On this episode of Conduct Detrimental: THE Sports Law Podcast, Dan Lust (@SportsLawLust) is joined by Mike Lawson (@Mikesonoflaw) and Mike Kravchenko (Watch on YouTube) to reunite for a Mike & Mike edition tackling the latest sports law stories of the week. The trio opens with Sophie Cunningham, who's had a busy two weeks. First up is the report that the WNBPA has barred licensed partners from using Cunningham's viral 22-second "pointing" gesture on merchandise. Mike Lawson breaks down the group licensing agreement with Fanatics and other partners, why the union is calling player-on-player confrontation imagery "derogatory." From there, the conversation turns to Cunningham's recent on-record comments on trans athletes in women's sports — published, notably, the same weeks the licensing story broke — and whether the WNBA's continued silence, contrasted against the UFC's swift public denunciation of Josh Hokit's White House-card comments, says something about where the league actually stands on its most talked-about players.Mike K then catches everyone up on the ongoing Stefon Diggs litigation against Christopher Griffith, including the discovery fight over Instagram and iMessage records, and why newly produced travel-booking and phone-log evidence could push the case from civil into criminal territory. Mike Lawson follows with the NFL's indefinite suspension of Cardinals college scout Ryan Gold for allegedly leaking non-public draft information — the parlay bets that allegedly cashed off it, and Dan's tangent on why family members are so often the weak link in gambling-policy violations. From there, the show dives into the LeBron James "Decision 2.0" saga playing out in real time on Kalshi — the Miami Heat's since-scrutinized "introductory press conference" livestream dated July 27th, the wild odds swings that followed, and much much more. Dan also shares his own market position on when the announcement will actually come. The episode closes with Dustin Poirier's arrest for public intoxication, Bud Light's same-day termination of his endorsement deal, and a deep dive into morals clauses — why Poirier's other sponsors have stood by him, and what that says about leverage in athlete endorsement contracts. Plus, what to watch for: Aaron Donald's potential NFL return and Dan's UFC futures bet on the middleweight title picture.Let us know your thoughts!***Have a topic you want to write about? Caleb Poirier recounts his story of how he saw God use every encounter in his life to create a need that only He could answer. He recounts how God used all kinds of people -- Christian parents, fellow missionaries, and two high-school teachers who took time to invest -- to demonstrate what a godly life looks like. But to make this faith and these values his own, it took investing a community, spending two years alone on the road working on turbines, a 2 am custodial shift, and a broken engagement. In all this, God was faithful, and He "can be trusted to work all things out for His glory."

It's an art, and a science. And something we don't talk about enough in fashion. What do the physical properties of the fabric mean for the physical support of the body? We can read the info on the fabric header like the fiber content, stretch percentage, knit or weave structure, and gsm weight, but do we know how to use those to our advantage to achieve the look and feel we want in a garment? The data is structured, but the answers are squishy. Today's guest, Karen Poirier, proved it is possible to engineer a garment – using the physics, fabric properties, and seam structure – for a feeling. Her brand, Embargo, re-engineers support for full-busted women with bra-alternatives that prioritize comfort and wellbeing. In episode 134, we talk about the engineering that went into their Full Support Bra-Free Top and discover what good fit looks like for Embrago. Karen Poirier, the visionary designer behind Embrago (em-BRA-go), is transforming women's fashion with her innovative and sustainable approach. Embrago is more than just a clothing line; it's a movement towards ethical and compassionate living that empowers women to embrace a minimalist fashion footprint. For Karen, sustainability means creating multifunctional pieces that adapt to the natural changes in a woman's body. After years of managing a fuller bust through the changes of pregnancy, breastfeeding, and midlife, she dedicated herself to developing a bra-alternative that supports overall health and comfort without compromising on style. Her patented Body Responsive Fit™ system uses a new approach to built-in bust support that feels like a gentle embrace and ensures a perfect fit every day. This re-imagined system eliminates the pain and discomfort caused by traditional bras and automatically adapts to a woman's body changes as she experiences hormone and weight fluctuations, from pre- to post-menopause. Embrago's designs are crafted to be versatile, reducing the need for excess consumption. Each piece is ethically produced in small batches, using the softest organic cotton and high-quality materials that prioritize both the planet and personal well-being. Karen's mission is clear: to empower women to feel confident and comfortable, while also benefitting their health and the environment. Through Embrago, Karen is not only reshaping fashion categories but also transforming the way women think about getting dressed, encouraging mindful choices for a more sustainable future. What we learn about fit in this episode: Fitting the people How Embrago creates support without restriction for full-busted women The moment Karen knew that the product was finished The mindset shift that happens when women start wearing Embrago Fitting the performance Why Karen focused on seams in a market category that typically favors seamless construction How to use the grainline of the fabric strategically for the garment's function Fitting the purpose How Embrago helps women break free from the social pressure to hide or compress a larger chest Why Karen started Embrago in the first place Fitting the production The factors that went into Embrago's pricing The fit-testing process for this innovative product People and resources mentioned in this episode: Embrago website Embrago Instagram Embrago Youtube Embrago email Karen's LinkedIn Do you want fashion business tips and resources like this sent straight to your inbox? The ACOG recommends a multimodal approach to postoperative pain that includes nonsteroidal NSAIDs, acetaminophen, and opioids. Ketorolac is a favored NSAID for postop pain control. However, the optimal dose of ketorolac after cesarean delivery has not been determined. In this episode, we will summarize a brand new randomized, controlled, single-blind trial of pregnant women undergoing cesarean delivery under regional anesthesia at a large academic medical center between June 2022 and October 2023. Enrolled participants were randomized to receive an initial loading dose of 60 mg (intervention) or 30 mg (control) of intravenous ketorolac in the operating room at the end of surgery.1. On todays show Scott is joined DTV expert Matt Poirier (DTVC podcast) to talked about forgotten Natasha Henstridge/Christopher Lambert sci-fi actioner "Adrenalin: Fear the Rush."Over the course of the episode Matt gives us his insight into the career of late DTV favourite director Albert Pyun while we also get into this particular feature productions battle (namely the 110 minute directors cut being slashed to a mere 76) and it's difficult. Plus, we wonder what Natasha Hendstrige's career could have been with a few different decision as well as celebrating our man Lambert for being his usual cool self (even if his character is kind of useless here). You can check out all of Matt's great work on DTV films here"All '90s Action, All The Time" is Produced & Edited by Scott Murphy. An event as wholesome as Dustin Poirier's farewell fight deserves a show just as impactful — so Jim and Matt bring in two people who know “The Diamond” better than most to help unpack all the emotion and action of UFC 318. First, American Top Team head coach Mike Brown shares what it was like cornering Dustin for the final time, reflecting on their journey together from shared fight cards to title runs — and what made Saturday night in New Orleans so unforgettable despite the loss to Max Holloway. Between interviews, Jim and Matt talk through some of their predictions before Lafayette's own Alan Jouban hops on to put a bow on UFC 318. Jouban offers his perspective on the crowd, atmosphere, and standout performances throughout the card. It's a full-circle episode that wraps up UFC 318 the right way.
