Queen's University Biology professor, Daniel Lefebvre, accepts the QUAA Excellence in Teaching Award. The Alumni Award for Excellence in Teaching, initiated in 1975, is Queen's first campus-wide teaching honour. Established at the urging of students, the $5,000 award recognized Queen's teachers who "show outstanding knowledge, teaching ability, and accessibility to students".

Shelagh Rogers, Artsci'77 accepts the QUAA Alumni Humanitarian Award. The Alumni Humanitarian Award is presented to a Queen’s alumna/alumnus in recognition of distinguished work or volunteer service, at home or abroad, which has made a difference to the well-being of others.

Dr. Alfred Bader, Sc'45, Arts'46, MSc'47, LLD'86 and Dr. Isabel Bader, LLD'07 accept the 2013 QUAA Alumni Achievement Award at the 2014 QUAA Alumni Awards Gala. This award is the highest honour bestowed by the Queen's University Alumni Association. Presented annually to an alumna/us who has demonstrated the high ideals imparted by a Queen’s University education through significant lifetime contributions to one or more of the following: the arts or sciences; public service; leadership in business, industry or a profession; community, charitable or volunteer work.

Queen’s campus hummed with activity May 27-29 when alumni celebrating a milestone anniversary (from 1941 to 2006) returned for Spring Reunion. Several classes participated in a Re-convocation ceremony in Grant Hall, presided over by Queen’s Principal Daniel Woolf and Chancellor David Dodge. All alumni taking part donned convocation gowns and hoods to relive their graduation from Queen’s. Alumni celebrating a 50th anniversary received commemorative medals at the ceremony.

Queen's University's Re-convocation Ceremony took place in historic Grant Hall in the heart of Queen's campus. This event is the central feature of Queen's official reunion weekend "Spring Reunion". This high-profile event is for all returning milestone Classes and is hosted by Queen's Principal and Chancellor. The event also features Queen's senior administration, Faculty Deans, local government dignitaries, celebrity speakers and more. At the event, re-convocating alumni receive a certificate of achievement. In addition, all alumni celebrating a 50th reunion receive special recognition and a 50 year medal.

The Queens Centre is the new home of student life and club space, and athletics facilities.
