Faith. Friends. Fun. Welcome to Convos with Kate! This is a podcast where I have conversations with some of my favorite people, as well as talk individually about all things faith, friends and fun. Thanks for listening!
In this episode, we recall my unmedicated (FTM) labor & delivery story of our favorite little guy! :) My hope in sharing this experience is 1. to encourage any pregnant mamas (or soon to be) out there who desire a 100% natural birth, but aren't quite sure what it would be like, or doubt whether they had the strength to accomplish it. And 2. I just personally wanted to be able to recall the details of this day and share with any friends and family members for years to come. :)In short, I'd say the top 3 things that contributed to our wonderful experience are:1. Trust God's design for childbirth. He literally created your body to birth babies!!!2. Take Karen Welton's Pain Free Birth Class (mindset preparation is KEY)3. Choose the right provider-- one who supports your desires for a natural birth and who loves childbirth at its core! The right energy in your birthing room is crucial. We absolutely LOVED Alba Birth Center (if you're in northern Wisconsin) or find midwives with similar values, if you're out of state! NATURAL BIRTH IS COOL. :) I hope you enjoy this episode and are encouraged. Whether this is your first birth or your 10th birth, YOU GOT THIS! *Side note, we do have a disclaimer near the beginning of this episode, but if you birthed your babies in any other way, you're not less-than! This is simply my experience being shared and the reasons behind why I chose this route!*
In this episode, I have a conversation with my FIRST GUEST ON THE POD SINCE FEB 2021 (!!!) and, boy, is it a good one. :) Please welcome one of my newest friends, Mikayla, to the podcast as we speak about her faith walk, a relationship with God, Satan's schemes and more. Enjoy!!
In this episode, I *finally* share what I believe God has been wanting me to talk about for over two years now, as well as some truth from scripture about God's forgiveness, love and mercy. My hope and prayer is that by sharing my own struggles/mistakes/sin, God would meet you wherever you're at in your own, so that you may be set free, too! Thanks for listening.

In this episode, I chat casually with you about of my personal health/fitness/mental journey throughout 2020 (which led to my losing of 19 pounds!) covering the highs & lows along the way, what worked, what didn’t work, what I learned going into 2021, etc. It's essentially a 1 year journey worth of growth boiled down into 1 hour. :) My hope is that if you listen to this full episode, you look for themes or tangible takeaways throughout the episode that you can apply for your own life (Ex: tracking strategies, tangible habit changes, mindset shifts, brick laying, etc). since this is more of a chatty explanation of what's worked for me versus a bullet point type of format. -OR-If you prefer to skip to the point, I’ve included a time stamp for the entire episode and related topics so you can skip to what’s most relevant to you! In this episode, I made the call to go with the flow & change my topic in order to chat about some things on my mind this week, given the current ongoing election. :) Enjoy!
In this episode, we have a conversation about politics & some of the things we are seeing in our culture because of the election just around the corner! Various talking points include: social media/ how it can affect our judgement and critical thinking skills, having empathy for others, King Jesus reigning above us all, Johnny's passion for Ecclesiastes 10 (this one is up for interpretation IMO) :) + more! Enjoy!PS, if you enjoy the CWK podcast thus far, consider sharing it with others or leaving a review!

In this episode, I join you for another casual conversation regarding a variety of different topics (as prefaced in the beginning of this episode). As you probably already guessed, I enjoy recording these off-the-cuff type of episodes. :) Enjoy!
In this episode, we will be talking about our experience implementing the "7 day challenge," which we learned about in Marriage Academy class last winter! Warning: This episode is rated PG 13. LOL! We thought talking about our experience with it might encourage all you married folks out there to try it, too, and see if you experience any positive outcomes from it like we did! Enjoy!
In this episode, I describe a recent encounter where I realized that God had been hearing my thoughts & frustrations, because He boldly addressed each one (through a friend who didn't know it at the time). :) Enjoy!
In this episode, Carolyn and I pick up right where we left off in part 1. We also dive into a variety of other topics, such as some of my testimony, dreams, signs, answered prayers, questioning your faith & God, life and death, good vs evil, suicide, self-help, control, success without God, and MORE! Enjoy!
In this episode, I sit down with another NEW friend of mine, Carolyn Myers! Seriously friends, she is sweet as pie! I bet you'll love her fun & silly nature mixed in with her deep, deep, wisdom. Also- SURPRISE- I threw in a new twist for this conversation (did you already notice it?) Enjoy!
In this short episode, I chat with you about how I've been in a little funk lately, and what has helped in getting out of it! It is also possible that I bursted out into song at one point... although that is normal for me IRL, it is definitely a first on this podcast! LOL :) Enjoy!
In this episode, Elle and I catch up after not seeing each other (pretty sure) since we graduated high school together, in 2011! Elle has ENDLESS wisdom & insight to share with you as she navigates various topics + shares how her faith has impacted her journey thus far! Enjoy!
In this episode, we'll dive into a verse that really stood out to me the other day, and why it is relevant to our everyday lives + some other things I've learned from reading the Bible that might be useful for you, too!Enjoy!
In this episode, I am joined by my sweet new friend, Lindsey Clark! She and her husband Danny are new to our community, so I absolutely love how open and honest she is in this episode. We dive into a variety topics such as her outlook during a season of uncertainty/waiting, God's plan being greater than her plan, the importance of godly friendships, marriage and so much more! Although we share plenty of laughs, she also drops some serious truth bombs in this episode, which I absolutely LOVE. I hope you enjoy getting to know Lindsey more from this episode just as much as I did. Enjoy!
Thinking back, this entire episode was inspired by a friend who reached out to me on social media a few weeks ago to share that my online Bible Study videos had inspired her, which was a big confirmation to me that God is on the move... even in the simplest of tasks... when we say YES to what He wants us to do! I share a lot of personal stories, examples, and parts of my testimony in this episode so that you may be encouraged to see how God is moving in your life, too! Enjoy! Side note: The sentiment behind my "love what He loves & hate what He hates," prayer is more akin to "help me value what God loves even more, and let Him show me what breaks His heart, that it may break mine, too."
In this episode, my husband & I dive into the Enneagram, the story of how we met, marriage, the time I brought up the "D" word (Yikes...) and more!Enjoy!
