ubiquity in modern diets, Michelle leaves no stone unturned in her quest to help you cut down on sugar and live a more healthy life.ABOUT THE HOSTMichelle has been a believer for over 37 years, involved in full-time Christian ministry for 35 years in six countries on three continents, and is a master of transition and cross-cultural expert.
