Noah Schochet is the co-founder and CEO of TerraFirma, a construction technology company rethinking how infrastructure gets built. Founded by two former SpaceX engineers, TerraFirma combines robotics, remote operations, and software into a construction business that performs projects directly rather than selling technology. By vertically integrating its tools with field operations, the company aims to make construction dramatically faster, safer, and more affordable while addressing labor shortages and enabling the next generation of infrastructure. In this episode, Noah shares how his experience building Starship at SpaceX inspired TerraFirma, why he believes construction—not autonomy—is the real bottleneck to civilization-scale progress, and why robotics companies should focus more on delivering outcomes instead of products. He also explains TerraFirma's remote-operated construction model, its approach to rapid iteration, and why the future of construction still depends on people empowered by better technology. HEALTH NEWS Berberine Shows Beneficial Effects on Metabolic Health, Study Reports Cooperation beats selfishness more often than scientists thought Sleep Disorders Don't Just Exhaust You. New Research Shows They Change Your Brain Two Hours of Strength Training Weekly Linked to Lower Heart Attack Risk in Women, Study Finds Planetary Health Diet lowers cardiovascular risk in older women Berberine Shows Beneficial Effects on Metabolic Health, Study Reports Peking Union Medical College (China), July 24 2026 (Natural News) A review published in the journal Molecules has summarized evidence indicating that berberine, a compound found in several plants, may influence glucose and lipid metabolism. According to the review, berberine has been associated with improvements in metabolic health markers across multiple studies. The compound is a yellow alkaloid extracted from plants such as European barberry, goldenseal, goldthread, Oregon grape, and tree turmeric. The review cited evidence that berberine may reduce blood glucose levels and improve insulin sensitivity, according to clinical trials. A systematic review of seven randomized clinical trials from China published in Nutrients revealed that berberine consistently alters the composition of gut bacteria in patients taking the supplement, and the analysis examined data across conditions including Type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, and colorectal adenoma. Lipid panel improvements, including lower total cholesterol and triglycerides, were also reported in the reviewed studies. Cooperation beats selfishness more often than scientists thought Hebrew University of Jerusalem & Rutgers University, July 20 2026 (Eureaklert) For decades, one of the most influential ideas in evolutionary biology has suggested that when individuals act purely in their own self-interest, cooperation should eventually collapse. But a new study by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Rutgers University demonstrates that evolution may be far more optimistic than previously believed. Their findings reveal that cooperation does not require close family ties, reputation, repeated favors, or rigid social structures. Instead, cooperation can flourish simply because individuals respond differently to different opponents. The research proposes a new solution to one of biology's oldest puzzles: how cooperation survives in a world shaped by natural selection. Using mathematical models, evolutionary simulations, and populations of artificial intelligence agents, the researchers found that cooperation consistently evolved when individuals adjusted their willingness to cooperate according to whom they encountered. Rather than treating everyone identically, simple opponent-specific responses created stable communities in which cooperative behavior repeatedly outperformed purely selfish strategies. Perhaps the study's most surprising finding is that cooperative societies are not fragile exceptions. Across thousands of simulations, populations repeatedly evolved toward highly cooperative states, while purely selfish populations often failed to dominate. Even when mutations introduced new defectors, cooperative communities remained remarkably resilient. Sleep Disorders Don't Just Exhaust You. New Research Shows They Change Your Brain Florida International University, July 26, 2026 (SciTech Daily) A poor night's sleep can affect far more than energy the next day. Research from Florida International University links sleep disorders with structural differences in brain regions that help control attention, motivation and decision-making. Published in the journal Scientific Reports, the findings provide one of the broadest comparisons yet of how different sleep disorders are associated with the brain. The researchers compared two broad categories. Dyssomnias, such as insomnia and sleep apnea, interfere with falling asleep or remaining asleep. Parasomnias, including sleepwalking, nightmare disorder and sleep terrors, involve unusual events that disrupt the sleep cycle. Both categories were associated with decreases in the thalamus, a region that filters incoming information, supports concentration, and contributes to higher-level thinking. The researchers identified changes specifically in the pulvinar, an area within