On a very cathartic bonus episode of Rotted Podcast we talk Star Wars the Last Jedi. Specifically the 40% difference between the critic Rotten Tomatoes score. Why is the audience rating worse than all the prequels, DC comic movies and most of the Transformers? How much of this is caused by the alt-right bots and assholes that are trying to drive down the film due to it's progressive messages and female and minority casting. We look at the last three hours of reviews and found that 10 were from alt right based on the SJW in the review. Let us know your thoughts on the film! On a very special episode of Rotted Podcast, Adam and Chase head down to the Alamo Drafthouse to see the Emoji Movie! Does this film deserve to be in the Criterion Collection? Or is it a two hour add for Apps? RT Description: This animated comedy takes place in Textopolis, a world inside a smartphone that's inhabited by various emojis. There, an emoji named Gene (voiced by T.J. Miller) is ashamed that he has multiple facial expressions while his colleagues only have one each, and he embarks on a quest to be like everyone else. James Corden, Anna Faris, Jennifer Coolidge, Patrick Stewart, and Maya Rudolph also lend their voices to this film from Sony Pictures Animation.
On our second episode of Rotted we talk about the zero percent on Rotten Tomatoes rated Return of the Living Dead II from 1988. We ponder: Why did they think that doing a soft reboot the first film but having more kids and comedy would work? What's up with that Michael Jackson? Why is comedian Doug Benson one of the zombies? Why on the making of commentary do the creators just talk about how awful the film is? They did make some great zombies though. Our mission on Rotted Podcast is to find the kernel of corn in the turds but the entire premise gets tested on our first episode. Return of the Living Dead 2 Synopsis: Curious kids unearth the barrels that helped revive the dead of the first film, which proves the second time's an undead charm.
