On this week of Rolling Rocks Radio we review the Darksider Challenge and drink Tin Cup Whisky. The Darksider Challenge was a way for Cody, Scott, and Jerry to keep growing while still spending time with family over the Christmas and New Year holiday. Each member of the podcast had to come up with a challenge that they, and the rest of the team, had to complete before January 3rd. Scott's Challenge - Scott challenged the team to start and finish a book by the end of the challenge period. It could be as little as 100 pages and could be read on either paper or e-reader, but the team had to READ the book. Audio books were not allowed. Scott picked - "Your Best Year Ever" by Michael Hyatt Cody picked - "Musashi's Book of Five Rings" by Miyamoto Musashi (Translated by Stephen F. Kaufman) Jerry picked - "Fortitude: American Resilience in the Era of Outrage" by Dan Crenshaw Jerry's Challenge - All of the Rolling Rocks Radio team have been writing for Nathan's website Barbarian Rhetoric. Jerry challenged each of the team to have a new article written and ready to be proof read by the rest of the team by January 3rd. These articles are now live on Barbarian Rhetoric!! Cody's article - Forging Fatherhood to Combat an Epidemic Jerry's article - “New Year New Me” To A Father's Redemption Scott's article - Unconventional Balance Act Of Life and Work Cody's Challenge - Cody challenged the team to go thru a 10 day bible study, with discussion at the end of each day's assignment. This was done thre the YouVersion Bible App or Bible.com. The first plan was UNCOMMEN: Husband and the second was UNCOMMEN: Husbands Part 2 We also covered Jerry's fantasy MMA Match up of this week - Mark Coleman -VS- Cain Velasquez Cody is tagged to provide the matchup for next week!
