A special T.A.C.O. Tuesday episode that starts with drama concerning a rapidly aging incontinent man who can't grow facial hair or dodge a punch, before shifting to concerns about increased data collection, MAHA's AI hallucinations, why communications from the CDC were a good thing, and Pam Bondi v the ADA (if performed by Jennifer Coolidge). Then, we shift to cover a Fyre fest inspired meme coin dinner, the value of Job Corps, and more denials of due process as communities unite to object. Additionally we delve into Ukraine's 'Operation Spiderwebs', the National Science Foundation, free classes at Harvard, and details about a slew of recent presidential pardons, including for Todd and Julie Chrisley.Find your representatives at USA.GOV and/or the "5 Calls" app and contact them, often. All opinions are personal and not representative of any outside company, person, or agenda. Send us a textMinecraft: The Movie had all the ingredients for disaster - a video game with no story, a director known for divisive comedies, and the challenge of bringing blocky visuals to life. Yet somehow, this cubic adventure emerges as one of the most genuinely entertaining family films of the year.Jack Black brings manic energy as Steve, a doorknob salesman who discovers a portal to the Minecraft world and builds his own cubic paradise. When the evil Malgosia (played with delightful villainy) threatens to conquer this realm, Steve teams up with Garrett (Jason Momoa in what might be his most enjoyable role yet), a washed-up gamer who stumbles upon a mysterious artifact. What makes Minecraft work isn't its plot - which is paper-thin - but its commitment to embracing absurdity with open arms. Night comes every twenty minutes, characters craft elaborate structures with a single bang on a table, and physics operates on game logic rather than reality. Director Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite) fills every frame with visual gags and references that will delight fans without alienating newcomers. The film's standout moments include a flying sequence where Momoa instructs Black to "let my hips be your guide" while soaring through canyons, a wrestling match featuring the rare "chicken jockey" enemy, and perhaps the funniest villain death scene in recent memory involving multiple hidden knives. Jennifer Coolidge provides perfect comedic relief as a recently divorced school administrator who falls for one of the blocky villagers, believing his inability to speak means "he's Swedish."Unlike many video game adaptations that struggle with their source material, Minecraft leans fully into what makes the game special - creativity, discovery, and the joy of building something from nothing. It's a rollercoaster ride that prioritizes fun over logic, and it's all the better for it.Have you played Minecraft or watched the film? We'd love to hear your thoughts! Send us a textEver wonder what happens when three grown men with minimal Minecraft knowledge attempt to review the billion-dollar blockbuster that has kids everywhere obsessed? The answer is both hilarious and illuminating.Join Hayden, Tom, and Mitch (aka Randy the Mitchell Man Savage) as they break down Minecraft: The Movie, the Jared Hess-directed adaptation starring Jack Black, Jason Momoa, and Jennifer Coolidge. Fresh from their annual Free Comic Book Day live show, the hosts dive into this unlikely box office sensation that has already grossed $845 million worldwide despite mixed critical reception. The conversation explores the film's plot about characters discovering a portal to the Minecraft universe, the creative liberties taken with game mechanics, and the meme-worthy moments that have children losing their minds in theaters (particularly Jack Black's "Lava Chicken" song). While the hosts acknowledge the movie isn't aimed at their demographic, they offer thoughtful insights about why it resonates so powerfully with its intended audience. The episode takes an even more entertaining turn when the hosts attempt a 50-question Minecraft trivia challenge that quickly exposes their gaming knowledge gaps. Their increasingly desperate guesses and creative workarounds will have you laughing along as they tackle questions ranging from basic game mechanics to obscure Minecraft facts. The segment perfectly captures the generational divide between casual adult observers and the children who live and breathe this digital world. Before wrapping up, the hosts share updates on upcoming entertainment projects including potential adaptations of Judge Dredd, Zelda, Power Rangers, and more. Whether you're a parent trying to understand your child's Minecraft obsession, a casual gamer, or just someone who enjoys authentic, funny conversation about pop culture, this episode delivers entertainment and insights in equal measure.Support the show

