Boxing is ABSOLUTELY ON FIRE and this episode of Ringside Reporter covers one of the wildest weeks in combat sports history! We break down the massive PBC Pay-Per-View card headlined by Isaac "Pitbull" Cruz vs Lamont Roach for the Interim WBC Super Lightweight title, plus huge championship drama, shocking news, and future superfights that could shake the sport to its core! We dive deep into the O'Shaquie Foster vs Stephen Fulton controversy after Fulton MISSES WEIGHT, and what that means for the WBC Super Featherweight title picture. Plus, Erislandy Lara continues his ageless run against Johan Gonzalez, while Jesus Ramos vs Shane Mosley Jr. and Frank Martin vs Rances Barthelemy add serious heat to the undercard. Internationally, the spotlight shifts to Australia as Jai Opetaia defends his IBF Cruiserweight title against Huseyin Cinkara, with massive implications for the global cruiserweight division. But the real fireworks come from the NEWS AND RUMORS:
Ich will gegen Deontay Wilder kämpfen“, sagte Usyk gegenüber Boxing King Media. Rückblick: Jai Opetaia vs. Huseyin Cinkara Sarah Scheurich vs. Lani Daniels Temur Mamoyan vs. Djuar El Scheich Peter Kadiru vs. Selcuk Tezer Isaac Cruz vs. Lamont Roach Erislandy Lara vs. Johan Gonzalez Stephen Fulton vs. O’Shaquie Foster Vorschau: Imam Khataev vs. Adam Deines Kubrat Pulev vs. Murat Gassiev Bakhodur Usmonov vs. Maxi Hughes Vadim Musaev vs. Tulani Mbenge Kastriot Sopa vs. Eugeniusz Makarczuk Ardian Krasniqi vs. Gaspar Fernandez Badou Jack vs. Norair Mikaeljan Diego Pacheco vs. Kevin Lele Sadjo Gabriel Flores Jr. vs. Joe Cordina News: Granit Shala vs. Petar Milas & Simon Zachenhuber vs. Anthony Zaulig auf Undercard von Kabayel gegen Knyba. In this episode, we talk a bit about boxing in two ways. For starters, we recap heavyweight Deontay Wilder's win over Tyrrell Anthony Herndon on Friday. Followed by Jake Paul's unanimous decision win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., this was followed by a conversation about Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez, who made a unified title defense against Yuniel Dorticos on the MVP pay-per-view card. The undercard saw a few things of note: lightweight Floyd Schofield had a star-making performance by stopping Tevin Farmer in one round, Julian Rodriguez revived his career with a 10th-round knockout of Avious Griffin, and deep on the undercard, Rene Alvarado upset unbeaten Victor Morales. Also, super middleweight Christian Mbilli proves once again to be a serious dude, stopping Maciej Sulecki in one round. This is followed by a brief preview of the two fights this week: Sergiy Derevyanchenko returns on Tuesday as a part of CountryBox, and Jack Catterall faces Harlem Eubank at welterweight. Then, we do the mid-year awards:Those are Fighter of the Year, Fight of the Year, Prospect of the Year, Contender of the Year, Trainer of the Year, Round of the Year, and Upset of the Year.As always, if you enjoy the show, tell a friend to tell a friend.Timestamps 0:00 Jake Paul-Julio Cesar Chavez Jr15:00 Zurdo Ramirez22:00 Raul Curiel, Julian Rodriguez30:30 Floyd Schofield stops Tevin Farmer35:00 Rene Alvarado wins40:40 Michal Cieslak42:40 Deontay Wilder49:55 Christian Mbilli52:17 Jack Catterall-Harlem Eubank54:15 Mid-Year Awards

Coming up Friday night in Wichita, Kansas, former WBC heavyweight champ Deontay Wilder returns after a year long layoff and back to back losses in a comeback bout. But, before he enters the ring he spoke with our insider Dan Rafael about his return against little regarded Tyrell Herndon on PPV.com etc. They discuss his losses by decision to Joseph Parker and brutal KO defeat to Zhelei Zhang last May that have all but ended his career at the championship level. Or, did they? Can Wilder regain the form (and big punch) that made him one of the stars of the sport in the 2010s with several spectacular KOs? Will Herndon be able to challenge him at all? And, if Wilder does win, is a possible bout with former unified heavyweight champ Anthony Joshua down the road, as well?Hear "The Bronze Bomber" in his own words on this 'Fight Freaks Unite Podcast" with Dan and make sure to follow/subscribe to this feed on Apple/Spreaker/Spotify, etc.!
A big week for hardcore boxing. We saw WBO welterweight champ Brian Norman knock out Jin Sasaki. Is he the best guy at the division now that Jaron "Boots" Ennis has moved up in weight? Then, we talk about Francisco Rodriguez defeating Galal Yafai. Rodriguez is a lower-weight legend who has been underrated, while Yafai, a 2020 British Olympic gold medalist, is in career limbo. Callum Walsh cut, but wins his fight against Elias Espadas. Welterweight Vernon Brown knocked out Gor Yeritsyan, handing the Armenian fighter his second loss in less than 12 months. The Top Rank card saw Vito Mielnicki Jr win in a hometown fight, but the story of the card was Jahi Tucker defeating Lorenzo "Truck" Simpson. Tucker is a capital G Guy and probably the prospect of the year? Also, Canelo Alvarez-Terence Crawford press tour has started. This week....Liam Paro faces Jonathan Navarro in the middle of the week from Australia. On Friday, Deontay Wilder will face Tyrrell Herndon. The fight is on PPV.com and features Deon Nicholson and Nico Hernandez on the undercard. On Friday on ESPN+. Christian Mbilli will fight Maciej Sulecki. This is a good fight. Undercard notables are Moreno Fendero and Wyatt Sanford. On Saturday, the event of the week is Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on pay-per-view. The co-feature is unified cruiserweight titleholder Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez facing Yuniel Dorticos. A strong undercard consists of a welterweight showdown between Avious Griffin-Julian Rodriguez, a lightweight bout between Floyd Schofield-Tevin Farmer, 10 rounds, the welterweight return of Raul Curiel, a women's lightweight bout between Holly Holm and Yolanda Vega. The depth continues deeper on the card with junior bantamweight John "Scrappy" Ramirez, a sink-or-swim fight for Victor Morales vs. Rene Alvarado, a bantamweight step-up fight between Alexander Gueche vs. Vincent Avina, Welterweight Joel Iriarte and junior flyweight Naomy Valle are also featured. UFC Des Moines is in the books, and I break down Reinier de Ridder vs. Bo Nickal—including whether it's fair to call Nickal overrated, how high de Ridder should climb in the rankings after his win, and my issue with Nickal's approach. Also, what's next for Cory Sandhagen after defeating Deiveson Figueiredo? Then, Charles Oliveira's coach says Oliveira would prefer a fight with Ilia Topuria over Islam Makhachev—I'll tell you why I like that idea. Plus, as we gear up for UFC 315 this weekend, I explain why Jack Della Maddalena is playing with house money. And some rare public comments from Arman Tsarukyan, who revealed he turned down a rematch with Mateusz Gamrot. And finally, I'm keeping my feud with Deontay Wilder alive as he continues to promote a crossover MMA/boxing match with Francis Ngannou. I remind him why that's stupid. To support this program, please leave me a review on Apple Podcasts or submit a rating on my Spotify page.CHAPTERS:de Ridder vs. Nickal recap (00:00)What happened with Nickal?