the thalamus that directs attention and helps manage cognitive control. These differences were connected with wider brain networks that support concentration and task performance. That pattern may help explain why disrupted sleep is associated with slower reactions, poorer decision-making and a greater likelihood of errors and accidents. Two Hours of Strength Training Weekly Linked to Lower Heart Attack Risk in Women, Study Finds Harvard School of Public Health, July 26 2026 (Natural News) A large-scale study published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology has found that women who engage in regular strength training have a significantly lower risk of developing cardiovascular disease. The study examined data from 117,025 women over an average follow-up period of 14.5 years. Women who performed any amount of resistance training had a lower risk of cardiovascular events compared with those who did none. The association persisted after adjusting for overall lifestyle and health factors, the study stated. Among the study's specific findings, women who performed at least two hours of resistance training per week had a 44% lower risk of heart attack relative to women who did no resistance training, the report said. Any cardiovascular disease risk was 20% lower for that group, with an additional 5% reduction per extra hour of weekly resistance training, according to the study. The benefits of strength training were more pronounced among women who maintained resistance training consistently and trained both upper and lower body, according to the study. Adding strength training to regular aerobic exercise – such as walking or running – was linked to better heart health. Planetary Health Diet lowers cardiovascular risk in older women University of Caliornia at Irvine, July 25 2026 (News-Medical) A 20-year study of more than 65,000 postmenopausal women found that higher adherence to the Planetary Health Diet was associated with a lower risk of overall cardiovascular disease, coronary heart disease, stroke and heart failure. The findings showed that women whose diet most closely followed the Planetary Health Diet had about a 28% lower risk of cardiovascular disease compared with women in the group scoring the lowest for adherence. However, even moderate adherence to the diet was linked with lower risk. The Planetary Health Diet emphasizes foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts and unsaturated fats while limiting foods such as red and processed meats, added sugars, refined grains and saturated fats. The investigators followed 66,892 participants in the Women's Health Initiative (WHI). Overall, the results showed that women in the group whose diets were more closely aligned with the Planetary Health Diet had the lowest risk of cardiovascular disease. These women also showed a decreased risk of heart disease, heart failure and stroke risk compared to the women in the lowest-adherence group. However, even moderate adherence to the diet was associated with a decrease in risk, with each 10-point increase in Planetary Health Diet Index score linked to further risk reduction.
Hey, Heal Squad! It's a reminder that healing doesn't always come from one big life-changing moment, sometimes it's the small, intentional choices we make every single day that create the biggest transformation. However you spend the rest of your summer, don't forget to make time for yourself, you deserve it! Hey Heal Squad! Today's conversation is SO important… especially as we are in the middle of summer! Friends… did you know that drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1 to 4? Wild, right? We protect our children with the safest car seats, seat belts, and vehicles available, yet when it comes to water, many families don't have the same layers of protection. So this summer, let's make our backyards safer. And save some lives while we're at it.Today we are joined by Pamela Baldwin, a swim instructor with over 25 years of experience and the founder of FINtastic Swim School. Maria has been taking swim and water safety intensives with her recently, and it sparked one of the most eye-opening experiences of her life. In this episode, Pam breaks down everything we think we know about water safety and where we're getting it wrong. We talk about what drowning actually looks like (nothing like the movies), why your pool fence isn't enough on its own, the safety equipment every pool owner needs within arm's reach, and the one thing you bring to the pool every single time that you trust completely… that could actually make things worse. We also do a full myth-or-fact on swim safety, and we talk about the profound Drowning in Silence….the documentary we are asking every single one of you to watch. It is hard. It is beautiful. It will change you. And if this episode sparks any safety action in you, be sure to shop Pam's W.A.T.E.R. Ambassador Essentials. These are the tools and resources every family should have to protect the people they love most around any body of water. Because let's be real… water safety starts with a conversation. So start the conversation today and help create a safer tomorrow.