Bran can also now tank, so we can tell him "Don't stand there!" for a change. And in the new Raid - Liberation of Undermine, we help the various goblin cartels unseat Chrome King Gallywix. The Tomb of Sargeras (formerly the Temple of Elune, also spelled as the temple of Elune, and simply referred to as the Tomb) is a great structure situated on the island of Thal'dranath in the Broken Isles. The Guardian Aegwynn imprisoned the corpse of the Avatar of Sargeras in the deepest parts of the Temple, miles beneath its surface, after she defeated it 800 years ago. After centuries of having been submerged under the sea, the influence of the dark power of the Avatar worked its influence upon the halls of the Tomb, twisting it with fel energy. The Tomb was raised back to the surface by the warlock Gul'dan during the Second War, but he was torn apart by the demonic guardians within before he could claim the power contained inside the Tomb. Later still, during the Third War, the structure was visited by Illidan Stormrage in search of the Eye of Sargeras. While this was a rather long raid season, even longer than the Siege of Orgrimmar, it certainly gave us plenty of time to get things done. Better Late Than Never managed to make it to the Council, leaving them 4 of 13 to finish out.   Heroic Kiddie Aggro, and Who Pulled That ended their reign of terror with a 13/13 sweep of heroic. Horseshoes and Hand Grenades has able to take out Archimonde, making them 13 of 13 in Heroic as of April 28th. Filthy Casuals are 13 of 13 ending their killing spree on May 10th. DoA last defeated Heroic Tyrant, putting them at 12 of 13 on May 22nd. Witty & Sophisticated ended their journey by taking out Archimonde on July 10th making them 12 of 13 as they prepare for Legion. Cereal Killers decided that they liked the coziness of Zakuun's lair, choosing to hang out there until Legion, leaving them at 8 of 13. Ooka Hozen Style seemed to like that idea as well, ending their progression with Zakuun, skipping Iskar, which I don't blame them for, and ending at 7 of 13   Normal FERT, who is anything but normal, is now 13 of 13, having taken down Archimonde on July 28th. Ready Check preferred the lighting in the Council's room, ending their time there for a 4 of 13 finish.   Special Mention   Recruiting We have a number of teams recruiting for current raid content as well. For those of you who do not know, Thuggs coordinated an event in World of Warcraft that helped over 130 people obtain a special weapon from the final boss of Mists of Pandaria, Garrosh Hellscream. This weapon, called an Heirloom, levels with the player up to 100. It is also transferable to alts. AIE's Guildie of the Month program is our way to acknowledge outstanding members in our community. If you know someone who you think deserves to be recognized please send an email to officers@aie-guild.org (we are in the process of getting a new email set up, will update that as new arises). Nominations for January's GotM will be accepted until December 13th, 2014. This is a guild wide program, nominations will be accepted for members from any game division. Regardless of whether you're a fan of the franchise or not, it's hard to deny the impact the Star Wars movies have had on the world. Last week, Lucasfilm announced the next movie in the series, Episode 7 The Force Awakens, will hit the screen on December 18th, 2015. Having issues with level up followers because as soon as one follower hit 100, all missions became level 99-100? Blizzard has hot fixed the mission set up to create three brackets 90-94, 95-99, and 100. Each bracket can have 3-6 missions as long as you have a follower in that bracket. Thanks to Miy on the forums for letting us know. With membership spiking to 10 Million for World of Warcraft, AIE has seen a major influx of new and returning players thanks to Warlords- the WOW officers request your continued patience as we manage the queue. AIE EVE Online Lanctharus would like to remind all EVE players to sign up for Fleet-up. Fleet-up is the service they use to schedule corporation operations, which you can sync to your favorite desktop or mobile app, and give fleet commanders easy ways to prepare for and review missions, see what kinds of content the team can handle, see how they can improve, and more. If you're playing EVE and not in Fleet-up, you are missing out on a lot. And if you're not playing EVE,CCP released a video last week that might draw you into it. The video is called “This is EVE”, and shows off some of the high points of the game. Shot entirely in game and voiced by actual players carrying out missions, it's a pretty thrilling look at what goes on in the deep dark recesses of space. Of course WoW is the big news this week, but they're not the only game out there. There are hundreds of games, from big MMOs