In this solo episode, Travis digs into old notes from his phone to unpack why humans are wired for fear—evolutionary survival that now fuels anxiety and stalled dreams. He shares his "rocking chair test" for big risks (like a six-figure filming project with legends) and how fearing regret beats fearing failure every time. On this episode we talk about: Human evolution: 99% of our 100,000-year history as hunter-gatherers made fear our survival edge—now it creates worry over non-threats like embarrassment or loss. Reptilian brain vs. subconscious supercomputer: You can't override it, but awareness lets you redirect fear (e.g., fear of mediocrity > fear of failing once). Jocko Willink wisdom: "Every failure that does not lead to death is psychological"—nothing to lose by swinging again. Travis's risk framework: Worst-case (lose money)? Renewable. Best-case? Dream life. Time isn't—don't wait for the "perfect" moment. Rocking chair test: At 98, will you regret not acting more than failing? Past risks always led to growth, win or lose. Top 3 Takeaways 1. Fear is inevitable—choose the right one: Fear living subpar > fear one failure; money renews, time doesn't. 2. Worst-case scenarios rarely kill you; engage fear directly to shrink it, then act—upside crushes downside. 3. Build proof through risks: One success unlocks confidence; even "failures" spark hyper-growth and problem-solving. Notable Quotes "Worry is simply faith that something bad is going to happen... Hope is faith that something good is going to happen." "Everybody gives in to fear. Whether it's the fear of failing at making your dreams come true or the fear of never making your dreams come true, the one you give into will determine how you live your life." "I fear that state of regret so much more than I fear risking embarrassment now." Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Rick isn't just a celebrated voiceover artist—he's also a dad of two and the creative force behind Shoe Biters, a ‘90s-inspired animated rock band for kids. Fred from the Subarctic Alaska Sasquatch is back with a disturbing report of increased activity across the Kenai Peninsula before turning to a recent encounter involving Marty and her grandson, Doug, near Alaska's remote McCarthy Road. The trouble began when electrical problems forced their RV off the dirt road near an old single-lane bridge dating back to 1910. While Marty remained inside the vehicle, Doug walked toward the bridge to record the scenery with his new iPhone. The forest suddenly went completely silent. Moments later, an explosive scream tore through the valley with enough force to make Doug drop the phone into a steep ravine.Looking toward a nearby bluff, Doug spotted an enormous humanoid figure standing above the road. He estimated it was more than ten feet tall.As the figure began moving in the direction of the stranded RV, Doug rushed back to warn his grandmother.Marty had already begun hearing pebbles and larger rocks striking the outside of the camper. Overcome by an intense sense of danger, she looked outside and saw a massive dark figure near the vehicle.Fearing it was preparing to attack, she loaded a shotgun and waited inside while the impacts continued. A local family eventually arrived and confirmed that they had also seen what they believed was a Bigfoot. As they attempted to help Marty and Doug leave the area, rocks were thrown into the bed of their truck.During the escape, Marty caught another glimpse of the figure shaking trees and unleashing powerful vocalizations from the timber. What began as a routine mechanical problem had left them stranded beside an isolated Alaskan bridge with something enormous closing in from the wilderness.Subarctic Alaska Sasquatch YouTube ChannelEmail BrianJoin Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sasquatch-odyssey--4839697/support.Have you had a Bigfoot encounter, Sasquatch sighting, Dogman experience, or other cryptid or paranormal encounter? Keir Starmer is facing intensifying calls to resign as a political scandal deepens around his decision to appoint Peter Mandelson as the UK's ambassador to the United States, despite serious concerns raised during the security vetting process. The controversy centers on revelations that Mandelson failed key vetting checks tied in part to his past association with Jeffrey Epstein, raising questions about judgment, oversight, and whether warnings were ignored or overridden. Starmer has acknowledged the appointment was a mistake but maintains he was not informed of the failed vetting at the time, a claim that critics—both political opponents and figures within his own party—have openly challenged. The growing pressure is not just about the appointment itself, but about credibility and accountability. Critics argue that either Starmer knew about the risks and proceeded anyway, or he failed to maintain control over a critical national security decision—both scenarios fueling demands for his resignation. The issue has been compounded by internal turmoil, including firings, conflicting testimony from officials, and broader political setbacks facing his government. With elections looming and party support showing signs of strain, the scandal has evolved into a direct threat to his leadership, with opponents framing it as a defining test of trust and competence at the highest level of government.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Why U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer Is Facing Growing Calls to ResignBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

In this episode of Talk Dizzy To Me, vestibular physical therapists Dr. Abbie Ross, PT, NCS and Dr. Danielle Tolman, PT are joined by Dr. Katherine Deines, PT, NCS and Dr. Jaimy Wahab, PT, NCS, also known as the Neuro Dizzy Duo, for a deep dive into one of the most overlooked parts of the vestibular system: the otolith organs. While many people associate vertigo and dizziness with the semicircular canals and spinning sensations, this episode explores how the utricle and saccule help us sense gravity, acceleration, head position, vertical orientation, and linear movement. The conversation highlights why otolith dysfunction may contribute to symptoms such as rocking, swaying, bobbing, feeling pulled or pushed, floating, walking on marshmallows, disorientation, and feeling “off.”The guests also explain how otolith dysfunction may show up in conditions such as BPPV, vestibular migraine, PPPD/3PD, Mal de Débarquement Syndrome, concussion, dysautonomia, POTS, Parkinson's disease, and other complex vestibular presentations. This episode is especially helpful for vestibular clinicians, physical therapists, audiologists, patients with chronic dizziness, and anyone trying to better understand why dizziness is not always “spinning.”Episode Resources:Where to find The Dizzy Duo on Instagram: @neuro_dizzy_duoEmail address: info@neurodizzyduo.comCourses, publications, or resources:Their Positive Spin on Dizziness advanced vestibular courses cover many lesser discussed topics:otolith dysfunction, the difference between vestibular dysfunction and hypersensitivity, visual motion hypersensitivity, Vestibular Migraine, Mal de Debarquement Syndrome, Meniere's diseaseRecommended products or links: https://www.reactiveeducation.com/storeHosted by:

