Topics on society, culture and things that troubles us. That we may not understand so, we're going to have conversations about issues that will make you uncomfortable, so that you may grow beyond them. From the streets to the pulpit no one is excluded yet, everyone is included. There comes a time in everyone's life where we have to revisit places and things of discomfort. I encourage you to come and talk with me and my family and maybe, just maybe you can find healing and closure in our dysfunction.
from the streets to the pulpit
How is it that we put more stock into what entertainers have to say versus what we know? Why is it that we question what we see versus what we know? Why is it that we question what we hear versus what we know? It is suggested that we tell our brains that what we see isn't what we see. We told that there's a disconnect between the input and the processing phase in our brain. We are now in a situation to where everybody has an opinion without all the facts. We are being targeted based on emotion. It is almost like history is repeating itself because everyone tend to react or respond out of emotion. Emotion is more of a woman's trait and men usually operate off of logic. We have these people, entertainers or politician, which we get it by way of media/social media/radio. It seems as though the intent is to enact emotion and we fall for it every time. Are we going to continue to fall for their trickery?
Are we still looking for a scape goat? Have we been program to do so? Who's being held accountable for what we're not doing? Why is it so hard to break the mental shackles? Why don't we STOP and look at what's really going on? NEWSFLASH it is your fault as an individual because you neglected to do your own research instead of taking what ANYONE tells you at face value.
What is charity? If charity is love, then what is love? I was told that God is love. Then who is charity? Tonight we are goint to go over the details of those things.
brothers lets saves ourselves through communication and conversation
Brothers tonight is ONLY for you. We are in trying times. And it seems like we don't have anyone to talk to. When the doctor is ill, who does he go see? When the therpist needs to talk to someone, who does he goes to see? My brother when your day, week or life is heavy, who do you go to talk to? Another man that's who. Someone that knows what you are going through because he has been there and done that. Well tonight brothers, fellow men, we are listening. We're here to pull that pressure release valve.
All children that were created through natural conception has a mother and a father. Everything's great until it isn't. And now the relationship between the parents is over, now that there's a separate household for both parents. Where does the child come into consideration? We have this notion that everything is good on both parents behalf, in actuality it isn't. It is not good on neither… because of pain. The pain comes in after the split of course, the father is being torn away from his child and the mother family idea has been destroyed. The child depending upon the age can recoup or can go between the two places. Love isn't in a place versus in the people. The problem lies when the mother's pain is unloaded onto the child. Of course, "everything is your daddy's fault." When dad goes to get the child, now games are played out of spite. When you do finally get the child, you have to essentially deprogram and reprogram the kid to reality versus moms indoctrination. And now the child becomes an adult, where did that pain go? So now the pain has festered into resentment, it never started out with the child's pain, maybe confusion but not pain. So who's to blame for your child's pain?
We've all heard of these identifiers, the haves and the have-nots. the Haves are the affluent and the have nots are the impovished. I
If your friends aren't lining up with your life, what do you do? Your situation has changed significantly. Should your friends change according to your situation? Who's mindset should adjust? What's the rules or ideas that comes along with these ideas or mindsets?
Your power comes from a place deep within, some say your soul. I agree. You strength comes from your muscles, your power comes from your heart Bruce Lee. The power that we're going to talk about is the power that God has given you. And he has given you strength also. What we forget is that the power and strength that we have received is for a different purpose. If it's not going to be used selflessly then it doesn't matter. The power phrase for today is it don't matter
Everyone have insecurities. Insecurites are feelings of uncertainty, a lack of confidence or anxiety about yourself. We ALL have them whether its speech, body image or what have you. Media and social media don't usually help much with this. As forementioned those outlets just feed the underlining issues for lack better words the individuals already have
We all have our own lives to live. I think that we all can agree that no other person can live them for another. Meaning the decisions that I make is that of my own. And I have to live with the results of my decisions. We all know someone that does things differently than we do. We try to impose on their lives based on our emotions. The fact is what they digest don't make you deficate. Respect the difference.
Man is blessed with a powerful tool- "the mind." Our thought life is so powerful that it charts the course of our destiny. The author of proverbs states, "as a man thinks in his heart so is he." What thoughts are you streaming through your heart today are they thoughts on life or death, health or sickness, love or hate, faith or fear, because what you think today will produce your tomorrow.
This show isn't to attack mothers. This show is ONLY to shake mothers out of a deep sleep. This has been going on for far to long, for generations and decades. This is a plea for mothers to understand the damage that occurs when things are done out of order. There's a shared blame. This is a cultural problem. Fathers mhave to man up and mothers have to woman up and wake up. WE can do it. In order to be united we must first be untied. WE ARE A TEAM. WE ARE THE UNIT.