#StartTheConversationToday #IAmWaterAware #WaterSafety #DrowningPrevention #WATERAmbassador HEALERS & HEAL LINERS 4 Water Safety Tips To Protect Your Family: Recognize what drowning actually looks like, it's silent, not splashing; Identify what's keeping your child safe versus what's giving you false security; Equip your pool with the right safety tools; Learn CPR and build a family emergency action plan before you need one Drowning doesn't make a sound. In real life drowning is fast, it is silent, and it almost always happens with someone nearby, 88% of the time, in fact. The single most powerful thing you can do is understand what it actually looks like. Telling one person what you learned today is an act of love. Water safety starts with awareness, but it doesn't end there. Every conversation, every added layer of protection, and every swim lesson makes a difference. Hey, Heal Squad! Today, we're talking about all things gut health, and honestly, this conversation answered so many questions we've all asked at one point or another. Like, I'm doing all the "right" things... but why do I still feel exhausted, bloated, inflamed, and not feeling like myself. Yeah, if you've been wondering, "What am I missing?" this episode is for you. Maria sat down with naturopathic physician and gut health expert Dr. Emily Hernandez to unpack one of the biggest hidden obstacles that could be standing in the way of feeling your best: biofilm overgrowth. Think of biofilms as a sticky protective shield that unwanted bacteria create in your gut, making it harder to heal it despite your healthiest efforts. Dr. Emily explains how your gut impacts so much more than digestion. We're talking about your energy, mood, skin, hormones, and overall well-being.You'll also learn the warning signs your gut may be trying to get your attention, why detoxification matters, and how stress and environmental toxins can quietly make it harder for your body to heal. Plus, Maria shares one of her longtime wellness staples:Biocidin Botanicals. These are products she personally keeps on hand whenever she's having those pesky “tummy problems” or if she ever needs some immunity support (there's a throat spray she just can't live without!). Together, they dive into the science behind the products, how they support the gut and microbiome, and where to start to get you on the right track to help disrupt biofilm overgrowth. And yes, we've got a special Heal Squad discount waiting for you below! We hope you enjoy this one! HEALERS & HEAL LINERS Your gut is connected to more than digestion. When your microbiome is out of balance, it can impact your hormones, energy, mood, skin, and even the symptoms you might be blaming on aging or perimenopause. Doing everything "right" doesn't always mean you're addressing the root cause. Dr. Emily explains how hidden biofilm overgrowth may be one of the biggest reasons women feel stuck despite eating well, exercising, and taking supplements. Healing isn't about taking more supplements, it's about taking the right approach. Learn how to think about gut health, detoxification, and building a foundational wellness routine without feeling overwhelmed. Contributor; Taylor Lynch, MD Educational Pearls: Thoracotomy Thoracotomy is used in traumatic cardiac arrest to replace conventional CPR with direct access to the chest. Goals include identifying and controlling reversible causes of bleeding, prioritizing blood flow to the heart and brain, and performing open cardiac massage. Trauma categories Penetrating trauma: Gunshot wounds and stab wounds. Has a higher chance of survival because the injury may be localized and directly repairable. Cardiac stab wounds may have the highest survivability because the defect can be visualized, repaired, and treated with blood administration. Blunt trauma: Motor vehicle collisions and falls from height. Has a much lower chance of survival. Western guidelines EMS must witness the patient lose pulses. Penetrating trauma: CPR for less than 15 minutes. Blunt trauma: CPR for less than 10 minutes. Survival decreases to essentially zero beyond these time limits. Eastern guidelines Focus on the presence of signs of life in blunt or penetrating trauma. Signs of life may include: Pupillary response. Measurable blood pressure. Purposeful movement. Patient selection Thoracotomy should only be performed when the patient has a reasonable chance of survival. It is a highly morbid procedure with significant occupational risks, including needlestick injury. Appropriate patient selection and timing are essential. Procedure Begin on the left side of the chest. Cross-clamp the aorta to restrict blood flow below the heart and prioritize circulation to the heart and brain. Identify and repair visible sources of bleeding involving structures such as the heart or lungs. Perform open cardiac massage as the equivalent of CPR. ACLS medications may still be administered. Charles Spicer describes how, following the May 1940 retreat at Dunkirk, Winston Churchill became Prime Minister, finally acting on the intelligence Christie had provided for years. The polemic Guilty Men was published, simplifying the blame for the war onto appeasers like Chamberlain and Baldwin. Meanwhile, Lord Lothian, serving as ambassador to the US, successfully mobilized the "arsenal of democracy" by persuading Roosevelt and the American public to support Britain. The segment also notes the Rudolf Hess mystery, as the deputy Führer flew to Scotland in 1941, mistakenly believing his Fellowship connections could facilitate a peace treaty with the British elite. (14)1939
