In this episode, Dr. Tony Ebel makes the case that one of the most powerful things you can do for your child's immune system is also the simplest — and the most overlooked. Drawing on his upbringing on a cattle and grain farm in northwest Iowa, Dr. Tony connects real-life farm stories to cutting-edge neuroimmunology to show why getting outside, playing in the dirt, and embracing exposure is foundational to raising healthy, resilient kids. He breaks down the hygiene hypothesis, shares findings from a groundbreaking Finland daycare study, and explains why fear of germs may be doing more damage than the germs themselves. Whether you live on a farm or in a suburb, this episode will change the way you think about your family's everyday environment.-----Links & Resources:The Resilient Family Summit: Raising Healthy Kids in a Crazy Stressful Worldhttps://www.thepxdocs.com/offers/Crje8Pri-----Key Topics & Timestamps00:02 How Over-Medicalization Created the Sickest Generation Ever 00:07 Farm Life & Why His Family Almost Never Went to the Doctor 00:11 His Dad's Broken Finger and What It Taught Him About Immune Resilience 00:14 Why Chronic Fear and Worry May Be the Worst Health Threat of All 00:16 What Kids Actually Get from Being Outside: Sun, Sweat, Air & Vitamin D 00:25 Kids Spend Less Time Outside Than Prison Inmates — Here's Why It Matters 00:28 The Perfect Storm: Raising the Cleanest — and Sickest — Generation Ever 00:33 The Finland Rewilding Study: What 43 Daycares Proved in 2–4 Weeks 00:40 The Most Advanced Intervention Is the One We Left Behind 75 Years Ago-- Follow us on Socials: Instagram: @pxdocsFacebook: Dr. Tony Ebel & The PX Docs NetworkYoutube: The PX DocsFor more information, visit PXDocs.com to read informative articles about the power of Neurologically-Focused Chiropractic Care.Find a PX Doc Office near me: PX DOCS DirectoryTo watch Dr. Tony's 30 min Perfect Storm Webinar: Click Here

What happens when a world-famous chef starts questioning the food system, modern wellness culture, and the way we've been taught to think about health? In this rerun episode of BS Free MD, Drs. May and Tim Hindmarsh sit down with Australian chef, author, and wellness advocate Pete Evans for a conversation that goes far beyond recipes and nutrition trends. Pete shares how his journey from professional surfer to celebrity chef eventually led him toward a deeper exploration of healing, intentional living, and the emotional connection people have with food. The discussion dives into the power of real, minimally processed ingredients, the importance of reconnecting with cooking at home, and why food may play a larger role in overall wellness than many people realize. Pete also reflects on the cultural and spiritual side of eating — from slowing down and sharing meals to questioning the systems that shape modern health advice. This episode is less about rigid diet rules and more about curiosity, awareness, and reclaiming a healthier relationship with what we put into our bodies. In This Episode Pete Evans' evolution from celebrity chef to wellness advocate Why real food and cooking at home matter more than ever The connection between food, community, and emotional well-being How modern lifestyles may be disconnecting people from health The role of intentional living and mindful eating Why questioning mainstream narratives became part of Pete's journey Thoughts on healing, simplicity, and returning to foundational habits About Pete Evans Pete Evans is an Australian chef, restaurateur, cookbook author, and television personality known for his focus on whole foods, wellness, and lifestyle-centered health approaches. Over the years, he has become a prominent voice in conversations around nutrition, cooking, and alternative health philosophies. He is also associated with the documentary The Magic Pill, which explored dietary approaches to chronic disease and metabolic health. Welcome to BS Free MD — the podcast where medicine, freedom, family, culture, and curiosity collide. From wellness and medical freedom to culture, science, parenting, and current events, the show explores topics many people are thinking about — but few are willing to openly discuss. With a mix of humor, honesty, skepticism, and humanity, May and Tim bring on physicians, scientists, authors, advocates, and thought leaders for conversations designed to help listeners think critically, ask better questions, and live more intentionally. Whether you agree, disagree, or land somewhere in the middle, BS Free MD invites listeners into thoughtful dialogue without the corporate filter. Listen & Follow BS Free MD
