Planning (featuring Roderick Sewell)

The theme this episode is planning. Roderick Sewell was born without the use of his legs and after a double amputation above the knee, he and his mother could have never imagined plans could be made to one day race in Kona. They struggled together. His mother gave up her work and they moved in to a shelter so that Roderick could have prosthetics (something isn't right with that scenario!) In the end, Roderick took all he learned from his mother, his perseverance, and his competitive spirit, to become, in 2019, the first double, above the knee amputee to finish Kona. The first. Amazing! Roderick Sewell: https://www.rodericksewell.com We also plan for the season with Coach Jess Smith of Hard Coeur Coaching. Lilias and David speak with Lisa Spencer about planning meals for the week. And Kebby tells us about the new Sound Check and Tiger Lily kit designs. Lilias makes plans to spend some $$$. :) Subscribe at iTunes: apple.co/2Rnpasv Coeur Sports: bit.ly/coeursports Lisa Spencer Nutrition: http://bit.ly/2SnwE19 Hard Coeur Coaching: hbit.ly/2NONP6Z David & Lilias: bit.ly/konakamps

Someone mailed Michelle a dollar bill with a mean-spirited note, telling her to use the money to fix her “big, fat nose and the bags under her eyes.” Michelle was determined to turn that bully’s dollar into something positive and good. With a team of endurance junkies, she helped create a FREE triathlon club for girls ages 8-14. The bully’s dollar multiplied into thousands of dollars and service hours to provide free equipment, coaching and mentoring to help the girls succeed. iTunes: apple.co/2Rnpasv Foodsense Now: bit.ly/2LRSvXX Hard Coeur Coaching: hbit.ly/2NONP6Z David & Lilias: bit.ly/konakamps
