Still reeling from the shock of this massive upset, Kez and Courtney attempt to bring order to your world and explain what happened when the posterboy of British boxing Anthony Joshua faced unfancied Andy Ruiz Jr. Promoter Eddie Hearn wanted to make a fight that would live long in the memory --and it did, but perhaps for the wrong reasons. And even in his worst nightmares he could not have envisaged what went down, as 'Dad bod' Ruiz delivered a sterling performance and knocked out the previously undefeated Joshua --and took his 4 Championship belts. Ruiz is now Heavyweight champion of the world, making history in the process by becoming the first Mexican to do so. We salute! In episode 8 of Before the Bell we first review the young undefeated prospect Devin Haney in his standout performance against Antonio Moran. Then in Part 2 we delve deep into the Big One - the main event next weekend: Anthony Joshua vs. Andy Ruiz. In Before the bell Episode 7 Courtney and I get straight to the business of discussing the weekend's biggest boxing match. Ending with a crunchy knockout that made a sound that seemed to reverberate around the entire planet as the crowd gasped in awe. Deontay Wilder vs Dominic Breazeale had been brewing for a while, with lots of animosity between the two fighters. And as we predicted last week it was the Bronze Bomber from Alabama (looking like a character from Game of Thrones) that achieved his 20th first round knockout and almost sent his opponent to the morgue -- just as he threatened to. In other news - Billy Joe Saunders fought to a packed arena against Shefat Isufi. We marvel at yet another clinical display from the undefeated 29yr old. Plus news and quick mentions.

In Episode 6 of Before the Bell, Courtney and I return to tell you a tale of 2 Brutal knockouts. One featuring previously Undefeated Bellator Phenom Michael Venom Page, and the other delivered by a Brazilian female nicknamed 'The Piledriver' In Bellator 221 - Chandler vs. Pitbull. MVP undefeated after 14 MMA contests suffers a devastating loss with a brutal fight ending sequence worth watching again and again. And Again. We show the victor Douglas Lima some love and ponder what next for this former Champion. UFC 237 provided its own sickening finish in the title Fight between Thug Rose Namajunas 'The Ballerina' and Jessica Andrade 'The Piledriver' which left the defeated Rose in doubt as to her future in the sport. With MMA covered we turn our attention to Boxing and go deep on Hurd vs Williams, which delivered a result not many expected. Then we preview the weeks ahead with Knockout specialist Deontay Wilder in action and The Infamous Billy Joe Saunders fighting at a sold out stadium. A packed show indeed.

In todays show we go deep on Canelo v Jacobs. The Big Event of the weekend from the Home of Combat Sports --Las Vegas. Canelo Alvarez from Mexico vs Daniel Jacobs from Brownsville NY. Both fighters came from tough backgrounds and have risen to the top of the middleweight division. Canelo the Superstar of Golden Boy has all the belts and was looking to pick up another -- Daniel Jacobs' IBF crown. This fight would create a unified champion of sorts - one man to rule them all. We also review UFC Fight Night 151 Cowboy - Iaquinta, featuring the man with the most wins in UFC history. Plus women's MMA Invicta Championship. Then we Preview UFC 237 - Thug Rose Namajunas - Andrade, HURD v Williams, Douglas Lima vs. Michael Page. Finally a real opponent for MVP. To finish, we have a shout out to a very deserving Hall of Fame recipient.

But even in boxing there were fireworks in the heavyweight bout featuring British young talent Daniel Dubois. Next up we talk Adesanya vs. Gastelum and delve into the Israel "Stylebender" Adesanya hype machine and discuss why the Nigerian/New Zealander is indeed special. But Kelvin Gastelum has been surging up the rankings after solid recent performances and the Yuma, AZ native is known for derailing hype trains after smashing the scary Uriah Hall. Boxing fans rejoice as we also review the Errol Spence Jr/Garcia championship boxing match, scoring both fighters and rating the fight.
