History of Astrology In this episode I am joined by astrologer Lars Panaro where we discuss the history of astrology. The actual date of origin of astrology is actually much far than what we know of. There is no end of science and there is no limit to discoveries and inventions. Similarly, history is the backward road where we can go further back as far as we can and the truth is we end up finding something new every time. That is what historians have proved all these years and we really don’t have the exact dates of the origins of astrology. Vedas are believed to very old where there are mention of Nakshatras in Nakshatra Suktas where there are Sanskrit hymns that deal with all the nakshatras and their rulers. Likewise, Vedas also said about Navagraha Sukta where there is mention of planets and their basic characteristics and tendencies. Proving the existence of Nakshatra astrology in India, we have two of the greatest epics called Ramayana and Mahabharatha. Ramayana took place sometime around 7000 B.C which is the story of good and the evil. Lord Rama was born to Dasaratha, Kind of Ayodhya, a small town in contemporary North Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. King Dasaratha, father of Lord Rama, was told by one of the sages that the planetary positions are not favourable to a ruling king. They had said to Dasaratha that his birth star was about to be afflicted by Sun, Mars and Rahu which is detrimental and fatal to a ruling king. Since his birth star was afflicted, Dasaratha decided to step down and swear in Rama as a king by hosting a formal “Pattabhishekam” (swearing in of a king) ceremony. All these dind’t happen and Rama was forced toi choose exile. Dasaratha dind’t retire from lordship. When the Celestial movements came together, Dasaratha passed away.Mahabharatha also has a proof for the existence of astrology in the form of Sahadeva, the youngest of Pandavas was a great astrologer and he was able to surprise and impress Krishna with his predictions. Sakuni adviced Duruyodhana (Gauravas) to get favourable muhurtha fixed by Sahadeva to start the war of Kurukshetra. Even though Sahadeva was one of the Pandavas, he gave a Muhurtha to initiate the war which was in favour of Gauravas. However there was a spoilsport played by Krishna which forced the war to be started a day prior to the actual Muhurtha fixed by Sahadeva. The rest is Mahabharata as well all know. To be precise with reference to today's context, Sahadeva did an Electional chart for the greatest war ever. Lars continues to talk about the other significances of Indian traditions and Persian traditions. If you want to find out more works about Lars Panaro, please visit larspanaroastrology.com. There will be a detailed article in the next issue of the Celestial Vibes e-Magazine. To subcribe to the future issues and to purchase previous issues, please visit www.theabverdict.com/store

Frank.C.Clifford is a multifaceted personality in the astrological community who dons the role of a consultant astrologer/palmist, publisher, author, writer, teacher and editor. Being a psychological astrologer, Dr. Laura Tadd is super passionate about helping people realize their own potential. With a PhD in Human Science, Dr. Tadd was just continuing her childhood passion about which she talks about in this episode. Now that Psychological Astrology is a very significant diagnostic tool helping humans find a significant path in their life to attain self realization, it was necessary to connect with Dr. Laura Tadd, a psychological astrologer with www.mythicsky.com to educate us on the planetary impacts and effects on a native’s behavioral attributes and traits. In this episode we discuss psychological astrology and the significance of learning a person’s mindset in order to do a reading and guide the native. Learning and transformation are a part of this discussion along with experiences of dealing with narcissistic personalities. People sometimes tend to get over influenced by others and forget their own self. This personality trait has also been discussed in this episode. Dr. Tadd also discusses about her UAC speech on "Stellar Parenting - Parent - Child relationship in Astrology” and her passion in this topic.
Insight to Inside with Lars PanaroLars Panaro is a versatile astrologer who makes use of various forms of traditional astrology, tarot cards and omens. In this episode, I discuss with Lars Panaro about consultations/readings. Many of us as astrologers easily get carried away by the technical aspects of the planetary placements and we start talking about it when we are in a consultation. However, a reading or a consultation is pretty much about educating the client and giving clarity to what life has in store. It is all about giving a vision to near and far future. At times, the astrologers tend to talk too much about the technical aspects like conjunctions, hard aspects, nakshatras and cycles which are complete jargons to the clients who might not have any idea of all those. This episode is largely about what, how and why the astrologers have the responsibility to educate the clients.