Charles Spicer concludes that after the war, Christie and Conwell-Evans published a limited-run book, None So Blind, detailing their ignored warnings to the government. Though Martin Gilbert later attempted to correct the record, these amateur spies largely slipped from historical memory. Tennant died in 1962, his contributions unacknowledged. Conwell-Evans lived modestly until 1968, having advised five Prime Ministers. Grahame Christie, a heroic and modest figure, committed suicide in 1971 at age 91. Their story remains a testament to the "blindness" of official diplomacy and the bravery of those who tried to "civilize" the Nazis to avert global catastrophe. (16)1943
Happy Sunday! Welcome to Heal Squad's The Sunday Set Up. Life lessons to help you start the week. This week, we talk about the labels we place on ourselves, and the ones the world places on us. Do they help us better understand who we are... or do they quietly become excuses that keep us from becoming who we're capable of being? We talk about why it's so easy to embrace an identity, whether it's a diagnosis, a setback, or a story we've been telling ourselves for years, and how those labels can sometimes become prisons instead of pathways. We talk about the power of choosing how we respond rather than allowing a label to define what's possible. From living with a lifelong medical condition without letting it become an excuse, to discovering how years of emotional weight can literally show up in the body. Plus, a Sunday Set Up bonus! We talk about Star Trek, the return of swashbuckling, Greek islands, miracle churches, novelty ice cream, jazz brunches, the healing power of a good car scream, and the need to rebrand VictimCon. This week, ask yourself: What labels have I accepted about myself? Are they helping me grow... or are they quietly convincing me that I can't? Because your circumstances may shape your story, but they never have to write the ending. Have a great week! We'll talk Shawtly. We uncover surprising stories behind Good Humor, Mister Softee, Hood, and the entrepreneurs who built an iconic industry on wheels, along with fascinating stats, hidden history, and the business lessons behind one of America's greatest neighborhood traditions. As always on Pot Luck Saturday, we wander wherever curiosity takes us, from pool safety and parenting, back to school back when, and why Gen X is the bridge generation, getting the last novelty ice creams from the truck so to speak. Civilization is starving for macro-innovation. For our species to pass Fermi's great filter in the next few centuries, we need more of the kinds of scientific breakthroughs that occurred in the 20th century. Happy International Lonely Guy Friday! Live from Greece, with questionable internet, background noise, a Greek-speaking Athena, and Zorba taking entirely too long to kick in. Today we get into how European culture prioritizes living while American culture prioritizes working, and why accepting who you are may matter more. We talk about how DJs, Greek music, Springsteen, and even repetitive algorithms can place us into emotional and almost hypnotic states. We also get into how a conversation with a privileged 25-year-old critic of America became a lesson in capitalism, gratitude, fathers, responsibility, and remembering who still pays half the bills. Plus, how America may be deeply flawed while also possessing traditions of generosity, charity, humane treatment, tipping, and helping strangers that travelers often witness firsthand. Kev also discusses how empathy for younger generations does not require endorsing entitlement, hatred or burning down systems and how parents may finally be learning to limit screens and more. Also, understanding a difficult father does not require accepting abuse, but may require admitting that imperfect parents were often loving as well as they knew how. Kev talks about how Sylvester Stallone continues living the Rocky story, turning obstacles, rejection, and lost ownership into yet another achievement at nearly 80 and how the barriers blocking your path may ultimately create the story only you could tell. Then, how cognitive decline affects entire families, with love and prayers for Bob Backlund. Plus, the ultimate RGF houseguest rule: when visiting someone's home how to make them cry when you leave, not celebrate your departure.Yasu, efcharistó, Bye Betches! We are kicking off a new series on autism, ADHD, OCD, and neurodivergence, and why this conversation matters so much right now. In this episode we introduce a three part approach we keep coming back to: nutrition, environment, and soul, and we talk about why going to war on behavior almost never works, because behavior is communication. We touch on PDA (pathological demand avoidance), low demand parenting, and why creating safety often does more healing than any chart, sticker, or therapy technique ever could. Hey, Heal Squad! We definitely wanted to keep the momentum going after Dhar Mann talked about burnout and living your authentic self, so today we are throwing it back to our conversation with Greg McKeown, New York Times Bestselling author for our throwback Thursday episode. Greg McKeown, New York Times Bestselling