This week, The Filmlosophers are venturing into the blocky world of the big screen with a likely painful discussion of the latest video game adaptation, A Minecraft Movie. But the cinematic critique takes a bizarre turn as they address the alarming reports of disruptive behavior erupting in theaters during certain scenes of the film. Plus, they welcome their newest intern, the enthusiastic Intern Jesus, to the team! In this chaotic episode: Minecraft Movie Meltdown: The team will bravely (and perhaps begrudgingly) dissect A Minecraft Movie, analyzing its success (or more likely, its failures) in translating the beloved game to a cinematic experience. Expect discussions on story, visuals, and whether it captures the essence of building and survival. Theater of Terror: Minecraft Mayhem: The Filmlosophers will delve into the strange phenomenon of disruptive behavior during A Minecraft Movie screenings, pontificating on the breakdown of theater decorum and offering their (likely exasperated) thoughts on cinema etiquette. Welcoming Intern Jesus!: The crew introduces their newest intern, Intern Jesus, to the Filmlosophers family! They'll discuss his passion for film, his favorite (and perhaps surprising) guilty pleasure movies, and why his unique perspective makes him a perfect fit for the team. Join The Filmlosophers for an episode that's a bizarre blend of cinematic disappointment, social commentary on unruly audiences, and the welcoming of a new, divinely named intern. It's going to be a blocky, boisterous, and utterly unique discussion! So pull up a chair, grab your popcorn, and tune in to this week's block-tacular episode of The Filmlosophers!

The BG's are out in the streets this week. Between her ‘Watch What Happens Live' Show Debut and her live show at Joe's pub tonight, Anna has a lot of appearances to recap. She details her WWHL experience and the two wigs she brought to life behind the bar. Dre is in her resume builder era and started dance lessons at the well known Dance With Me studio. Speaking of lessons, Anna fondly recalls her saxophone days and Dre only remembers one song on the piano. To pay proper respects, Anna hit up the infamous Times Square ‘Forever 21' that's closing down and quickly discovered she and many other people shared a lot of 2am tipsy memories at that location. Ahhh yesss the Memz. Then they get into their TV shows and Morgan Wallen's awkward SNL stage walk-off. I guess he was just trying to “Get To Gods Country.” Plus, they talk the new season of “Farmer Wants A Wife,” which is…exactly what it sounds like. Justice has been served as it was announced that convicted murderer, Yolanda, was denied bail. Damn straight. All that and Benny Bianco's viral toe nail art. Gross? Maybe…but the nail art is impressive so we needed to debrief. If you love White Lotus, make sure to listen to last week's Celeb Catch-Up with Parker Posey and Jennifer Coolidge. White Lotus was an experience for all those watching and got everyone sayin' 'I've been fucked up....But I ain't ever been THAT fucked up', but Gud Pud Jackie probably enjoyed it ps SPOILERYNESS STARTS AROUND 11:40 til 27:00 (I think that's it?) In a similarly mortifying fashion, Gwen Stefani is partnering with a bunch of other uber religious celebs to release a Jesus app called 'Hallow' that'll help you 'STAY PRAYED UP' with Mark Wahlberg!.......for $9.99 a month. MJ loves Season 1 'Severance' and Jackie's saying Season 2 is just as good, regardless of reviews. The most recent season of 'Love Is Blind' has conservatives foaming at the mouth because of two female contestants drawing the line at hateful religions, a listener gave Jackie a complex by letting them know that Benny Blanco is a bad bad man because he....ruined Maroon 5? More? Sabrina Carpenter keeps unjustly getting shit as well as praise for being 'too sexy', and if that ain't just a summation of being a female presenting human for the past ~12000 years. This delves into a deeper conversation of why the responsibility of raising a generation of girls was placed upon a teenage Britney Spears shoulders when all she wanted to do was sing and dance. Sabrina also collaborated with the one and only Dolly Parton to release a new version of 'Please, Please, Please' with a MV that tells the rest of the tale from the first video! Jennifer Coolidge is braggin' 'bout gettin' laid from her acting roles and now she's attracted to deeply unavailable meeeeeeen. Jackie gives a positively glowing review of 'Best in Show' with suggestion to watch any movie by Christopher Guest, and the bad reviews just keep rollin' in as 'The Baldwins' puts everyone to sleep. And it's not just from the nitrous from their child armies pediatric dentist office.Want even more Page 7? Support us on Patreon!
