The Scientist turned Gamer has worked on games which are globally popular and I've personally grown up watching the craze among people for Age of Empires (AoE) World of Warcraft ( WOW) League of Legends (LOL) After abruptly throwing away years of university education, Greg Street decided he wanted to be a computer game designer, starting out at the very bottom and working his way upwards. He started working at Ensemble Studios (Aug 1998 - Feb 2008) where he worked on Age of Empires. Later, He moved to Blizzard Entertainment (Feb 2008 - Dec 2013) and worked on World of Warcraft and then moved to Riot Games (Dec 2013 - Present ) to work on League of Legends. Greg is currently working on a MMO project for Riot.

In this episode, Zach and Steven have a talk with upcoming Atlanta rapper Shah, and kick some knowledge on advice for younger rappers getting into the game, what it means to be a "conscious" rapper, and the differences in the hip-hop landscape of his hometown of Toronto and his current home of Atlanta. A little bit about Shah: Described by Complex as Trap's Newest Star, Toronto rapper Shah has found success with his vibrantly catchy music, subtly backed by thought-provoking bars and compelling lyricism. Shah’s latest single, Just Text, has thrived in trendsetting Atlanta clubs like Magic City and on Atlanta radio, becoming the first song by a foreign artist to win 107.9FM’s influential Battlegrounds. While Just Text provides the mainstream appeal needed to captivate new fans, its lyrics forgo rap clichés in favour of poetic storytelling, reminiscent of rap’s golden era. Shah guides listeners through his journey from Toronto to Atlanta, where music industry influencers such as radio personality Greg Street and Cash Money's official DJ Swamp Izzo have embraced Shah. The support of Izzo - known for launching the careers of Gucci Mane, Future, and Young Thug - has allowed Shah to flourish despite rejecting major label deals, as he looks to become rap's first truly independent international superstar. Greg Street announced that after almost six years as Lead Systems Designer he’s calling it quits and moving on to new (as yet undisclosed) opportunities. Plus, the guys take a stroll down Memory Lane to their favorite G.C. moments. It may have been a short work week here in the U.S., but Community Manager Crithto released a huge post on gearing and stats for Warlords of Draenor. Will gearing be simplified for the next expansion, or will it be just as confusing? The guys discuss some interesting developments and what it could mean for players at the end game. A warlock from Russia (YouTube handle: Snowball) managed to solo Immerseus in the Siege of Orgrimmar raid instance! Was this flawed design, or are warlocks that overpowered? The crew weighs in with their opinions on having anyone be able to solo current content. Treckie comes fresh from DreamHack Winter and gives some great insights on raiding in a top guild, including his views on Mists of Pandaria raiding and what’s to come for Warlords of Draenor. And if you want to take your game to the next level, he’s got some stellar advice. All of that and more on a very fun show!
Atlanta Hip Hop has a rich tradition and history in radio. It begins with WIGO and WAOK and quickly became stronger in the college radio scene with stations like WRAS (Georgia State) and WREK (Georgia Tech), The Fresh Party on V103 as well as community radio WRFG. We all know about the stories of Greg Street and Frank Ski. Atlanta is blessed to have had those dynamic DJs help push the scene. This is the other side of the story, the story of DJs that year after year worked the club circuit before graduating into ATL radio. In this episode we hear stories from DJs that started their careers on these stations and others that witnessed these careers grow. We learn more about Lil Jon’s House, Reggae and Hip Hop DJing days, The Beef © between P. Diddy and Atlanta DJs and how early DJs used the radio as a springboard into the Hip Hop industry. Stories heard from: DJ Mars, Smoove Matty Matt, Brian Lassiter, Talib Shabazz, H20, DJ Jaycee, J of Earwax Records, Shannon McCollum, DJ Nabs, Marcel Daniels, DJ Applejac & DJ Mafioso. These episodes first aired on Brooklyn Radio in late 2010 and early 2011. They are being offered as a podcast, as promised, for free. The film version of this documentary is in production. Eleven was born in the Bronx, New York and literally into the world Hip Hop. At a very young age, like so many 80s babies, he was drawn to the culture. After moving to Harlem in 1995 and enduring a daunting childhood that left him fending for his daily survival, Eleven turned to hustling mix tapes on the streets of New York City to sustain his existence. While hustling mix tapes Eleven was inspired to create his own music. After making his rounds through the mix tapes circuit as a host, producer or featured artist with the likes of Whoo Kid, Babs, Dj White Owl, Ron G, Wiz Khalifa, Max Heat, Nipsey Hussle, to name a few, Eleven is ready to release his debut album Respect b4 Fame, under the guidance of Dana Dane's Def Beat Entertainment multi-media company. Eleven's debut single, “Talk My Shit”, is presently available for purchase as a digital download. When asked how he came up with the title for his CD, Respect B4 Fame, Eleven says, “I have learned to stay grounded because I understand that once the fame is gone, all I'll have is my respect.” Eleven is a gifted songwriter, arranger and producer with collaborating with tracks with Maya Azucena (Grammy winner), Marc John Jefferies (Actor/rapper – Notorious, Brown Sugar), The Delfonics, Blitz, J la P, Greg Street, and Dana Dane. Eleven continues to prove to be one of the most driven artists in the rap arena to date. He is constantly using the available technology to extend his fan base. In addition, Eleven currently has two songs playing on MUSIC CHOICE and three songs in rotation on the NBA roster. Though many try to compare him to Biggie because of his witty flow and girth, Eleven likens him self to KRS-1. He knows the struggle the teacher faced being homeless and pursuing his dream and he will not rest until he's reached his goal. Eleven believes his objective is in reach of being realized as he will soon go from homeless to household name.