author of Essentialism & Effortless: Make It Easier to Do What Matters Most teaches us how overthinking leads to clutter and less mental energy, and emphasizes that we must declutter our brains. We discuss burnout and how there are only two types of people in the world right now, those who are burnt out and those who acknowledge they are burnt out. Greg gives us tools on how to spot burnout and teaches us that past a certain point, working harder leads to negative results...it's not worth the burnout. We learned that through journaling, making our chores fun and giving them purpose, being more present and CHOOSING to take the lighter vs the heavier path we can all start to live a more effortless life. Greg teaches us that instead of saying “how can I work harder to get better results?” say “how can I achieve better results by making it more effortless?” We also discuss the power of having the ‘courage to be rubbish' or not being held down by perfectionism, which is crucial to living more effortlessly. We hope this conversation inspires you! North East Correspondent, Laura Hogan as the scoping exercise into the convicted abuser Michael Shine is set to be published.
This conversation is about how the demands on data centers are changing and what that means for the systems that support them. As AI and high performance computing continue to scale, cooling is no longer a background function. It is central to whether these environments operate efficiently and reliably. Liquid cooling is becoming more common because it can handle the heat loads that air cooling cannot. But as systems move in that direction, the margin for error becomes much smaller. These are precision environments. Everything has to work as expected, and small issues can have larger consequences than people anticipate. Valves are a good example of something that is often overlooked but plays a critical role. They control flow, manage pressure, and help protect the integrity of the system. If they are not selected correctly, they can introduce problems that are difficult to detect early but show up later as inefficiencies or risk. One of the biggest points Eddie will make is that these systems depend on exact specifications. Engineers are not looking for something that is close. They need a valve that matches the system requirements exactly, whether that is flow performance, pressure characteristics, materials, connections, or physical dimensions. If something does not match, it can create integration issues, reduce efficiency, or delay the project. At the same time, the pace of data center construction is accelerating. Projects are moving quickly, and delays are not easily absorbed. That means availability and lead time are part of the technical decision, not just an operational detail. If the right solution is not available when it is needed, it creates risk for the entire build. This creates a real challenge for engineers, buyers, and OEMs. They need highly specific solutions, but they also need them delivered quickly and consistently. It is not enough to have a product that performs. The supplier has to be able to meet the spec, support the application, and deliver on time. Another important part of the conversation is how performance is evaluated. Published specifications do not always reflect real operating conditions. Systems do not run at a single point. They run across a range of flows and conditions. That is where the idea of usable Cv becomes important. It reflects how the valve actually performs in the system, not just how it performs in an ideal scenario. There is also growing awareness around hidden inefficiencies. Pressure drop, turbulence, and potential leak paths can all impact system performance. In high-density environments, these factors can reduce cooling effectiveness, increase energy usage, and introduce long-term reliability concerns. What this all points to is a shift in how components are selected. Valve selection is not a secondary decision. It is part of the overall system strategy. Getting it right helps protect uptime, maintain efficiency, and keep projects on track. Getting it wrong can introduce risks that are difficult and expensive to correct later. The goal of the conversation is to give people a clearer understanding of what matters most as they design and support modern cooling systems. It is about making better decisions upfront so systems perform the way they are intended to over time.

Hey, Heal Squad! Today, Maria is back in the studio with a very special guest: Dhar Mann. If his name doesn't ring a bell... just ask your kids…lol. Chances are, they've seen one (or a hundred!) of his videos. Dhar is the founder of Dhar Mann Studios, where his videos reach hundreds of millions of people every week. He's also Forbes' #2 Creator and the host of a brand-new podcast called What Happens Next: The Dhar Mann Podcast. But what fascinated us most wasn't how he built an empire….it was the journey that built him. We talk about what it was like growing up feeling like he didn't belong, how hitting rock bottom at 30…broke, depressed, and just weeks away from eviction….became the turning point that changed his life, and why this one conversation he had with his young daughter has really changed the way he defines success. We also get into faith, purpose, learning to