to Facebook games, to little mini mobile games, and AIE plays them all. AIE World of Warcraft Major kudos to Thuggs the AIE hunter for taming Gara. Gara is a cool-looking spirit wolf that came out with Warlords of Draenor, and taming it is a lot more involved than just tossing it a few scooby snacks. There's an epic quest line that takes you all over Draenor. It's probably the most involved hunter beast taming in the game. So again, way to go Thuggs, Thanks to Heirbuch for posting this reminder - Blizzard has stopped characters from earning rested experience until you log into them at least once, so if you have some lvl 90s parked someplace waiting their turn to go into the Dark Portal, be sure to log in on them at least once. If you're a little confused about Garrisons, and especially which remote outposts to choose, AIE member Miy posted a link to a “How to choose garrison outposts for leveling” guide. that walks you through all the choices for remote outposts and suggests which one you might want to pick, if your focus is on leveling. And finally, if you didn't know, Blizzard has removed the feature that awarded gold to guild banks when members are out questing and looting mobs. Because of this, we have no new gold flowing into our guild banks. We've always allowed our guild banks to be used to cover a certain amount of member's repair bills each day, but with the increased expenses from everyone leveling, and with no gold coming in, we've decided to decrease the limit you can use for repairs each day, to try to make the gold stretch a little longer before it's all gone. AIE: Star Trek Online At the Star Trek Las Vegas convention, the developers gave announcements for what's on the horizon! Cryptic has announced the Delta Rising expansion will be coming out in October, and it will include a ton of changes. The level cap will go to 60, new methods of advancement via specialization trees, many new races to encounter, and a whole lot more. AIE: Final Fantasy One of the great new benefits of our guild house in final fantasy is the gardens. Three tiny plots which we all as members expect big things from. Blizzard has launched the Alpha for the Warlords of Draenor expansion, and invites have been going out hot and heavy this week. Though blue posts admit that it is mostly blizzard community influencers that have been selected in the first wave. Don't lose heart though! More invites are sure to hit soon, and to be honest you aren't missing much, the game is super ALPHA right now.   Did you get your double valor? The double valor buff is still going strong until June 10th. In case you missed it, blizzard is rewarding double the valor for all the things! Such as dungeons, quests, boss kills, and turning in your timeless isle coins. Unfortunately they did not double the valor cap, which means that it's simply faster than ever before to get your characters to cap.   Azeroth choppers is airing their final episode starting today June 5th, announcing the winner of the community vote for best motorcycle! The winning faction will get a free mount in game! Not sure what's going to happen with the other bike, do they explode it? You don't want to miss out on the fun!!   AIE EVE For the AIE Spreadsheets in Space gang, CCP has just launched the next expansion for EVE Online, called Kronos. It comes with updated ship models and graphics, new warp in and warp out animations, new ship animations, new sounds, and a whole lot more. Also, Vailgeek has announced a major mining operation to take place this Wednesday June 11th, at 1:30am server time. Which is like, who knows local time. Apparently there's a glitch in the game, and undocking a spaceship keeps leading to it's eventual explosion, so AIEU wants to keep the cupboards stocked, and you can help!   AIE TSW AIE The Secret World is happy to announce that Tokyo is finally here! Funcom released Issue #9, “The Black Signal” this week, which brings a new chapter to the game's storyline, new AEGIS gear improvements, and the zone of Tokyo. No mention has been made of a possible giant lizard attack, but you know, it is The Secret World, so it'll probably happen.   AIE FF Guess what else updated! Final Fantasy demands to not be outdone by all this updating/beta/new episode fun, and has launched patch 2.28! If you want to see patch notes that put the other games to shame, and frankly, are crazy though, check them out! This patch makes many awesome quality of life changes such as buffing duty roulette rewards, fixing broken bits, and just plain making the menus easier to navigate.   