In this week's episode of the world's-fastest-movie-review podcast, Jackson and Mike review "TOY STORY 5" and take a look back at the entire Toy Story universe! First, a review of "TOY STORY 5" as Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the gang return for a new adventure that explores the challenges toys face in a world increasingly dominated by technology and digital entertainment. Featuring the voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Ernie Hudson, Tony Hale, and Anna Faris. Then, Jackson and Mike revisit the many Toy Story shorts, television specials, and spin-offs that expanded Pixar's groundbreaking franchise between feature films, including "Toy Story Toons" ("Hawaiian Vacation," "Small Fry," and "Partysaurus Rex"), the Halloween special "Toy Story of Terror!," the prehistoric adventure "Toy Story That Time Forgot," "Lamp Life," and the Disney+ series "Forky Asks a Question." Along the way they discuss how these projects helped keep the franchise alive, developed fan-favorite characters, and bridged the gaps between Pixar's feature-length adventures.

Greg Alba and Jackie Bonsignore continue watching the Scary Movie franchise in order with Scary Movie 5 for the first time, the 2013 parody sequel that swaps in Ashley Tisdale, brings back Charlie Sheen for one wild opening scene, and spoofs everything from Paranormal Activity and Mama to Black Swan, Inception, Evil Dead, and Rise of the Planet of the Apes. With Scary Movie 6 now in theaters and bringing back the Wayans family, Anna Faris, Regina Hall, and more, this Scary Movie 5 full movie reaction is the perfect final stop before comparing Scary Movie 5 vs Scary Movie 6 in 2026. In this Greg Alba and Jackie Bonsignore Scary Movie reaction and Scary Movie 5 review, they break down the Charlie Sheen scene, Ashley Tisdale's Scary Movie debut, Simon Rex, Snoop Dogg, the creepy Mama parody, Paranormal Activity camera gags, Black Swan ballet spoof, Inception jokes, Evil Dead cabin chaos, Caesar and the ape lab scenes, and some of the strangest, funniest moments in the whole franchise. Even though Scary Movie 5 has a rough reputation, Greg Alba and Jackie Bonsignore end up laughing more than expected while debating whether this overlooked sequel deserves more credit before the Scary Movie 6 Wayans family return. The Andy Riesmeyer Show Hour 3 (6.12) In the 8 p.m. hour, Andy and the crew check the latest USA vs Paraguay score in the FIFA World Cup (no spoilers!) while debating what truly makes you an Angelino — is it spotting an A-list celebrity, or is it that inevitable awkward encounter with Andy Dick or Ron Jeremy? The crew plays a lively round of Solo to Solo, where callers try to guess the artist, guitarist, and song, right after Dan + Shay nailed the Star-Spangled Banner at the big FIFA game. Andy catches up with his KTLA colleague Samantha Cortese, who survived the chaos of Hollywood to cover David Beckham getting his star on the Walk of Fame. The hour wraps with Disney Cruise Lines cracking down on over-the-top cabin decorations and limiting guests to just one bottle of wine (because apparently, we’re all Disney adults now), before circling back to the legendary “lot lizard” conversation. Pure chaotic fun as only Andy can deliver. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Spoilers for Scary Movie. Jason and Rachel review Scary Movie, the sixth installment in the franchise and the return of the Wayans Brothers. The movie brings back Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Ghostface, horror spoof chaos, offensive jokes, stoner comedy, and a whole lot of nostalgia — but did it actually make us laugh? We talk about the Wayans Brothers returning to the franchise, the Teyana Taylor cold open, the packed-but-quiet theater experience, Scary Movie 3 holding up surprisingly well, The Naked Gun comparison, whether the jokes pull their punches, and why this reboot left us more sad than satisfied. This week we're reviewing the return of the Scary Movie franchise. We discuss the endless list of dated references, significant time spent on non-horror movies, the Wayans penchant for punching down, and whether or not Gen X are the new Boomers. Plus, what makes a truly great horror parody, and what films SHOULD you check out? Racheld drops some truly mind blowing trivia about the original scary movie, and we debate what's maybe the most important question, do the Wayans brothers actually LIKE horror movies? Scary Movie (AKA Scary Movie 6) is an upcoming American horror-parody film directed by Michael Tiddes and written by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans, and Rick Alvarez. It is the sixth installment in the Scary Movie film series, following Scary Movie 5 (2013), and the spiritual sequel to the first two films. It stars Marlon, Shawn, and other returning actors including Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Jon Abrahams, and Anthony Anderson. The plot follows Cindy Campbell and her friends Ray Wilkins and siblings Shorty and Brenda Meeks reunited when the same masked killer from the first film resurfaces. Learn more about your ad choices. I take on Scary Movie 2026 with a light-spoiler movie discussion covering Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Doofy, Ghostface, and the film's modern horror parody targets. Is this a real comeback for spoof movies, or just a messy nostalgia play?