face your pain instead of running from it, and the role his wife Laura played in believing in him when he couldn't quite believe in himself. Whether you're feeling stuck, starting over, or just trying to figure out your next chapter, this conversation is such a beautiful reminder that your greatest setbacks don't have to define you, they might just be preparing you for what's next. HEALERS & HEAL LINERS The Conversation That Changed Everything: Dhar shares the heartfelt moment with his daughter that completely redefined how he measures success and what truly matters. A real faithful reader of this Warm Thoughts column sent some real gems of thought which I used in a recent column. It was like a Christmas or birthday present to receive them. Today is my birthday, and I decided I would share with you some more of the thoughts she sent me. Thank you for the birthday gift. And the Christmas gift too, as it is Christmas in the summer at the little home on the prairie.A good listener is not only popular everywhere, but after a while he knows something. Common sense is not so common. A gentle word like summer rain may soothe some heart and banish pain. What joy or sadness often springs from just the simple little things? Courage is resistance to fear mastery of fear, not absence of fear. Mark Twain. Form good habits. They are as hard to break as bad ones. Many men owe the grandeur of their lives to their tremendous difficulties. Spurgeon. The greater the obstacle, the more glory in overcoming it. Moliere. Not the cry, but the fight of the wild duck leads the flock to fly and follow. Chinese proverb. What we hope to do with ease, we must first do with diligence, Samuel Johnson. It isn't that they can't see the solution. It is that they can't see the problem. G.K. Chesterton. Responsibility educates. Wendell Phillips. If A equals success, then the formula is A equals x plus Y and Z, keeping your mouth shut. Albert Einstein. Anger does as much damage to the vessel in which it is stored as it does to anything upon which it is poured. No person, even the humblest sort, can be strong, gentle, pure, and good without the world being made better by the existence of that goodness. To be trusted is a greater compliment than to be loved. Do not keep the alabaster boxes of your love and tenderness sealed up until your friends are dead. Fill their lives with sweetness. Speak approving, cheering words, while their ears can hear them, and while their hearts can be thrilled and made happier by them. Good ideas need landing gear as well as wings. In the warmth of this summer, may you have many warm thoughts.Warm Thoughts from the Little Home on the Prairie Over a Cup of Tea Written by Dr. Luetta G Werner. Hello, and welcome to Entangled! The podcast where we explore the science of consciousness, the true nature of reality, and what it means to be a spiritual being having a human experience. I'm your host Jordan Youkilis, and today I'm joined by Anneke Lucas, author, speaker, survivor and advocate for child sex trafficking victims. In this conversation, Anneke describes how family members and associates trafficked her to Belgian pedophile networks in Anneke's early childhood in the 1960s and 70s. Next, Anneke describes the 1972 Bilderberg meeting, and how a billionaire there took interest in her, leading to a year of being trafficked by global elites. We then discuss Anneke's final year back in the Belgian trafficking network when she was age 10-11. Anneke explains the connection between the occult and materialism, and we consider the network's evolution from Biblical times to present day. Anneke describes the abuses of Josef Mengele, and how via Operation Paperclip he and other Nazi scientists continued their “MK” mind-control atrocities after WW II. From there, we discuss the cabal's use of attachment bonding to enslave victims. Anneke describes her pivotal relationships with two men in the final year of her trafficking: Patrick & Peter.Anneke then explains how she survived once she escaped the cult. We discuss the process of reintegrating suppressed memories. Anneke next explains Belgium's Dutroux Affair, and how the information disclosed in the Epstein files continues to shove the evidence of elite trafficking networks in our faces. She highlights how this is part of the thrill of psychopaths, who abide by Aleister Crowley's philosophy of, ‘Do as thou wilt'.We then discuss how real events are shown in works of fiction as a way to discredit survivors. Anneke describes how she came forward with her abuse starting in 2013, and how she got involved in working with prisoners. We discuss the rise in global consciousness since the time of Anneke's abuse, and how the public is no longer easily fooled. We conclude this episode discussing synchronicity, Christianity, and the wisdom religions.Outros available for this and all episodes at entangledpodcast.substack.com, with supporting exhibits and footnotes. Hey, Heal Squad! Today, Maria is getting a lil' personal and sharing one of the biggest realizations she's had yet on her healing journey (and it's something so many of us can probably relate to!). After years of therapy, books, podcasts, retreats, and interviewing some of the world's leading health and wellness experts, Maria realized that the hardest part to her healing isn't doing