In this episode of Keep Moving Forward I interview creators and hosts of the “How was your run today?” podcast, Peter Villa and Bryan Gould. Today I would like to thank all of my wonderful listeners for tuning in and staying with me for almost a full year! On this very exciting Wednesday, I invite you to celebrate the release of my 50th episode. To take part in this excitement with me, fellow podcasters and athletes, Peter Villa and Bryan Gould, are my featured guests. These two comedically inspiring individuals model their lives based upon the truth of their own advice: “you only regret the runs you don’t go on.” Understanding the pang of remorse you feel when you don’t pursue a daily goal is something I’m sure we can all relate to, and putting it into the context of something as relatable as a run makes it even more real. Spurned by a love of running, a love of talking, and a love of talking about running, Bryan and Peter launched the “How was your run today podcast” in 2015 and never turned back. Using their own running experiences as the basis for each episode, Peter and Bryan quickly expanded to featuring other runners on their show to broaden the scope in which they relate to their audience. The reach of their message and the real enjoyment they bring to their listeners grows every week, and I am honored to have had the chance to speak with them. About midway through this episode, my dog unfortunately begins barking and I had to leave my desk to put him up. My initial intention was to delete this portion of the show, however, while editing I discovered that Peter and Bryan just continued to talk while I was away, and it was too good not to leave in. So while I apologize for the yipping of my little dog, I hope that this episode’s added bonus of the banter of Peter and Bryan simply adds to your podcasting experience. So lace up and listen in to my interview with the goofy and incredibly motivating dynamic running duo of Bryan Gould and Peter Villa. Thank you guys for celebrating 50 weeks of continuing to move forward with me today. If you love running and are looking for some inspiration and comedic relief in your day, make sure you visit http://howwasyourruntoday.com/, subscribe to “How was your run today?” on iTunes, and follow Peter and Bryan on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram @HowWasYourRunToday. I promise you won’t regret it. If you guys enjoy Keep Moving Forward and want to tell me so, I would love for you to leave me a review on iTunes. And if you really like my show and would like for me to give you a shout out at the beginning of my next episode, you can donate as little as $1 to my podcast and become a loyal patron at https://www.patreon.com/keepmovingforward. Always remember, you can beat the odds and go the distance, if only you keep moving forward.
(See www.SoTHISIsFitness.com/podcast28 for extended show notes/blog) What's the big deal with Boston? The Boston Marathon holds a high level of regard among those in the running world, and rightly so. It's one of the more challenging, the oldest, and the most prestigious marathons you can hope to participate in. It is highly desired and notoriously difficult to get in to. You've either got to run another marathon VERY fast to qualify, or you've got to be accepted to a charity team and raise gobs of money. But how exactly does that even work? Peter Villa, of the "How Was Your Run Today?" podcast, joins us to talk about exactly that. Join us for a positively rousing discussion about: when last we saw each other at Millinocket why someone would want to run Boston at all qualifying for Boston how to become a part of a charity team how fundraising on a charity team works and more Links & Resources from this episode www.HowWasYourRunToday.com Peter's Boston Marathon fundraising page Spaulding Race for Rehab Official BAA Boston Marathon website Connect with So THIS Is Fitness Facebook Instagram The Fitwife's Instagram!