Keep winning! Two-time Emmy and Three-time NAACP Image Award-winning, television Executive Producer Rushion McDonald interviewed Robin Wilson. Topic: Clean Design, wellness, asthma and allergy–aware livingFeatured Work: Clean Design: Wellness for Your Lifestyle Robin Wilson, a clean design lifestyle expert and founder of the Clean Design Home brand, joins Rushion McDonald to discuss how everyday household choices directly impact health—particularly for people living with asthma, allergies, and chronic inflammation. Drawing from her personal experiences as a lifelong allergy and asthma sufferer, Wilson explains how creating an allergen-aware home can dramatically improve quality of life. Purpose of the Interview The primary purpose of the interview is to: Educate listeners about how indoor environments contribute to asthma, allergies, and chronic health issues Promote Robin Wilson’s Clean Design philosophy and book, which provides room-by-room guidance for creating healthier homes Raise awareness that simple, practical lifestyle changes—not expensive renovations—can significantly improve wellness Normalize conversations around asthma, allergies, and environmental triggers as serious, manageable health conditions Rushion also uses the platform to share his own deeply personal experiences with allergic reactions, reinforcing the life-changing importance of Wilson’s message.. Key Takeaways 1. Your Home Should Be a Breathing Sanctuary Wilson emphasizes that many people focus on outdoor allergens while overlooking indoor exposure. Shoes, coats, pillows, furniture, and bedding often trap pollen, bacteria, and toxins that worsen symptoms once brought indoors.. 2. Pillows and Bedding Are Major Health Triggers One of the most memorable segments centers on pillows: Many people keep pillows for six years or more Old pillows accumulate dander, pollen, drool, bacteria, and allergens A pillow that stays folded is a sign it needs to be replaced Wilson introduces her “rule of threes”: Wash pillowcases every three weeks Wash pillow protectors every three months Replace pillows every three years Rushion shares that replacing a problematic pillow helped eliminate a chronic cough that seriously affected his life.. 3. “Allergen-Aware” Is More Honest Than “Hypoallergenic” Wilson avoids the term hypoallergenic because allergies vary from person to person. Instead, she advocates for ingredient transparency, empowering consumers to decide what is safe for their bodies and homes.. 4. Small Habits Create Big Health Outcomes Key daily practices include: Removing shoes immediately upon entering the home Washing hands before eating Changing clothes after being outdoors Cleaning from the top down (ceiling fans, surfaces, floors) Protecting mattresses and pillows with zippered covers Wilson stresses that consistency—not perfection—is what reduces exposure over time.. 5. Asthma Is a Serious Chronic Condition Wilson compares asthma management to diabetes care: It requires ongoing lifestyle adjustments Ignoring triggers increases the risk of severe attacks Clean environments reduce flare-ups and emergency situations She explains that nighttime asthma and allergy attacks often occur when cortisol levels drop during sleep, allowing reactions to surface.. 6. The Book Is a Practical, Room-by-Room Guide Clean Design: Wellness for Your Lifestyle is designed as a reference guide, not a cover-to-cover read. It addresses: Entryways and living rooms Bedrooms and nurseries Kitchens and bathrooms Home offices, basements, garages, and outdoor spaces Wilson also includes low-toxicity cleaning tips inspired by her grandmother, such as using baking soda, toothpaste, and even Coca-Cola instead of harsh chemicals.. Notable Quotes “One in five people suffer from asthma or allergies… and the home should be a sanctuary for easy breathing.”. “Break up with your pillow.”. “You might be allergic outside—and then come inside and double your allergen load.”.t “Asthma is like diabetes. If you manage the triggers, you reduce the risk of a serious episode.”. “It’s all about effort and consistency.”. #SHMS #BEST #STRAWSteve Harvey Morning Show Online: http://www.steveharveyfm.com/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The live phone-in programme “Hello Doctor” by the Diabetes Care Foundation of India featured Dr. Sunil Gupta and Kavita Gupta, who shared valuable insights on diabetes, common myths, healthy nutrition. and proper treatment. Dr. Sunil Gupta explained that self-medication or following advice from neighbours and relatives can be dangerous, as every diabetes patient requires personalized treatment based on age, weight, blood pressure, heart, kidney and liver health, family history, and his own lifestyle. He further highlighted the dangers of alcohol, which can damage the pancreas and lead to secondary