the work...it's remembering everything you've learned when life knocks you down again. Today she shares how that realization inspired her to create what she now calls “Your Guide Back to You.” A place to keep all the lessons and breakthroughs she never wants to forget. Maria explains how she's come to realize that healing isn't about constantly reinventing yourself. That sometimes it's about slowing down long enough to reconnect with the person you were before life, fear, and everyone else's expectations got in the way. It's about noticing the patterns you keep repeating, understanding your triggers, and finding your way back to yourself. Maria also gives us a first look at the philosophy behind her upcoming Your Guide Back to You retreat at Canyon Ranch (link below to join!). All in all, we hope this conversation inspires you to spend a little time reconnecting with yourself this week and remembering your own wisdom whenever life throws you off course. Enjoy! Happy Sunday! Welcome to Heal Squad's The Sunday Set Up. Life lessons to help you start the week. This week, we explore why the opinions of strangers (and even the people we work alongside) can have so much power over us. Why can one dismissive comment or difficult interaction stay with us all day while a dozen acts of kindness fade into the background? We talk about the psychology behind our need for acceptance, exploring how our ancient survival instincts may still convince us that rejection is something to fear, even when it isn't. We talk about why some people simply aren't meant to travel the same road as us, why trying to help the wrong people can quietly drain our energy, and how learning to focus on those who truly share our values can change everything. We talk about how so many of the disappointments that once felt devastating ultimately became the very moments that redirected us toward a better path. Sometimes rejection isn't failure, it's protection. For a little Sunday Set Up Bonus, we get into summer nostalgia, Fruit Stripe Gum, neighborhood ice cream trucks, Leon Day, and discount fireworks. This week, when someone else's attitude threatens your peace, ask yourself: Is this really about me... or am I carrying something that was never mine to begin with? And if one door closes, remember that some of life's greatest blessings begin with the word "no." Have a great week, Kweenz. We'll talk Shawtly. Hey Heal Squad! It's Friday and somehow, once again, we fooled them and made it through another week. This week, it's an RGF International Edition as Keven checks in from Greece, where a long flight becomes a conversation about travel, patience, kindness, and the little things that somehow drive us all crazy. We talk airplane etiquette, chatty seatmates, the people who refuse to close the window shade on a red-eye, and why the strangers testing our patience often end up reminding us to be a little more compassionate. We talk traveling lighter, lost luggage, disco parties in Greece, celebrity travel etiquette, and why sometimes the smartest travel strategy is to simply buy what you need when you get there. We talk Coke Light versus Diet Coke, Greek politics, Walmart fashion, barrel jeans, tomato sauce stains, and whether moving and grooving through life is better than trying to look perfect while doing it. Hey Heal Squad! After this week's powerful conversation with Dave Coulier about navigating two cancer diagnoses, we wanted to bring back this inspiring Throwback Thursday episode with Kristin Bostrom. After being diagnosed with breast cancer that later spread throughout her body, including more than 150 brain tumors, Kristin refused to let fear define her future. She shares the mindset shifts that helped her move from victimhood to hope, why she believes healing starts with the way we speak to ourselves, and the life-changing realization that transformed her relationship with her body. Maria and Kristin also dive into the connection between stress, self-love, and healing, the power of changing old thought patterns, and why becoming an active participant in your own healing journey can change everything. Whether you're navigating your own health challenge or supporting someone who is, this conversation is a powerful reminder that healing isn't just physical…it's emotional, mental, and deeply personal. Hey Heal Squad! Today we're back with Full House's Dave Coulier (yes, Joey Gladstone himself)and this time he's really opening up about what he thinks may have contributed to not one, but two different cancers. Somewhere in the middle of treatment, Dave found himself asking a question most of us never think to ask until it's too late: what have I been exposing my body to, every single day? That one question sent him down a rabbit hole…. reading ingredient labels, questioning everything under his own sink, rethinking what's actually on his plate, and realizing how genuinely overwhelming it is to figure out what "healthy" even means anymore. He breaks it down into a simple 3-step framework for vetting what you bring into your home, and honestly, you'll want to hear exactly what it is. Dave also gets into the surprising products he swapped out first after his diagnosis, and why he believes reducing your toxic load doesn't require perfection, just a few consistent, everyday swaps, which is exactly