"Scary Movie 6" starring Anna Faris and Regina Hall released just days ago to a massive box office overhaul, continuing Paramount Pictures' streak of franchise hits after "Scream 7." In this episode, Ryan reviews "Scary Movie 6" with producer TJ Jones, Josh Carr, Anthony Dapuzzo, and Jess Melendez. Ryan discusses the bold statement the Wayans Brothers make with the ending of this movie about embracing the original characters rather than the requel replacements, a concept that has been widely discussed in relation to the SCREAM franchise since "Scream VI." In addition, Ryan explains his point of view as to why the Wayans spoofed the exact narrative structure of "Scream" (2022) to undercut the message of the Radio Silence era with their own statement about how they view their franchise. Then, Ashley joins Ryan to for "Drop Dead" by Olivia Rodrigo as the song of the week ahead of the release of her new album, "You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So In Love," this Friday. This week is an absolute monster of an episode. We are diving into the most talked-about releases of the summer—navigating endless liminal spaces, heading to Eternia with He-Man, surviving a demonic road trip, and breaking down the return of the Wayans family to the parody throne. We're kicking off with A24's massive sci-fi psychological horror phenomenon, directed by YouTube sensation Kane Parsons in his feature debut. Chiwetel Ejiofor stars as a struggling furniture store owner who stumbles upon a dimension of endless, unsettling liminal spaces hidden right beneath his basement. Fun Flix Fact: The film's massive box office success made Kane Parsons the youngest filmmaker in history to reach number one at the American box office By the power of Grayskull, He-Man is back on the big screen! Directed by Travis Knight, this epic live-action adventure stars Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam/He-Man, who returns to Eternia to find his home shattered under the rule of Skeletor (Jared Leto). Fun Flix Fact: Jared Leto went to extreme lengths to stay in character and intimidate his co-stars. Director Travis Knight revealed that Leto wore his prosthetic skeletal muscle suit off-camera and regularly smeared what appeared to be blood on his face between takes! The parody godfathers are back. The Wayans brothers have returned to the franchise for the first time in 25 years, reuniting with Anna Faris and Regina Hall for a wild take on modern horror hits like Longlegs, Terrifier 3, and even the 2026 biopic Michael. Fun Flix Fact: To maintain absolute secrecy around the surprise cameos, the production filmed multiple alternate endings involving different modern horror antagonists, keeping even the cast guessing until the final cut. Rounding out our main reviews is the supernatural horror flick directed by André Øvredal (The Autopsy of Jane Doe). Jacob Scipio and Lou Llobell star as a young couple on a road trip who witness a terrible highway accident, only to find themselves hunted by a demonic entity known only as "The Passenger." Fun Flix Fact:The production managed to keep its budget incredibly tight at $15 million, relying on claustrophobic car interiors and intense practical lighting to build relentless tension. To celebrate a quarter-century of raunchy, unapologetic comedy, we are winding the clock back to 2001. We revisit the Wayans brothers' follow-up to the blockbuster original to see how its haunted house spoofs hold up in 2026. Fun Flix Fact: Scary Movie 2 was notoriously rushed into production, hitting theaters just over a year after the first film. Despite the incredibly tight turnaround, it cemented tropes that defined early 2000s comedy cinema. And if that's not enough entertainment for you, we've even thrown in new trailers to watch and what you can catch on streaming. Is Scary Movie funny in 2026? Depends on which one of us you're talking to. The Wayans brothers returned for Scary Movie 6, but did the humor stay stuck in 2000? This week, we are getting brutally honest about the latest installment of the horror-parody franchise. While it was great to see Anna Faris and Regina Hall back on screen together, did the jokes about TikTok, Drake vs. Kendrick, and ChatGPT actually land, or did it just feel like a mish-mash of random skits? We track the hits, the major misses, and why simply putting M3GAN on a subway doesn't automatically make it a good joke.