diabetes, sometimes requiring lifelong insulin. Kavita Gupta clarified that “sugar-free” does not mean “calorie-free.” Such foods may still contain fat or artificial sweeteners and can increase blood sugar and weight if consumed excessively. She advised limiting sweets and avoiding energy drinks and sugary beverages, especially for children. The experts recommended healthier options like buttermilk, coconut water, lemon water, and mango panna. They also emphasized eating three main meals and three small snacks to avoid weakness caused by long gaps between meals. On today's Good Day Health Show - ON DEMAND…Host Doug Stephan and Dr. Ken Kronhaus of Lake Cardiology (352-735-1400) cover a number of topics affecting our health. First up, Doug and Dr. Ken begin with what yoga can do for your heart. Yoga improves heart health by lowering blood pressure, reducing stress, decreasing heart rate, and improving cholesterol levels, often as effectively as conventional exercise. Regular practice, including poses like Downward Dog and Tadasana (Mountain Pose), boosts circulation, reduces inflammation, and strengthens the cardiovascular system.Moving on to weight loss drugs, the weight-loss drug market is shifting toward oral, daily pills like Foundayo (orforglipron) and an oral version of Wegovy (semaglutide), following FDA approval in late 2025/early 2026. These new pills, which mimic GLP-1 hormones to curb appetite, saw over 170,000 prescriptions within three weeks of launch. Increased demand has led to a potential price war between major manufacturers Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly, as well as a rise in state Medicaid coverage. Weight loss drugs like Wegovy and Ozempic (semaglutide) are showing significant health benefits beyond shedding pounds, including a 20% reduction in heart attacks and strokes, improved kidney health, and potential addiction reduction. These drugs, known as GLP-1 receptor agonists, act on the brain to reduce cravings and reduce inflammation.Next up, Doug and Dr. Ken address Lipoprotein(a), commonly referred to as ”L-P-little-A” and abbreviated as Lp(a), is a type of genetically inherited cholesterol particle that carries fat and cholesterol through the blood. High levels of Lp(a) significantly increase the risk of heart attack, stroke, and aortic valve disease because the particles promote plaque buildup, inflammation, and blood clots in arteries Getting your Lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] checked via blood test is crucial because it measures a highly genetic, "sticky" form of LDL cholesterol that standard lipid panels miss. High Lp(a) significantly increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, and aortic valve stenosis, making it a critical, independent factor in assessing your overall cardiovascular health. In other news, research and studies on the effects of soccer in youth and why certain precautions need to be addressed. New reviews and studies in 2025 and 2026 indicate that frequent soccer heading is linked to measurable, long-term declines in brain structure and cognitive function, reinforcing the need for stricter rules to protect players from subconcussive injuries. Research has highlighted that repetitive, low-level impacts—not just overt concussions—damage white matter and that rule changes curbing headers are highly effective, prompting calls for broader implementation.Shifting focus, research shows adults experiencing weekly nightmares have up to a threefold higher risk of premature death (before age 70–75) and show signs of faster biological aging. This increased mortality is linked to chronic stress and accelerated cellular aging, potentially acting as a stronger risk factor than smoking or obesity. These nightmare events have your brain believing it's real and triggering real stress responses in your body. A rare nightmare won't effect health, but constant nightmares are something to be addressed. For more on Good Day Health…Website: GoodDayHealthShow.comSocial Media: @GoodDayNetworks