what led him to build AWEAR Market in the first place. And perhaps most powerfully, Dave gets candid about where he is today. Months after treatment ended, he opens up about the side effects he's still navigating from chronic throat pain and changes to his voice to the unexpected ways cancer continues to impact his body, his marriage, and everyday life. He also shares the incredible support that carried him through it all: his wife Melissa and the hockey community to the unforgettable day he learned he was cancer-free... the very same day his grandson was born.If you've ever wondered where to start on your own health journey, or what life after cancer really looks like, this is a conversation you won't want to miss. HEALERS & HEAL LINERS Healthy Living Doesn't Have to Be All-or-Nothing: Dave shares why he and his wife Melissa live by the 80/20 rule, explaining how consistency, not perfection, has helped him build healthier habits that are realistic, sustainable, and guilt-free. Your Home Could Be Impacting Your Health More Than You Think: After cancer, Dave began questioning everything—from toothpaste and deodorant to food dyes, plastics, clothing, and household products. He shares the simple ingredient "red flags" he now looks for and the everyday swaps that helped him feel more in control of his health. The Side Effects Nobody Warns You About: Months after finishing treatment, Dave reveals the lingering effects of cancer—from chronic pain and difficulty eating to changes in his voice and intimacy—and why recovery doesn't end when the treatments do. Hey Heal Squad! Today, we are so excited to welcome Full House star and comedian Dave Coulier to the podcast, and this is one of those conversations that will make you laugh, make you think, and maybe even change the way you look at your own health. Dave joins us to share an honest update on his health after being diagnosed with not one, but two completely different cancers in less than two years. He opens up about the emotional highs and lows of treatment, the side effects no one prepares you for, and why, through it all, he refused to let cancer take away his sense of humor. In fact, that outlook started long before his diagnosis with one of his closest friends, Bob Saget, whose dark humor helped teach Dave that sometimes laughter really is the best medicine. But this conversation goes far beyond cancer. Together, Maria and Dave get into why so many of us wait until a health crisis to start paying attention to our bodies and why Dave now believes prevention—not panic—is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves. Dave also shares how his diagnosis led him down a rabbit hole of questioning everything—from the food he was eating to the everyday products he was using. That journey eventually inspired AwearMarket, his new marketplace designed to take the guesswork out of finding healthier, less-toxic products for your home and family. One of the most surprising moments? Dave reveals that he had already started cleaning up his diet and reducing inflammation before his cancer diagnosis…which definitely helped his body fight the cancers. It's a powerful reminder that while we can't control everything, the healthy choices we make today are an investment in our future. Enjoy! HEALERS & HEAL LINERS Laughter Really Can Be Medicine: Throughout two cancer diagnoses, Dave made one promise to himself: cancer would never take away his sense of humor. He opens up about how finding moments of joy can be just as important as treating the disease. Small Daily Choices Add Up Over Time: After asking himself, "Why did my body fail me?" Dave began questioning everything—from the foods he ate to the products he used every day. He explains why he believes long-term health is shaped by small, consistent choices and how making gradual changes today can have a lasting impact on your future One Cancer Diagnosis Sparked an Entirely New Mission: That search for answers ultimately inspired AwearMarket, his new marketplace dedicated to helping people make healthier, less-toxic choices without feeling overwhelmed. Happy Sunday! Welcome to Heal Squad's The Sunday Set Up. Life lessons to help you start the week. This week, we explore one of the most dangerous traps our minds can fall into: the need to be right. Sparked by a heartbreaking real-life tragedy, Keven examines why being wrong can feel like a threat to our very identity, and why our brains are often wired to defend our beliefs rather than seek the truth. We dive into the psychology of cognitive dissonance, the “backfire effect,” and why our egos often mistake disagreement for danger. Along the way, we explore Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey and Carl Jung's teachings to uncover why real transformation requires letting go of old certainties—and why that can feel so terrifying. We also discuss how careers, businesses, marriages, and friendships can all quietly crumble when pride takes the driver's seat, and why humility isn't weakness—it's freedom. This week, before your next disagreement, ask yourself: Am I protecting my values… or my identity? Would I rather win the argument… or protect my peace? Because sometimes the greatest victory isn't proving you're right—it's having the wisdom to walk away. Have a beautiful week, Kweenz. We'll talk shawtly.