According to Merriam-Webster, a man is defined as: (1): an individual human especially : an adult male human (2): a man belonging to a particular category (as by birth, residence, membership, or occupation) —usually used in combination councilman (3): HUSBAND I now pronounce you man and wife. (4): LOVER He was her man. While I find the listed descriptions correct to an extent, it still begs the question of what a "man actually is." What are the obligations and responsibilities of a man as an individual, husband, lover or leader? What specific characteristics would man entail? Let's talk about it!

Everyone has that one thing that sets them off. Some may call them "pet pevs" or buttons. I call those things triggers. And you may not be able to identify it or them all. I don't believe, just because you have a trigger or triggers you have anger issues nor does it mean that you have a problem communicating. It simply means that there's something that you don't like and it either makes you apprehensive or just down right angry. Bottom line it is perfectly healthy to have a trigger as long as YOU control how you respond or react to being triggered or having your buttons pushed.
As you grow older you start to take an inventory on your life? You start to assess and evaluate everything and everyone that's in your life. And part of that assessment is everyone's behavior with and towards you. The ones that ONLY come around when they want to show off. The ones that is so quick to spread the bad news but never share the good news. You know the ones that is so quick to try to do your thing better than you. The same ones that smile in your face and talk bad about you behind your back. Friends thats really your enemy. Tonight we're going to learn and teach about those people and we're also going to show you that you're not the ONLY one that have them.
I have been experiencing some unexplainable things. I've heard stories about spirits that are still here (on earth). I've even witnessed one personally. Now I'm not sure how this goes biblically. In some studies purgatory doesn't take place or exist. Obviously I don't know or remember. What do you think? Is there an after life here on earth? Are we alone?
I think that the black man that represents progress, growth, evolution is very dangerous. He is dangerous because he's no longer mentally enslaved. He is a free thinker. He is a doer. He executes his mission. He knows that God is his guidance. He knows that he must provide for his family. In his provision for his family stability, being mentally, financially, spiritually and/or emotionally he put all else above his own, he sacrifice. The society that we know is a prepared for this man. Because there's no controlling this man. He can't be persuaded with money. He can't be persuaded with power. So that makes this man very dangerous.
It seems as if no one knows who the are. One could also believe that people now-a-days want validation because they're afraid to stand for something alone. I think that seeking acceptance is almost like conforming. And WE are too strong to conform.
Do we lose our sense of self when we joined others? I don't think that one necessarily lose a sense of self. I think that one is more focus on that togetherness. One is more focus on the mission or movement. I believe that before you can join others you must already know who you are as a person, who you are is individual because if you don't know who you are as an individual how do you know what you're bringing to the unit. When I say unit I mean togetherness. I believe that you should set your individual motives aside for the betterment of the unit or movement that you're joining.
Often times we confuse ourselves with our passion versus our purpose just because we're passionate about something doesn't mean that its the purpose that god has for us. For example just because you like kids doesn't necessarily mean that you're meant to be a child counselor. Just because you like to argue doesn't mean that you are fit to be a lawyer. It is possible to even sell yourself short you may have a great voice, you may want to sing but God wants you to be a speaker. The point is we don't always know what purpose God has for us so again just because your passion doesn't mean its your purpose. Why do you think your business hasn't grown beyond a hustle because its your passion not your purpose.
We often run into people that looks as if they have it ALL together. She's wearing the big fancy hat, suit and shirt fresh out of the cleaner, with a fit that it was built to suite her body with the shoes to match. She's not overdress. She's dressed to compliment her Mister. He's dressed to the nines. A tailored suit with coordinate dobb, belt and shoes. This couple's outside apperaence will make anyone smile with dreams or ideas of doing it bigger. But what no one sees is the scars once the fancy drapery is removed eg, childhood pain, teenage abandonment, adult abuse. When you look in the mirror what scars do you have exposed?
This is a very general question. We know what we want for our loved ones, but what do you want. We have ideas planted in our mind what other people want for us or from us. What do you want? I ask this question because some of the things that we want isn't our ideas. We've allowed other people to influence our mind.
I've been hearing people in the black community talk about spending their money with only black American owned businesses. And it raise the question in my head, what are you doing different than racist white American business owners? They don't want to service black americans. That same idea is being perpetuated on both sides of the american color spectrum. The funny thing is money is green, everyone will spend it and accept it as a form of currency. So there's no such thing as a black dollar nor white dollar because money doesn't have an owner just a spender. I beleive that our energy and motivation is in the wrong direction. No one is talking about investing in black American owned businesses everyone is just talking about spending money. Some would argue semantics. Here's the difference: When you're spending money its in exchange for a product. When you invest you provide or endow someone or something with (a particular quality or attribute). No one is saying that I'm going to employ that black American man to work with or for me, instead i'm going to go hire the mexicans. There's no knock on anyone. But my question is are you any different then the idealist that you're fighting against? Are you being a black racist?
