Puzzling Cartel Chips and the mystery of them leads off the Blizzard Watch Podcast this week. We're not exactly sure what the deal with them is -- hence the whole "mystery" thing -- but we're looking forward to figuring it out. Noblegarden is coming up so it's time to collect some new ducks in a six year long process, and no we're not kidding. We hope you like Joe rants because there's a doozy in this week's episode (he is stanchly anti-mythic plus boss stealth buffs). Plus, the upcoming Mists of Pandaria Classic beta has us answering conclusively that yes, we are in fact the baddies. If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Hello My Fabulous Listeners!I'm using this week's solo episode to share an update on the show's episode schedule/format! I've been releasing guest episodes for nearly 4 years, WHOA! This past Wednesday I did not as I have decided to move to bi-weekly guest episodes. I've realized I need to adjust my episode release schedule as I will be back on the road for a few months this Summer and won't have enough to release guest episodes weekly. So just a heads up that i will now release 2 guest episodes and 4 solo episodes a month. As you know keeping up this show takes a lot of time and energy and I'm figuring out a balance that works for me rather than letting it go completely. With that said, I hope you all enjoy the update along with some other personal updates and of course, a card pull!Mists of Avalon Oracle, https://www.rockpoolpublishing.com/mists-of-avalon-oracle* Women Waken Wednesdays will be held weekly on Wednesdays at 6pm PST starting in February! This is a virtual Women's group I'm holding for my beautiful listeners. I would love for you to join! Please contact me (IG or Email) for Zoom info!Donations To Women Waken To Support The Show Are Greatly Appreciated
On a dusty farm in Fruita, Colorado, September 10, 1945, a weathered farmer raises his axe, aiming for the neck of a rooster. It's a routine chore—dinner for the family. The blade falls and the head rolls away. But then, something impossible happens. The headless body doesn't flop lifeless to the ground. It staggers, rights itself, and walks away. This is no ordinary chicken. Welcome to today's tale that blurs the line between science and the supernatural, a story so strange it's haunted history for nearly eight decades. For 18 months, a chicken lived without a head leaving us wondering: was this just a freak of nature, or did something unearthly keep him going? Join us today as we venture Within the Mists of Colorado to tell of Miracle Mike. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

What's happening, horror lovers? This week on the podcast, I welcome @scotthmas83 as we sit down and discuss the 2007 horror sci-fi film adaptation of Stephen King's “The Mists”. We begin with the harrowing arrival of the mist after a violent storm, trapping David Drayton, his young son Billy, and a group of townspeople inside a supermarket. As military trucks speed through town and a bloodied man bursts in warning, “There's something in the mist!”—paranoia and primal fear take over. We break down the terrifying creature attacks, the rise of Mrs. Carmody's apocalyptic religious cult, and the failed escape attempts that drive the group toward psychological collapse. From the film's exploration of fear, faith, and human nature to its devastating ending that left audiences gasping, we discuss why The Mist remains one of the most nihilistic and emotionally jarring horror films ever made. We also unpack the film's heavy symbolism—from the dangers of religious extremism to the hopelessness that creeps in when survival feels just out of reach. Whether you love or hate that final scene, you can't deny how it affected the audience.Thank you, everyone, for your support. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out on Instagram at @so_you_like_horror or email us directly at soyoulikehorror@gmail.com. We're open to all conversations, suggestions, topics, and criticisms.

