Meet your customer where they want to shop. On the latest episode of the Omnichannel Marketer, I had the pleasure of talking with Sarah McNamara, Executive Vice President & General Manager at Peter Thomas Roth Clinical Skin Care and Naturally Serious Skin.Sarah is a beauty industry veteran, having worked at Unilever, L'Oreal, and grew her own beauty brand, Miracle Skin Transformer to $35M in revenue before selling it.‍Now she oversees Peter Thomas Roth.‍Peter Thomas Roth started in a doctor's office, but is now a retail powerhouse. It was one of the first brands to launch with Sephora when it came to the US market, and also is present in Sephora locations around the world. Other key channels for Peter Thomas Roth are Ulta Beauty, Amazon, and QVC. Sarah's philosophy is that you need to be where the customer is. ‍That is highly dependent on demographics. ‍PTR is a legacy brand that historically skews to an older demographic.‍So retail and QVC are big channels for them. ‍Each channel has a unique offering for the demographic that frequents it. ‍And the spread in Ulta is very different from Sephora. ‍She loves department stores herself, but sees it as a shrinking business. ‍Beauty is constantly evolving and experiencing unprecedented digital change. ‍As Sarah says, “You snooze, you lose.” ‍To that end, PTR also has a DTC presence and is active on social media to cater to some Gen X, Z, and even Alpha customers. ‍Her team is actively tinkering with Tiktok shops. ‍She was also relatively early to Amazon, compared to Clinique, another legacy brand that only launched on Amazon a few weeks ago.‍Sarah views the DTC site as a window into the brand and is in midst of an exciting website revamp going live in August. ‍The PTR website serves loyalists, but she also realizes that every channel has its loyalists. “Some people really just want to buy on Amazon. Others only at Sephora.”‍At the end of the day, Sarah shares that good marketing is about “understanding where your customers are and making it easy for them to buy in those channels.”‍Thanks Sarah for sharing your experience and insights.

Daily Dose of Hope January 22, 2026   Scripture: 2 Thessalonians 3   Prayer:  Lord Jesus, We rejoice in you.  We praise your name.  You are the Alpha and the Omega, the one who was, and is, and is to come.  We cannot possibly express our gratitude in words.  You have offered us mercy but you have also given us freedom.  Thank you for that.  Help us live like free people.  Help us demonstrate your love and grace to others who cross our path.  Help us see people through your eyes.  We love you, Lord.  Amen.   Welcome to the Daily Dose of Hope, the devotional and podcast that complements the New Hope daily Bible reading plan.  We have been working our way through the apostle Paul's letters to his churches.  Today, we are finishing up with our third pastoral letter, 2 Thessalonians.   Our reading today was 2 Thessalonians chapter 3.  In this chapter, Paul admonishes a group in the church who are causing disruption by refusing to work. We don't know the details of the circumstances. It's possible that this group believed Jesus' second coming was imminent, so there was no need to work and earn a living. It could also be that this group found menial labor beneath them and wanted nothing to do with it. Finally, it could be a group of individuals who had grown accustomed, possibly even entitled, to the church's generosity and did not want to have to work in return. But Paul is clear: he worked and they would work too.  Whatever their motivations, this group was disruptive and creating problems within the church. They would not be allowed to take advantage of the church's generosity.   As Christ-followers, we have clear commands from Jesus to care for the least of these. Jesus fed the hungry and cared for those who had little. The early church was obviously following the example of Christ and offering food to those who asked for it. But at some point, giving can lead to entitlement.  Paul was certainly alluding to that.  Many of you know my background involves extensive work with homeless families and people in crisis. I've struggled with these issues for years, but this is basically where I've landed; we are called to care for the needy but we never want to harm others by destroying initiative or creating dependency. Historically, church outreach programs have engaged in one-directional giving, things like food giveaways, clothes closets, and soup kitchens. While there is a place for such ministry, it must be limited and targeted. Relief must be limited to times of crisis. But after the crisis is over, the kind of help needs to change.  To see meaningful change, we must address root causes, building real relationships and working with ministries that empower people to make hard but necessary long-term transformation.   Blessings, Pastor Vicki

How could they be so half-hearted towards Jesus, the Alpha and Omega, the Faithful Witness, the Amen Himself? Listen with your whole heart to discover how not to lose your fervor for God.

Synopsis The Bone Temple, in addition to what I call my bedroom is the latest installment in the 28 days later franchise. It picks up almost directly after 28 Years Later leaves off. Spike (Alfie Williams) is forced to prove himself to join the Jimmies, a sadistic cult fashioned after the media personality Jimmy Savile, led by the leader Jimmy Crystal. Meanwhile, Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) furthers his research into the rage virus and befriends Samson, the Alpha. Review of 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple I found 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple enjoyable, but not particularly meaty compared to it's predecessor. The humanity and reverence for death found in the last film are spare in this film, which mostly focuses on the chaos brought on by the jimmies, and Dr Kelson's descent into hopelessness. The Script by Alex Garland, is high quality, but unfortunately just feels like a retread of similar story lines in The Walking Dead. Nia DaCosta's Direction is respectful towards Danny Boyle's style established in the previous films in the series, while showing her own style with stylistic flair.  The standouts in the film are Jack O'connel, who played Sir Jimmy Crystal, and of course Ralph Fienes as Dr Kelson. O’Connell balances the two sides of portraying a cult leader well. Maintaining a believable facade of delusion and inspiration, while also showing the con-man manipulator that lurks behind the curtains. O'connell takes the great dialogue and makes it come alive through his performance, and is as enjoyable to watch in this as he was in Sinners. Ralph Fienes gets to play around a little more in this film. Instead of the stolid and enigmatic character from the last film, we get to see his humanity, practicality, and loneliness filled out and explored in this film. The best part of the film features him getting to display his own theatrics to the Jimmies, which left me laughing out loud. If you didn't like 28 Years Later because of the lack of zombies, you will be disappointed here as well, they play almost no part in this film with the exception of the tranquilized Samson. Overall it was highly enjoyable, although slightly less so than the last film Score 8/10

Directed by Nia DaCosta and written by Alex Garland, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple is the post-apocalyptic horror film which serves as the fourth installment in the 28 Days Later film series. It was shot back-to-back with its predecessor 28 Years Later (2025). Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) finds himself in a shocking new relationship with consequences that could change the world as he knows it, while Spike's encounter with Jimmy Crystal (Jack O'Connell) becomes a nightmare he can't escape. We break down all things orange doctor, dancing Alpha, Jimmy fingers, and Teletubbies.
