On this episode of Azeroth Roundtable Ben and Jon are joined by Koltrane to talk about changes to gear, a little bit of raiding, and dig a bit into PvP play vs. Heroes of the Storm. News: Blackrock Foundry iLevels raised!

This week, Derevka joins Pat Krane and Koltrane to talk about all things World of Warcraft! Mythic Highmaul released on Tuesday, and that means we got to see our favorite bleeding-edge teams take on the most difficult versions of the new raid encounters. And this year’s competition has been exciting, with a real worldwide race to world first. The guys have the play by play and tell you why this is so interesting. Wing 1 of Looking for Raid difficulty also released this week, and the crew has some insight as to how a few different new features to Warlords really make LFR (and raiding in general) probably the best it’s ever been. As World of Warcraft Lead Class Designer Kris Zierhut said in last week’s interview, some classes and specs got some adjustment this week before the mythic race. What are the initial findings? Do classes feel balanced enough, or is there another round of changes in the works?   Plus, a highlight of some key hotfixes, Death Knights creation requirements to go away, your questions and so much more. This week, Derevka joins Pat Krane and Koltrane for a very fun show with news direct from the Warlords of Draenor beta! Tanks have been very strong in the beta so far, and according to Chadd “Celestalon” Nervigg’s recent post, too strong. To avoid “power creep,” tanks will be getting many of their abilities reduced in effectiveness, essentially making them more squishy. Of course this will be done for all tanks, and creature damage will be reduced to offset the issues. What does this mean for tanking and healing for raiders, and will it change game play overall? Game Developers Cory Stockton and Dave Kosak joined Community Manager Josh “Lore” Allen for a live Q&A session on Twitch this week. While many of the answers revolved around leveling up with your garrisons, there were a number of things of interest to raiders.  For example, there are some interesting ways to get loot in WoD. One way is through garrison missions, where you might be able to get new gear and even upgrade the gear you already have. The other way to get the best gear in the game is through the Black Market Auction House. But what does this mean for raiders of all levels? How will those raiders on the cutting edge of progression respond? And is it the best solution to drop random raid loot outside of raid instances?   Also covered: the PAX wrapup, Proving Grounds silver now needed for random 5-man heroics on the beta, mythic raid testing, gear upgrades in 6.0, the BlizzCon virtual ticket, and more!

This week, Koltrane and Pat Krane welcome Derevka for a very fun and informative show on all the latest in World of Warcraft! Siege of Orgrimmar has been out for over six months, and  this is the longest we’ve ever had to wait for new content in the history of WoW. Was this a communication breakdown between the developers and the rest of the WoW community, did something go wrong, or is this “working as intended” according to the development plan? Blizzard has made the wait a little easier, however. This week, Blizzard announced that normal and heroic raiding were both going cross realm. Is this move so that raid teams can recruit for Mythic raiding in Warlords, or did the devs do this to try and extend the life of Siege of Orgrimmar? The crew takes a look at the pieces and give you their insights on these issues and a lot more in another jam packed show!

This week, Blizzard banned a TON of accounts (unofficial numbers in the hundreds of thousands) for botting programs that enhance gameplay, and some WoW players were caught in the crossfire. The CtR crew explains how these third party programs work, and what other programs may have been suspect. But was Blizzard biting the hand that feeds them, or is their tolerance for cheaters really that low? Ion Hazzikostas announced that Blizzard is pretty happy with the bonus roll system for loot that was developed in Mists of Pandaria, but are you? This week the guys have plenty to talk about as everyone from Blizzard seems to have finally come back from the winter break! More raiding stats are unleashed on the internet as MMO-Champion takes a look at heroic progression. Only 0.23% of active raiders have downed heroic Garrosh, but what does that mean in the scheme of things? Blizzard’s Lead Encounter Designer Ion Hazzikostas joined Twitter this week and had plenty to say about some of the upcoming plans (or lack thereof) for the future of raiding. But is short form social media a good thing for players looking to glean some insight, or is it all too much noise for the average consumer? Hazzikostas did state via Twitter that there were no plans for a raid-wide nerf in Siege of Orgrimmar. The players discuss whether (and when) they think it’s going to come, and how big of an influence Flex Raids are in the equation. Also, with the flexible raiding system and the proposed Group Finder tool for Warlords, where does LFR fit in the next expansion? The guys tell you their reasons why Blizzard needs to nerf this feature even further in the future. And… Convert to Raid is covering PvP news? Sure! Afterall, the announcement of a new PvP season could point to when the next expansion may drop. The crew updates their calendars and make new predictions based off the latest information. It was Greg “Ghostcrawler” Street’s last day last week, so how can we welcome the newest guy (Celestalon) to the forefront of the Blizzard community?  By blaming him, of course… for everything! Covert to Raid #121 - Ghostcrawler Calls It Quits! This week on CtR, Treckie from the top guild in the world (Method) joins Koltrane and Pat Krane to talk about the latest news and views from around World of Warcraft, including a big shake up at Blizzard Entertainment! Greg Street announced that after almost six years as Lead Systems Designer he’s calling it quits and moving on to new (as yet undisclosed) opportunities.  The guys discuss what Ghostcrawler has meant to the WoW Community over the years, and Koltrane’s cat left some clues as to where he might end up.  Plus, the guys take a stroll down Memory Lane to their favorite G.C. moments. It may have been a short work week here in the U.S., but Community Manager Crithto released a huge post on gearing and stats for Warlords of Draenor.  Will gearing be simplified for the next expansion, or will it be just as confusing?  The guys discuss some interesting developments and what it could mean for players at the end game. A warlock from Russia (YouTube handle: Snowball) managed to solo Immerseus in the Siege of Orgrimmar raid instance!  Was this flawed design, or are warlocks that overpowered?  The crew weighs in with their opinions on having anyone be able to solo current content. But when have we let that stop us before?  The guys catch you up on the race to world first, they prognosticate on patch 5.1 and have a little chat about LFR difficulty and what you need to know in order to clear this content.  Plus, Zhug gets a little Monky, Solarflair and Koltrane level up, and all the guys proceed to the next level of raiding!

This week, the CtR crew has another fun filled week of WoW news and entertainment for you!  A well known DK almost solos a Challenge Mode, Method speaks out about their #1 (25 man) heroic conclusion of the Mogu'Shan Vaults, 5.1 patch notes could be very interesting for some classes, and of course there are dailies, dailies, and more dailies.  We even have a great discussion on the loot systems in WoW and have a couple of ideas on how to improve them!  Solarflair steps up with his raiding schedule, Koltrane gets all hasty, and Zhug upgrades the CtR Command Center!

This week, the guys give you the latest in WoW news and entertainment, even amidst the various tech problems (which, thanks to the miracle of editing, you won't hear much of)! Paragon beats everyone to the end even though they're only a 10 man, patch 5.1 hits the PTR and the crew has some small spoilers, and The War Room makes it's triumphant return as The Stone Guard gets taken down.  Also, Zhug changes guilds, Koltrane steps in the goo, and Solarflair tanks a vicious Klaxxi in real life!

This week, the guys give away all the secrets!!! No, not really, but they do talk about reputation and dungeon grinding, Exodus being first to close the door on Mogu'Shan Vaults in normal mode, Challenge Modes, keybinding your spells and more... including a politician outed by her competitors for being a WoW player! *gasp*  Zhug makes an apology, Solarflair officially adds another raid team to lead, and Koltrane is having fun with his monk - Wokfu.  It's fast talking and high action on this jam packed show.  Check it out!