Wet Change once again has a body-swap problem on their hands. Del and Rumpleforeskin decided it would be best for everyone to just kill Shadow Nemesis today, and the Mists fast-travelled them all to the caves. Shadow Nemesis made several plans to get back into his old body, each of which ended in the same gruesome way, Tyler didn't think the plans would work but decided that Shadow Nemesis should learn that first-hand, New Rogue relayed Del's message to Shadow Nemesis to move into her gun's range, Del shot him, and he turned into a ghost. In the latest episode of "Within the Mist," hosts Gary and GoldieAnn delve into the legend of the Cadborosaurus, affectionately known as "Caddy." This cryptid is said to inhabit the coastal waters of the North Pacific, particularly around Cadboro Bay in British Columbia. The episode begins by exploring the indigenous tribes' early legends, which describe serpentine sea creatures bearing a striking resemblance to Caddy. These tales have been passed down through generations, embedding the creature deeply into local folklore.Moving forward to the 1930s, the hosts recount numerous reported sightings of Caddy. Eyewitnesses during this era described a creature with a long neck, horse-like head, and a series of humps along its back, often seen undulating through the water. These accounts contributed to a surge of public interest and speculation about the creature's existence. The episode reaches a climax with the intriguing discovery of an unidentified carcass found in the stomach of a whale. This finding reignited debates among cryptozoologists and marine biologists, as some believed the remains could be physical evidence of Caddy's existence. The hosts discuss various analyses and theories surrounding this discovery, weighing the possibilities of it being a new species or a misidentified known animal.Join Gary and GoldieAnn as they sail Within the Mists of the Cadboro Bay to bring you Caddy, the Cadborosaurus. Praises or critics can be send here! Also if there's anything you wish to hear about please send your requests here! What makes an expansion the "worst" in the history of World of Warcraft? Grab your favorite brew and join me at the Pig and Whistle Inn in Stormwind as we dissect the highs and lows of WoW's most controversial expansions. This time, we're putting Cataclysm under the microscope. Despite its bright spots like revamped Deadmines and Whaling Caverns, Cataclysm's clunky transition from classic to retail WoW left many players feeling the burn. We tackle the inconsistency in class mechanics, especially for Boomkins, and the mixed PvP and PvE experiences it offered. Although Firelands stands out as a thrilling raid, the overall erratic gameplay experience places Cataclysm at the bottom of my list. But it's not all doom and gloom—let's reminisce about some of WoW's shining moments. From Legion's epic Antorus raid to Mists of Pandaria's inventive mechanics like Symbiosis for Druids, these expansions truly evolved the game. Features like Timeless Isles and Halfhill farming added layers of excitement, enriching the WoW universe. As we transition to the Shadowlands era, we explore the controversies around its gearing system and how it influenced both the PvP landscape and player engagement. Vibrant realms and captivating raids like Castle Nathria couldn't overshadow the drag of constant gameplay requirements. Tune in for a nostalgic journey through WoW's evolving landscape and the experiences that have kept us hooked. Hope you all enjoy and hope you relate to any of these stories. There is a dark figure from Alsatian yule folklore in northeastern France. According to legend, a wealthy and greedy man became infamous for his cruelty, blasphemy, and obsession with power. He was said to have made a pact with the devil to increase his wealth and influence. Still, his wickedness eventually led to his excommunication by the Church and banishment from society.Living in exile in the forest, this lord descended into madness and evil. He began dressing as a scarecrow, stuffing his clothes with straw, and luring children into the woods, intending to harm them. However, before he could carry out his plans, he was struck down by a divine bolt of lightning.Despite his death, the legend persists that his malevolent spirit roams the countryside during Christmastime, frightening children into behaving. Like other dark Yuletide figures, he is a cautionary figure. In some tales, he accompanies Saint Nicholas to punish naughty children while Saint Nicholas rewards the good. Arcane Season 2 is a worthy continuation of the critically acclaimed first season, though it struggles to fully match its predecessor's brilliance. Season 1, celebrated as perhaps the greatest video game adaptation ever, captivated audiences with its rich storytelling and world-building. Season 2 builds on this foundation but stumbles with its hurried pacing, an overload of new characters, and reliance on montages that dilute emotional depth and scene development. Despite these flaws, the season shines through breathtaking visuals, an even more impressive soundtrack, and deeper integrations of League of Legends lore. Longtime fans of the franchise may find this chapter even more rewarding, as it enriches the universe with polished animation and memorable moments. While Season 2 feels overshadowed by the excellence of the first, it remains a triumph of storytelling and animation, ensuring its place as a must-watch for both fans and newcomers. Citizen Sleeper is a narrative-driven sci-fi RPG that blends tabletop mechanics with a deep, emotionally engaging story. You play as an escaped android worker struggling to survive on a lawless space station while evading hunters. Inspired by tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs), its gameplay revolves around time-sensitive actions and resource management, using mechanics like clocks from Blades in the Dark. Each decision carries weight, with a palpable sense of pressure as you navigate the station's challenges. The game stands out for its excellent writing, where relationships with NPCs evolve dynamically, and decisions can lead to betrayal or blackmail. The mechanics are simple, letting players focus on impactful choices while the narrative explores themes like survival in a hypercapitalist society. The aesthetic combines a retro-futuristic vibe with striking character art reminiscent of Kill Six Billion Demons. Developed by Gareth Damian Martin, Citizen Sleeper offers 6–10 hours of gameplay, with plenty of replayability. Though multiple endings are possible, the richness of each playthrough makes even a single experience deeply satisfying. A sequel is planned for release next year, building anticipation for more from this thoughtful and immersive series. The Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct celebrated the franchise's legacy with exciting updates across its games. World of Warcraft marked its 20th anniversary with new events, rewards, and expansions like The War Within and Season of Discovery. Classic players can anticipate Mists of Pandaria Classic in 2025 and nostalgic content from Cataclysm Classic. Hearthstone unveiled expansions exploring the Emerald Dream, Un'Goro Crater, and alternate-reality adventures, while Warcraft Rumble introduced “split Leaders” and announced a PC beta. Charitable efforts included the Reven Pack to support CureDuchenne. The event teased more updates, keeping fans eager for the franchise's future. Meanwhile, the Video Game Tango team expressed mixed feelings about The Game Awards. They enjoy the show's game reveals and announcements but critique the awards as often favoring popularity over merit. In their latest episode, Andy, Nick, and Josh dissect nominees for categories like Game of the Year and Best Multiplayer Game, offering insights on the awards' strengths and shortcomings. Despite criticisms, they agree the spectacle is worth watching.

I'm trying something a little new with the Divine Feminine episodes. I'm going to do a series of episodes that center fully around the themes and messages from the tarot or oracle card that I pull. I've recently acquired several new decks and as I've been eagerly exploring and getting acquainted with them I realized it would be wonderful to share that with my audience. So here we go!On this Divine Feminine solo episode I'm pulling a card from the my beautiful new Mist Of Avalon oracle deck. Arthurian folklore has a special place in my heart. I've alway been drawn to the tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. Honoring and upholding such qualities and nobility, chivalry, boldness, integrity, & sovereignty. I also have always felt that I lived past lives in the middle ages/Medieval times. Not to mention my very first deck that was gifted to me was an Arthurian Tarot deck. I hope you enjoy this new spin on the episodes, I'd love to hear your feedback! Shrouded in mystery, they were first sighted in Fresno, California, in the 2000s. Known for its distinctive appearance, the creature is described as a small, white humanoid figure with disproportionately long legs and no visible arms or torso. Captured on a home security camera, the freakish entity appears to glide eerily across lawns in the dead of night. Additional sightings and footage have since surfaced, sparking debates about its origin—ranging from extraterrestrial life to a type of unknown spirit.
