Convert to Raid Presents: The podcast for World of Warcraft and other Blizzard Games!
The crew returns for another CtR this week, and this time they bring along world class raider, Treckie! Blizzard didn’t give much warning on the actual date, but patch 6.2 is set to launch Tuesday (June 23)! It’s time to get your characters ready for all of the great new content — the Hellfire Citadel raid, Tanaan Jungle, flying (to be released in a future patch), and much more. But what are some of the things you can do to make sure you’re on top of your game? Another large part of this release is the final chapter of the Legendary Ring quest line. The guy will give you some the basic idea of what you’ll need to do — all while trying not to give you too many spoilers along the way. Ion Hazzikostas, lead game designer for WoW, followed up last week’s Q&A with more on the forums this week. Included are more insights to some of his answers on the stream, and he also fields various new questions, ranging from class questions to encounter design and more. Also the Battlenet News returns as Blizzard lands at the PC Gaming Show at E3 to talk Heroes, Diablo, and StarCraft II, and we finally see how Tavern Brawls will work in Hearthstone. Plus, there’s a bunch of news for CtR Guild members, including information for the big Blizzcon party, the new raid tools exclusively for the CtR Guild and more!

Pat Krane and Koltrane are back, bringing in Treckie from Method (#1 ranked guild in the world) for another great show! Blizzard released their first blog post on garrisons, so the CtR crew examines some of the different features and systems of this new and expansive content for Warlords of Draenor. They discuss how player choices will effect how each character levels up to give them a somewhat unique experience, what you can expect from garrisons as you move about Draenor, and how followers can help you maximize your efforts. The Heart of the Valorous buff went out this last week, but it seems to have landed with a thud… at least with our panel. What do more upgrades and faster valor gains mean, and why did Blizzard feel the need to do it? Also, actor Ben Foster speaks about his character in the Warcraft movie, Moonkin get a huge change in the Warlords alpha, old school raiding can help change things up for your raid team, and much more!
Convert to Raid Presents: The podcast for World of Warcraft and other Blizzard Games!
There are lots of little things happening with Blizzard right now, and it gives the gang some time to recuperate from their big interview last week with Celestalon and Zarhym. So this week Koltrane and Pat Krane welcome Treckie from the #1 guild in the world, Method, and together they take a look deeper into the Warlords of Draenor alpha patch notes. There’s some important items that weren’t gotten to last week, so they fill in some of the facts that dropped through the cracks! Also, Blizzard packs PAX East full of beta codes, Naxxramas hits Hearthstone, Alliance vs. Horde in Azeroth Choppers, new models and animations, and your big questions of the week!

Covert to Raid #121 - Ghostcrawler Calls It Quits! This week on CtR, Treckie from the top guild in the world (Method) joins Koltrane and Pat Krane to talk about the latest news and views from around World of Warcraft, including a big shake up at Blizzard Entertainment! Greg Street announced that after almost six years as Lead Systems Designer he’s calling it quits and moving on to new (as yet undisclosed) opportunities. The guys discuss what Ghostcrawler has meant to the WoW Community over the years, and Koltrane’s cat left some clues as to where he might end up. Plus, the guys take a stroll down Memory Lane to their favorite G.C. moments. It may have been a short work week here in the U.S., but Community Manager Crithto released a huge post on gearing and stats for Warlords of Draenor. Will gearing be simplified for the next expansion, or will it be just as confusing? The guys discuss some interesting developments and what it could mean for players at the end game. A warlock from Russia (YouTube handle: Snowball) managed to solo Immerseus in the Siege of Orgrimmar raid instance! Was this flawed design, or are warlocks that overpowered? The crew weighs in with their opinions on having anyone be able to solo current content. Treckie comes fresh from DreamHack Winter and gives some great insights on raiding in a top guild, including his views on Mists of Pandaria raiding and what’s to come for Warlords of Draenor. And if you want to take your game to the next level, he’s got some stellar advice. All of that and more on a very fun show!
