Olympiacos took care of business in the Karaiskakis, claiming 3 points and keeping its UCL knockout hopes alive. The team looked like a completely different side than the one that caused so much disappointment in the loss against Paok. Ari reacts to the win and what it means for the transfer window and the rest of the season.

Hosts Dave and Joe ring in 2026 with holiday anecdotes, family gatherings, snowy driveway battles, and favorite comfort foods. They review Wicked 2. The episode also covers big headlines — Jake Paul's brutal fight with Anthony Joshua, Merriam‑Webster's 2025 word of the year “slop,” China's new tax on contraceptives, a cruise ship incident, and an eye‑opening (and very odd) government list of items found in people's rectums — plus a Pokémon vs. narcotic quiz and a quirky Venus fact to close out the show.
The end of the season came with a thud in Pittsburgh as rookie kicker Tyler Loop's 44-yard field goal sailed wide right and the Baltimore Ravens now move into an 8-9 season with a myriad of questions about the future of leadership. THE TET OFFENSIVE AND THE SIEGE OF KHE SANH Colleague Geoffrey Wawro. In 1968, North Vietnamlaunched the Tet Offensive to deliver a knockout blow; while a military disaster for the communists, the televised breach of the US Embassy shattered American claims of progress and turned public opinion. Simultaneously, the siege of Khe Sanh symbolized the war's futility, as US forces fought fiercely to hold the base only to abandon and bulldoze it shortly after the battle concluded. These events led trusted figures like Walter Cronkite to declare the war a stalemate, convincing President Johnson that he had lost the support of middle America. NUMBER 12

Morning Espresso for January 1, from the SDH Network.
Former Steelers QB Charlie Batch returns in advance of the Ravens return to Pittsburgh in a battle for the AFC North crown to give Nestor insights on the final stand of Aaron Rodgers, the Lamar Jackson injury and ways that the favored Ravens can come to The Confluence and eliminate Mike Tomlin with Derrick Henry pounding the ball and Snoop Huntley playing the quiet reserve role that he once made famous in the Steel City. Welcome to the Fight Night Podcast with me, Andy Clarke, alongside former European champion Spencer Oliver. This week, it's our Fight Night Boxing 2025 Awards, as we look back on the biggest moments, the standout performances, and the fights that defined a memorable year in the sport. We kick things off with the biggest debate of all - Fighter of the Year. Does the crown belong to Terence Crawford? Oleksandr Usyk? Or is there another name that deserves top spot? Next up, it's Knockout of the Year, celebrating the jaw-dropping finishes that reminded us exactly why boxing always delivers drama. Then we turn our attention to Fight of the Year. From Conor Benn vs Chris Eubank Jr to Artur Beterbiev against Dmitry Bivol, 2025 gave us some absolute classics - but which bout stands above the rest? After that, we zoom out to the bigger picture. Joined by Spencer Oliver and Owen, the Boxing Fan, we debate the state of the sport. Does boxing need to change with the times, or should tradition always come first? And finally, we take a moment to pay tribute to some of the great names the boxing world sadly lost this year. That's all for this edition of the Fight Night Podcast with me, Andy Clarke, and Spencer Oliver. Enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Welcome to the 2025 Award Show. We start with fight breakdowns. In this episode, we break down Saturday morning's telecast from Saudi Arabia. In the main event, Naoya Inoue rather effortlessly defeated David Picasso. It was a showcase of Inoue's great timing and reflexes, but Picasso proved to be a tough foe, hanging on until the final bell. Yet, the story of the night was Junto Nakatani. Nakatani defeated Sebastian Hernandez, but the result left many with more questions than answers. The fight was close, closer than any Nakatani had as a pro prior. Nakatani opted to fight on the inside at times, a difficult move. Some thought Hernandez won, some thought Nakatani won, as did the judges. In the end, the mega-fight between Inoue and Nakatani has taken a massive hit. Also, Erdison Garcia upset previously unbeaten Taiga Imanaga, and IBF flyweight champion Masamichi Yabuki made his second title defense, knocking out Felix Alvarado in 12 rounds. Next week, we get one fight card from Puerto Rico. Amanda Serrano will face Reina Tellez in a 10-round women's title fight broadcast on DAZN. This will be Serrano's first fight against an opponent named Katie Taylor since the summer of 2024. Tellez will be taking a major leap up in competition as she faces the toughest opponent of her career, replacing Erika Cruz. Other notable bouts on the undercard, Stephanie Han, a women's lightweight titleholder, will face legend Holly Holm, who will not just be battling Han, but father time itself. Holm, now in her 40s, is a boxing pioneer who became a legend for knocking out Ronda Rousey. She looks to win a title in the twilight of her career. Notables on the undercard include Yankiel Rivera, Jan-Paul Rivera, Henry Lebron, and Ebanie Bridges. Anthony Joshua knocked out Jake Paul in the main event of Friday's Paul vs. Joshua fight card in Miami — a result that seemed to be as close to a unanimous prediction as you'll see in combat sports. However, Paul was able to make it to the sixth round before the eventual finish that left Paul's jaw broken, and with Joshua's hand raised. Despite the win, does Joshua's legacy take any kind of hit with the fight lasting as long as it did? Following the boxing event that streamed on Netflix, MMA Fighting's Mike Heck and Jed Meshew react to the card, Joshua's finish of Paul and where their stocks go, and what could be next for both fighters moving forward. Additionally, topics include grading the entire event as a whole, Anderson Silva ending the night as the star of the event with a knockout of fellow former UFC champ Tyron Woodley, and much more. Saturday, December 20: Knockout by FiredUp Network
Every day the people who broadcast the news to us have to decide what's going to be big news and what's going to be little news. The big news they talk about first. And the little news may not get mentioned at all. Unfortunately, there are often disasters that occur every day, and they may or may not be big news. Most disasters produce casualties, but casualties are sort of little news. That means people just got hurt. Then there are fatalities. And when there are fatalities, well, sadly, that makes it big news - somebody was killed. The fatality factor seems to propel news to page one. The story of Christmas has a casualty in it, a fatality and a champion. I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about "The Christmas Knockout." Now, I know you thought this was about Christmas and it is. But we're suddenly going to be in the Garden of Eden for a minute with our word for today from the Word of God which is in Genesis 3:15. The great tragedy; perhaps the greatest tragedy of history has just taken place as Adam and Eve have chosen to disobey God. Sin has entered a perfect world, and God is already talking about the solution. He speaks to the serpent, who is the Devil, and says, "I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your offspring and hers. He (that's her offspring) will crush your head and you (that's the serpent) will strike his heel." Did you know that Christmas began in the Garden of Eden? The answer for sin began at the moment sin entered the world. Because God says here there will come a man ultimately descended from Adam and Eve - from the very people who perpetrated sin in the world - a man will come who will crush the serpent. Notice the verbs here. It says the serpent, Satan, will strike the heel of the Messiah who will come. Satan's going to be able to hurt the Redeemer. That happened at the cross. But it was canceled three days later when Jesus Christ walked out of His grave. But notice what the Redeemer is going to do to the serpent - crush his head. That's the difference between a casualty and a fatality. When the Redeemer comes, Satan will receive a death blow He says. You need to know that the Devil, for all of his interference in your life right now, is a dead man. Colossians 2:15 says "Christ disarmed the powers and the authorities, and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross." If you're in Christ, if you belong to Jesus, the most the Devil can do is to wound you. You may be a casualty, but thank God you will never be a fatality. Satan tried over and over again to wipe out the Messianic line - the family from which Jesus would come. And then he tried to wipe out all the babies that were the age of baby Jesus. It didn't work. He's beaten! Why would you ever let the Devil or his people beat you or intimidate you? God has entered human history in person. Everywhere Jesus went the forces of darkness surrendered. Everywhere Jesus goes now through your life, those forces of darkness still must surrender. So, Christmas isn't just a warm and fuzzy little story about a baby in a stable and a star. In the battle for human lives, in the battle you're facing today, Christmas is God's knockout punch.