AIE STO For the AIE Star Trek Online gang, Perfect World has announced the grand prize of this year's Riza Summer Event, which is going on right now. Players who complete the Event Reputation will earn the Riza Luxury Liner. This ship is even more customizable than last year's Riza Corvette, and comes with a powerful weapon called the Soliton Wave Generator. If you're looking to gain some notches on your PVP belt, the runs will take place immediately following their normally scheduled raids, which are at Saturday at noon Pacific and Sunday at 10am Pacific, so the PVP event start times will be some point after then, and will include Stonehenge achievements if enough people show up, or Fight Club 10k player kills if not.   AIE:STO The AIE Nomads gang will start their roam into AIE in Star Trek Online tomorrow, Friday May 9th. Capt Hunter and the rest of the AIE in STO gang are looking forward to greeting the wandering adventurers, and somehow have talked Perfect World into increasing the number of ship slots available to characters in order to celebrate. Ok, AIE probably had nothing to do with it, but it is true. Starting today, every character will have two extra ship slots available to them.   AIE: Nomads And speaking of the AIE Nomads, the most recent minor league game vote has come to a close, and the winner, for the third time, is Marvel Heroes. So if you're looking for a quick fun game to play with a bunch of AIE members, this is the one. However, the Nomads aren't known for sitting still, and Lotwook has posted that the gang is also playing World of Tanks. Now you can talk to your friends in game without being logged in!! Unfortunately there is no way to opt out of the chat client without during off the bnet client. You also can't ‘appear invisible' or offline. To update your app to get the chat simply log out and reload it. It will start updating immediately! ...or apparently it will ask you to update in a few minutes.   World of Warcraft's latest expansion, Warlords of Draenor, has just released their alpha patch notes! For you World of Warcraft players who have been looking forward to the ability to boost a character up to level 90, Blizzard has just released that option as part of the pre-order of the Warlords of Draenor expansion. Well now you can buy the expansion and get your new level 90 in time to actually get some raiding in.   AIE WOW: Hearthstone Mount Also for you WoW players, Blizzard has released a beautiful new mount, but don't get your wallets out, this mount is entirely free. All you have to do is download Hearthstone and win three games in Play or Arena mode, and you will earn the Mount Up achievement, plus get the Hearthsteed mount to fly around on in Azeroth.  This is a beautiful horse mount, with a stone body and blue ethereal wings, hooves, mane, and tail. (A little too Alliancey for my taste, but yeah, I had to get one.)   AIE WOW: Spring Craft Faire Reminder We're just one month away from the Spring Craft Faire in World of Warcraft, and thanks to the recent boost-to-90 deal from Blizzard, we've had hundreds of new level 90s join the guild over the last couple of weeks. Yes, hundreds, and they all need to get their skills up, so the craft faire captains have put out an emergency call for help. They need lots of mats to feed the hungry newbies. So if you're in the middle of the pre-expansion doldrums and have some time to kill, or just want to help out, contact the craft faire captain of your choice and see what mats they could use help with gathering.   AIE EVE: Capture of Noobtropolis Those hardy adventurers in Eve Online have had quite a month. Right after the mass migration to a new area of space last week, this week AIE, as part of the BRAVE alliance and HERO collective, have captured their first space station in null security space, and have appropriately renamed it Noobtropolis. Now their job is really just beginning, as they have to hold on to control of the station and fend off evil space people who would take it for themselves. As the name implies, AIE's new alliance is very friendly to new players, so if you've ever wanted to jump into this exciting and sometimes overwhelming space battle game, now is the perfect time.   AIE GERP: Diablo 3 Community If you've ever played Diablo 3, and who hasn't really, you may be interested to know that patch 2.0 brought Clans and Communities into the game. Of course AIE is all about community, so of course AIE has a community running in Diablo 3. Just search for “Alea Iacta Est” to join, but remember, like most AIE communities, please keep everything family friendly, and hang in there if things get rough, they're still trying to figure out how everything works.   AIE RIFT: New Stuff Coming We actually have some news from the land of AIE in Rift! Yay! Trion has just released a new Conquest map, called Steppes of Infinity, four new souls for the 2.7 expansion - Cleric, Warrior, Rogue, and Mage, a new digital gaming platform called Glyph, two new community managers, the return of Mech Week, and the extension of the Carnival of the Ascended.