Scary Movie (also known as Scary Movie 6) is an upcoming American parody film directed by Michael Tiddes and written by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans, and Rick Alvarez. The plot follows Cindy Campbell and her friends Ray Wilkins and siblings Shorty and Brenda Meeks reunited when the same masked killer from the first film resurfaces.Hosted on Ausha. The Wayans Brothers are finally back with Scary Movie after 25 years! The nostalgia is strong, Anna Faris and Regina Hall haven't missed a beat, and the movie throws EVERYTHING from Scream, M3GAN, Terrifier, Longlegs, and more into the mix. But does stuffing every horror and pop culture reference imaginable actually make it funny? My full review breaks it down.

With movies like “Once,” “Begin Again” and “Sing Street,” Irish filmmaker John Carney has found a way to make movie musicals relevant for contemporary audiences. His latest effort is "Power Ballad." Kansas City's Paul Rudd stars alongside Nick Jonas in the story of a struggling wedding singer who bonds with a pop star. When the former boy band member steals a song from his friend, things get dicey. Rudd is as good as he's been in years, and Jonas is solid in a role tailor made for him. “Power Ballad” is a rousing crowd-pleaser that's filled with catchy music. If you are familiar with the phrase, "By the power of Grayskull," then the clunky action fantasy "Masters of the Universe" might be nostalgic for you...but that's really all it's got going for it. In this update of the 80s adventure cartoons based on the line of Mattel toys, Nicholas Galitzine plays an annoyingly uncertain He-Man, Jered Leto provides the petulant voice of Skeletor and Idris Elba is wasted as a washed-up warrior. The movie's tongue-in-cheek approach never works. “Masters of the Universe” lacks the power. The Wayans Brothers are back with yet another ultra raunchy horror movie parody. Despite its title, "Scary Movie" is actually “Scary Movie 6,” the latest installment in the franchise that started 26 years ago. It reunites many of the movies' familiar cast members including Marlon and Shawn Wayans and a few dozen other Wayans, Regina Hall and Anna Faris. Sadly, the Wayans have officially run out of ideas for “Scary Movie” and try to fill the gap with repetitive and aggressively offensive material. Now that's scary.

It's a true full circle moment for Anna Faris. SCARY MOVIE launched her and now after a long time away she's back in the 6th installment of the franchise. And she's feeling grateful and nostalgic which makes for a great conversation with Josh about her beginnings, her unlikely rise to comedy icon, going dramatic, MOM, and more. Mindy Kaling's long-awaited new comedy has finally landed on Disney+, and if you grew up on Sex and the City, Girls and Broad City, it's your next obsession — five hot friends, glossy Manhattan apartments and that razor-sharp humour.Over on Paramount+, a new Aussie dramedy starring Phoebe Tonkin has a ticking-clock premise you'll devour in one sitting. And at the cinema, a gloriously un-PC horror reboot brings Anna Faris and Regina Hall roaring back, every bit as chaotic as the original. Plus the action film everyone wrote off from the trailer — until Nicholas Galitzine, Jared Leto and a scene-stealing Camila Mendes turned it into the most fun you'll have at the movies right now.Remember The Spill drops the tea twice a day in this feed so follow us for all the latest entertainment news… OR you can WATCH our show in full length video on the Apple Podcast app - make sure your phone is up to date and enjoy the watch!