This week, we expect on-hold decisions by the Fed, BOE, SNB, Riksbank, Norges Bank, RBA and BI, but hikes by BOJ, BSP and CBC. We expect the Fed, BOE, SNB, Riksbank, Norges Bank, RBA and BI to all keep policy rates unchanged. By contrast, we see the BOJ, BSP, and CBC as likely to hike at a measured pace. Statements will be non-committal across the board, and all eyes on Fed Chair Warsh who will likely try to be balanced. Chapters: US:1:53, UK:9:05, Japan:14:54, Asia:14:59.

This episode is brought to you by Ancient & Brave, Strong Coffee Company and Audible. What if your anxiety, exhaustion, gut issues, insomnia, chronic tension, or even emotional numbness weren't random… but your body trying to communicate unresolved stress and trauma? Somatic healing expert and When the Body Speaks author Liz Tenuto—better known online as "The Workout Witch"—joiins us to unpack how trauma gets stored in the nervous system and why so many people stay stuck even after years of therapy, self-help, and "doing all the right things." Liz explains the science behind somatic healing, bottom-up nervous system regulation, neurogenic tremors, emotional release, chronic stress physiology, and how seemingly "normal" symptoms like jaw clenching, gut issues, fatigue, insomnia, and brain fog may actually be signs your body never fully completed the stress response. This conversation blends neuroscience, emotional healing, nervous system education, and practical tools into one of the deepest conversations yet on what it truly means to move Ever Forward. YOU WILL LEARN: Why trauma is physical, not just emotional The difference between top-down vs bottom-up healing How chronic stress silently changes the body Why high performers often normalize dysregulation The role of safety and co-regulation in healing The surprising power of tiny movements and somatic exercises How unresolved trauma can mask deeper layers of pain Why healing can lead to a more authentic and connected life Follow Liz @theworkoutwitch_ Follow Chase @chase_chewning ----- 00:00 – Trauma gets stored in the body 00:44 – What "bottom-up healing" means 01:00 – Why physical release creates emotional healing 01:33 – Neurogenic tremors explained 01:51 – Your body is your most honest messenger 03:09 – Giving yourself permission to not feel okay 06:11 – Is healing a luxury in modern life? 07:35 – When your body is quietly screaming at you 09:07 – Healthy coping vs hidden avoidance 11:42 – Why we always go to extremes with stress 14:21 – Can 5–10 minutes a day really heal stress? 16:12 – Signs trauma may be stored in your nervous system 19:58 – A simple vagus nerve exercise for relaxation 22:25 – Rocking movements & soothing the nervous system 25:14 – Gabor Maté's definition of trauma 26:56 – What is secondary trauma? 30:05 – Chase shares his PTSD healing journey 31:59 – Somatics vs talk therapy explained 35:11 – Why the jaw & psoas hold stress 36:09 – Why animals shake after stress (and humans don't) 38:54 – Why physical release creates emotional release 40:46 – The importance of safe people & co-regulation 43:08 – Signs your nervous system may be dysregulated 45:20 – Liz shares her trauma story 47:14 – Discovering somatic healing for the first time 49:39 – What somatic exercises actually look like 51:16 – Why gentle movement heals the nervous system 53:09 – Can you do somatic healing on your own? 54:20 – Reclaiming ownership of your body 55:50 – Healing trauma through unlearning survival patterns 57:43 – Somatics vs therapy: where should people start? 58:45 – Healing trauma you can't consciously remember 01:02:16 – Why avoiding trauma never truly works 01:03:09 – Trauma lives in your cells & tissues 01:05:57 – Healing creates ripple effects for others 01:09:57 – Liz on joy, hobbies & learning to play again 01:12:45 – What "Ever Forward" means to Liz 01:14:24 – "When the body speaks… are we listening?" ----- Episode resources: Save 20% on Tru Biome with code EVERFOFRWARD from Ancient and Brave Save 15% on organic coffee with code CHASE from Strong Coffee Company FREE 30-day trial of Audible audiobooks Watch and subscribe on YouTube Get Liz's new book When the Body Speaks

Body image, self-worth and ageing are all key midlife topics and many women struggle deeply with their bodies at midlife, often in silence. Dr Ellen Albertson is passionate about changing that. She's a psychologist, registered dietitian, board-certified health and wellness coach and author of Rock Your Midlife. She's known as The Midlife Whisperer and it's easy to understand why. How the science of the vagus nerve explains anxiety, ambition, burnout, and the art of becoming who you actually are. Humans, might be the most sophisticated organism on Earth (capable of writing symphonies, landing on the moon, and inventing artisanal sourdough). Yet at our core, we are running threat-detection software that predates the dinosaurs. Stephen Porges, the scientist who mapped the vagus nerve's extraordinary influence on human behaviour, joins us to explain why this ancient wiring is quietly making most of your big life decisions for you. The good news is that evolution, for once, gave us a rather elegant solution. Safety — genuine, physiological safety — unlocks curiosity, creativity, and the particular satisfaction of becoming who you actually are. The even better news is it's achievable without a retreat, a cold plunge, or a subscription. What you'll take away: Why your gut reactions are data, not drama How the environments we build either cage or liberate our best thinking Why the most calming people aren't trying to be calm Your nervous system has been waiting for this conversation. Prime Minister Keir Starmer Is Facing Growing Calls to Resign