Trump and his Administration won't rest until he punishes the poor and hungry in America to death, first lying to a federal judge that they couldn't make “Immediate” partial SNAP anti hunger payments to 42 million Americans for their November food benefits (they could and did in just hours); and then after paying out partial payments, running to the United States Supreme Court to demand an emergency stay so they can continue to screw impoverished Americans out of the rest of the anti starvation payments. Presidential Ambition and the 1980 Victory: From Farm Hand Friendship to the "There You Go Again" Knockout. Max Boot discusses Ronald Reagan running for president, first challenging incumbent Gerald Ford in the 1976 Republican primaries. Reagan narrowly lost the New Hampshire primary to Ford by about a thousand votes, but won the hearts of the convention with a graceful and moving speech delivered in defeat. After Ford lost to Jimmy Carter, Reagan spent the years between 1976 and 1980 returning to his "first love": radio. Despite his 1976 loss and his age (69), Reagan decided to run again in 1980, driven by personal ambition. Reagan loved going to his ranch outside Santa Barbara on weekends, where he enjoyed physical labor and preferred associating with ranch hands, former California state policemen Dennis LeBlanc and Barney Barnett, over the magnates with whom he was often photographed. The 1980 campaign was initially managed by John Sears, but Reagan fired him on the day of the New Hampshire primary, and Nancy brought in Bill Casey as campaign chairman. Casey was later implicated in the alleged "October surprise," and Boot found strong evidence this "probably happened," though the culpability rested with Casey, not Reagan. The campaign remained close through the summer, but the gap opened up weeks before Election Day primarily because of the late October debate, where Reagan delivered the famous rhetorical knockout blow, "There you go again," winning him the debate and the election.