We unpack the stellar comedic performances of the legendary ensemble cast, featuring Anna Faris (The House Bunny, Mom) as the effortlessly brilliant Cindy Campbell, Regina Hall (Girls Trip, The Best Man) as the iconic Brenda Meeks, Marlon Wayans (White Chicks, Requiem for a Dream) as the weed-loving Shorty, and Shawn Wayans (White Chicks, Don't Be a Menace) as the secretly closeted Ray. We also dive into the unhinged supporting players, featuring Chris Elliott (Schitt's Creek, Groundhog Day) as the creepy caretaker Hanson with his infamous "little hand," David Cross (Arrested Development, Kung Fu Panda) as the fragile-egoed Dwight Hartman, Tori Spelling (Beverly Hills, 90210) as Alex Monday, James Woods (Casino) as Father McFeely, and Natasha Lyonne (Russian Doll) in the unforgettable opening sequence. Our hosts react to every single iconic visual gag, from the chaotic, vomit-drenched Exorcist prologue that had Jackie physically gagging, to Shorty getting rolled into a massive joint and smoked by a sentient weed plant. We breakdown the legendary kitchen scene where Hanson intimately stuffs a turkey, the absurd physical comedy of Cindy's full-tilt hallway fight with a feral cat, and the climax featuring an incredible Charlie's Angels style wire-work martial arts showdown. Even with its fast-paced, sketch-like structure rushed out to theaters right after the massive success of the first film, this movie delivers an onslaught of unforgettable early-2000s references that perfectly showcase the timeless comedic genius of Anna Faris carrying the entire narrative. BEFORE SCARY MOVIE 6 THERE WAS THE OG PARODY! Scary Movie Full Movie Reaction Watch Along: / thereelrejects Scary Movie 2000 Reaction & Commentary with Greg Alba and Jackie Bonsignore first time watching! In the lead-up to the brand new Scary Movie reboot / Scary Movie 6, we're going back to the original horror parody classic that started it all: Scary Movie, from the Wayans Brothers, spoofing Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, slasher movies, teen horror, and every inappropriate 2000s comedy rule imaginable. In this Scary Movie reaction, Jackie watches the original for the first time while Greg revisits the movie that traumatized his Catholic school childhood in the funniest way possible. We break down the Ghostface parody Scary Movie opening, the Scary Movie Wassup scene reaction, Marlon Wayans as Shorty, Anna Faris as Cindy Campbell, Regina Hall as Brenda, the Brenda cinema scene Scary Movie, the Scream parody reaction, the I Know What You Did Last Summer spoof, and all the wild jokes that absolutely feel like they could never be made the same way today. With the new Scary Movie reboot bringing the franchise back, this felt like the perfect time for a Scary Movie franchise retrospective and Scary Movie original vs reboot conversation. The Wayans Brothers helped define the modern horror parody with this movie, and now that Scary Movie 6 is bringing back major franchise faces, we're looking at whether the 2000 original still holds up as one of the best horror parodies ever made. Is Scary Movie 2000 still hilarious? Is Anna Faris one of the most underrated comedy leads of the 2000s? Is Regina Hall's Brenda the funniest part of the franchise? And can the new Scary Movie Wayans Brothers reboot recapture this level of chaos? Movie Mike dives into the millennial optimism era which is being described on TikTok as a strangely comforting, slightly delusional time in the late 2000s and early 2010s. Mike shares what movies best represent this era from 500 Days of Summer to Easy A as he remembers a world of hipster aesthetics, early Instagram, and a belief that life would only improve, often contrasting with current, more cynical times. Mike gives his mini review of Disney-Pixar’s Hoppers. In the Movie Review, Mike shares his thoughts on THE BRIDE! starring Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale. It takes place in 1930s Chicago where a groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious brings a murdered young woman back to life to be a companion for Frankenstein's monster. Mike shares his thoughts on Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale’s amazing performances but ultimately why it felt like Maggie Gyllenhaal was holding back on the story she wanted to tell. In the Trailer Park, Mike breaks down Scary Movie 6 and the long awaited return of the Wayans brothers. Can a raunch parody movie of this magnitude work in today’s climate?
