I got him to talk to me about (he wrote the questions, so this is just some highlights)...-What I’ve learned in the last 100 interviews.-What I’ve got out of the podcast (both good and bad).-The positive and negative points of making a podcast and building a community.-How has the podcast changed from my perspective and has impacted anything in my live careerAND MOREStream - http://simoncaine.co.uk/ATI/Comedy101iTunes - https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/ask-the-industry-podcast/id946220937YouTube - https://youtu.be/OVLHEKfrtT4This interview would be good for anyone who wants to know what I’ve got out of doing this show for 3 years and how much work goes on behind the scenes. Hello and welcome to episode 2 of Laughter is the best placebo the podcast that hopes to shine a light on mental health one issue at a time. In this episode I am talking to comedian Tony Law about his struggles with drink and drugs and substance abuse and how that resulted in him losing gigs and blowing big opportunities like TV spots and tour shows. We covered how he got into comedy, why he got clean and the journey between the two. Quick trigger warning: As I just said, we'll be covering drink, drugs and substance abuse in quite a bit of detail. Those are the main triggers but truth be told there's probably more things in here that could trigger some people but I am going to assume if you're this far into the episode you realize the type of show it is and what you're getting into. If at any point you don't feel like you can listen any more don't. Quick disclaimer: NOBODY involved in this show is a doctor or medical professional. This show is not here to be a substitute for actually getting help it's meant to open up the discussion and make it easier for people to see that everyone has mental health issues. And you're probably not alone in yours and that it's very easy to chat about. If you'd like to talk to the growing community of pod listeners please do join the facebook group, just search for laughter is the best placebo on facebook obviously. https://www.facebook.com/groups/357795194656392/?ref=br_rs But now, without any more delays... this is Tony Law.
