The Wealth Standard – Empowering Individual Financial Independence

Every human being has this primal instinct that awakens whenever we need to protect our loved ones. But on the other side of this survival nature is the far opposite: the expression of gratitude. In this Thanksgiving message, Patrick Donohoe looks back on how he protected his wife and kids from a possible assault by tapping into his primal instinct in just a split second. He explains how this opened his eyes that there is more to life than simply fighting to live, but also mindfulness and vulnerability. Love the show? Subscribe, rate, review, and share! On this episode of Pilsners & Politics, Benji and Vinny sit down with Donnie, a current law enforcement officer, to dissect the most polarizing court case being played out in the media; the Kyle Rittenhouse trial.  Rittenhouse had been on trial in the public eye from the moment his incident occurred.  Many left leaning media pundits were quick to mischaracterize him as a "white supremist," spending the last year slandering his good name and ultimately ruining his reputation.  Don't we live in a country where your innocent until proven guilty?  Has everyone forgotten that the burden of proof lies squarely on the People?  Understanding that our justice system isn't perfect, it is still the best system in the world.  That being said, the jury in this particular case got it right in finding Rittenhouse NOT GUILTY!  Furthermore, this incident, which was nothing more than self-defense from the start, should have never gone to trial in the first place.  Donnie provides valuable insight into this case and parlays it into his personal life, touching on an account of how a rogue and corrupt elected official can bring frivolous charges against someone with seemingly no checks and balances for ruining their name or otherwise stellar reputation.Tune in to hear Benji, Vinny and Donnie discuss the nuances of this trial.  Was it a trial about Kyle Rittenhouse shooting three people or was this trial really just an assault on 2A?  Take a listen and decide for yourself!

Self defense is not a racial issue. A white kid shooting three white guys who were attacking him is not a racial issue. A black man getting the charges dropped against him due to self defense is not a racial issue. Yet one is blasted across every social media platform and news outlet and the other got a blurb. One has celebrities and athletes crying out, the other is just a two paragraph report. Shooting at people in your high school after a fight is broken up is not self defense, not a racial issue. And not being covered, other than locally, beyond a blurb. In major metro areas there are kids killing each other practically every weekend for months at a time, but there is no outrage, no marches. no protests. No celebrities trying to preach about the injustice of it all. Families are destroyed every weekend when the weather is hot in big cities, but it's in poor neighborhoods so there are no rallies or cries for justice. It's a byline in a police blotter report. The media doesn't point so the dogs don't bark. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Closing arguments have concluded in the trial of the three white men accused of killing Ahmaud Arbery, a 25-year-old Black man who was out jogging. The Washington Post reports that many people across the U.S. are viewing the jury’s decision as a test of the movement for racial justice. Teachers have experienced intense burnout during the pandemic. Unlike workers in many other industries, however, K–12 educators have not left their jobs in alarming numbers. FiveThirtyEight explores why. 18-year old Kyle Rittenhouse was found not guilty on all counts Friday after testifying that he acted in self-defense when he shot three people and killed two during protests in Kenosha Wisconsin. The trial has reignited an intense debate over guns and racial injustice in the U.S. and the right to self-defense.  FOX News Contributor and Law Professor at George Washington University Jonathan Turley breaks down the case, and the future implications it has when it comes to self-defense.   On Monday, November 22nd President Biden announced he would nominate Jerome Powell for his second term as Chairman of the Federal Reserve. The move comes on the heels of difficult economic hurdles and months of discussion surrounding whether the President would move in a different direction for Fed Chairman as the U.S. faces an uncertain path out of a pandemic-weakened economy. White House Correspondent for Fox News Business Edward Lawrence joins to explain what President Biden's choice for Fed chair means for the direction of the U.S. economy, Jerome Powell's  experience within the Fed, and how Powell will address soaring inflation.   Plus, commentary by syndicated columnist Cal Thomas.

While the rabbis enshrined the right of self-defense, Jewish tradition also warns against wearing weaponry and looking for a fight. If anyone wishes to grasp how much we owe to the processes of exchange, let him consider what would happen in the modern world if every man were suddenly prohibited from exchanging anything with anyone else. Each person would be forced to produce all of his own goods and services himself. Th e utter chaos, the total starvation of the great bulk of the human race, and the reversion to primitive subsistence by the remaining handful of people, can readily be imagined. Murray N.