In this deeply honest and empowering episode of The DNA Talks Podcast, Dr. Tracey Steady-Hardcastle sits down with Dr. Lisa Olszewski, chiropractor, naturopath, founder of the American Institute of Healthy Living, and host of Healthy Living Simple with Dr. Lisa.Dr. Lisa shares her personal health crisis—despite “doing everything right”—and how it reshaped her approach to nutrition, women's hormones, ketogenic diets, intermittent fasting, and true wellness. This conversation explores why one-size-fits-all health advice fails, how women's bodies differ biologically from men's, and why listening to your body and your genetics matters more than following trends. If you've ever wondered why keto, fasting, or intense exercise worked for everyone else but left you exhausted, stuck, or unwell - this episode is for you. Here are the highlights of this episode:Why women cannot follow keto or fasting protocols the same way men doHow prolonged ketosis and extreme fasting can impair thyroid, adrenal, and reproductive healthWhat strategic carb cycling looks like for cycling vs. postmenopausal womenCommon intermittent fasting mistakes that stall progress or worsen symptomsHow chiropractic care impacts hormones, metabolism, and digestionWhy symptoms are warning signals—not problems to suppressHow to simplify healthy living without perfection or burnoutIf you wish to learn more from Dr. Lisa Olszewski, you may do so through the following channels:Podcast: Healthy Living Simple with Dr. Lisa O Website: https://healthylivingsimple.com/pages/dr-lisa-o______________________________________________________Keep yourself up to date on The DNA Talks Podcast! Where do you do your best thinking? It's probably not where you spend most of your time working. In fact, the environment you choose can quietly influence how clearly you think, how creative you are, and how well you perform. There's a simple shift that can make a noticeable difference. Source: Edward Hallowell author of Driven to Distraction (https://amzn.to/3PQgv1u). Rituals are everywhere—handshakes, morning routines, lucky habits, traditions we repeat without thinking. Even people who don't consider themselves “ritualistic” rely on them every day. But why? Michael Norton, professor at Harvard Business School and author of The Ritual Effect (https://amzn.to/3U65Zpn), explains that rituals do far more than add structure—they can reduce anxiety, strengthen relationships, and give meaning to everyday experiences. He explores why humans are drawn to rituals and how they can be used intentionally to improve your life. Health advice can feel overwhelming—contradictory studies, complicated plans, and endless “must-do” lists. But what if getting healthier didn't have to be so complicated? Jacob Sager Weinstein, writer for The New Yorker, HBO, and the BBC, and author of Be Healthier Now: 100 Simple Ways to Become Instantly Healthier (https://amzn.to/4cZedXV), cuts through the noise with practical, science-backed ideas that are simple to implement and surprisingly effective—no jargon, no extreme routines, just small changes that can make a real difference. Revenge is often described as “sweet.” And just imagining getting even with someone can feel surprisingly satisfying. But what is it about revenge that makes it feel so good—even before anything actually happens? https://theconversation.com/revenge-isnt-always-sweet-but-it-can-be-beautiful-73653 PLEASE SUPPORT OUR SPONSORS DUTCH: If your pet is still scratching and you've tried everything at the pet store –it's time to stop guessing and go prescription.Support us and use code SYSK for $40 off your membership at https://Dutch.com RULA: Thousands of people are already using Rula to get affordable, high-quality therapy that's actually covered by insurance. We often measure productivity by output, deadlines, and achievements. But could one of the most powerful indicators of human performance be something we rarely discuss in leadership conversations, our fertility and overall biological health? In this episode of Productivity Smarts, host Gerald J. Leonard sits down with Dr. Marina, an experienced OBGYN and educator with more than 30 years of experience in women's health and reproductive medicine. Drawing from insights in her upcoming book, Optimize Your Fertility Naturally, they explore the surprising connection between fertility, overall health, and long-term productivity. Dr. Marina explains why fertility should be viewed as a vital sign of overall health, much like blood pressure or heart rate. When the body is functioning optimally, reproductive health reflects that balance. But when lifestyle factors such as poor sleep, chronic stress, unhealthy diets, and environmental toxins accumulate, they can disrupt the body's natural systems and reduce both fertility and overall well-being. Throughout the conversation, Dr. Marina highlights how modern lifestyles often prioritize quick pharmaceutical solutions instead of addressing the underlying biological foundations of health. She emphasizes that sustainable productivity begins with the basics: quality sleep, nutrient-dense food, physical activity, stress management, and reducing exposure to harmful chemicals in everyday products. The discussion also explores the hidden role environmental toxins and endocrine-disrupting chemicals play in modern health challenges, including declining fertility, obesity, and chronic fatigue.