In these days that we're in your guns won't do. I don't care if it's a high powered rifle or a high caliber pistol. It will not do!!! I'm sure that many people have heard of spiritual warfare. Spiritual warfare is resisting, overcoming and defeating the enemy's lies (in the form of deception, temptations and accusations) that he sends our way. Spiritual warfare is dealing with three key things the enemy sends at us: temptations, deception and accusations. Arm yourselves, WE're going to war.
I first wanna send my condolences to the family of Chadwick Boseman. I didn't follow this brothers career. Actually I only saw the black panther because my family wanted to see it. I'm not into superheroes and mutants and all that stuff. No knock or anyone that is, it just isn't my thing. I saw this brother in a few different movies and I was like he's just another script reader without much acting.... then it dawned on me why. Because in every role he exudes dignity, honor and pride. So I started doing my research about this brother. And based on everything that I read I was dead on. One of the things that I read that was written by fellow actor and stated it... "you showed me how to be better, honor purpose and create legacy." I ask you again what do you honor?
Every time I turn on the TV I see that another black american has been or being shot by a white cop. It's sickening! What is it going to take for this to stop? America doesn't want to see black americans revolt. America doesn't want black americans to continue to have tantrums (ie, riot and protesting). It's to the point where even that is being legislated like in TN for example. Now I don't believe "anger gets sh*t done". I believe that anger gets attention, tact gets sh*t done. If you treat PEOPLE like animals, then they turn into ANIMALS so don't cry when you get bit.
We have ALL encountered people that want everything but won't leave the couch. I know that I have. I know for a fact that in order to earn something for yourself that you must first put in some kind of work. Everyone wants that corner office lifestyle with a seasonal work ethic and have the audacity to complain about everything that passes you by or you get passed up for.
When I was young there was a song out called "ain't no half steppin'." I can't recall the artist. Then as I got older and hearing the elders of my neighborhood and family say "don't bite it if you ain't gon' chew it". All the were saying don't start anything if you're not going to see it through to completion. How many of us start a task and stop for whatever reason, get side tracked, funds run out, lost momentum.... whatever the reason may be. What if your higher power, I say God, what if your God stopped short with you? What if he half stepped with your life? What if he ONLY bit and never chewed?
I understand that everyone has different beliefs and I'm not here to say what's right or wrong. I am just here to get some insight because know my source. All I want to know is what you think.... I want to know who's responsible for these creations. And is there any chance of luck? Luck being defined as success or failure apparently brought by chance rather than through one's own actions.
I've been hearing as of late that gender rolls are out dated. Whatever a man can do a woman can do, that nothing is gender specific anymore. And I'd argue if that was the case then men underwear wouldn't have access panels in the front. Someone please help me out with this.
If the things that we were taught in history book throughout our scholastic career were reversed. If black americans were the majority or more influential group and white americans were being gun down a disproportionate rate. White americans were denied jobs, loans, oppertunity for advancement just for being white. Would they still believe in white power? Would they still believe that they are entitled or privileged just for being white? Or would they wave their white flags and surrender because they have been systematically oppressed, when you try to express then you get suppressed, which leads one to be depressed then degressed. If ONLY that was the case...in reality is that the reason for that blow back because, white america is afraid that we're going to treat them as they've treated us. What is going to happen when they realized that the history that they have been taught co-starred if not featured a black american.

I have been in numerous conversations in this question has come about do we want respect or reparations. Let's define the two so that we all may be clear: Respect is defined as a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements. And reparation is defined as the making of amends for a wrong one has done, by paying money to or otherwise helping those who have been wronged. Now me personally, i elect respect. Based on the inventions of black Americans that warrants the utmost respect alone, not to mention the hands and backs of blacks that built this country. To call it how it SHOULD be respect not me but what my forefathers, mothers and siblings has done. The idea of reparation is like a pacifier figuratively speaking take this we're even now shut-up. Who can put a value on the work that was done? What's the number that we should charge to buy back our respect and dignity.
As much as us [men] think we have ALL the answers one question still remains unanswered, why are the black women angry....still? I can guess but i don't truly understand so tonight we're going to get some understanding if not at least we'll get some interesting perspectives.

"From Worry to Confident Hope"...are we there yet? We often worry when faced with uncertainties. In these difficult times prayer connects us to God and energizes us to navigate our anxieties with God. Yet, we often do not know what to pray for, or how to pray. I remember growing up, I would hear my grandma say "Don't Pray and Worry". I am sure that is somewhere in the Bible, however, I never understood what that phrase meant, until now...Through hardships, and tribulations of just "adulting" or in life, we worry. We worry about bills, children, food, sickness, jobs, and that's just to name a few... In the most recent times, we worry about the COVID 19 and it's effects on both health and finances. We worry about police brutality and injustice. If all we're doing is worrying, then WHO IS DOING THE PRAYING? Are we there yet? Are we at that place when we can give our worration to God and Pray for His will be done? Can we accept his will? Are we ready to let go and let God? How do we get there from here? Can we make the roadmap so that our children are better prepared? Do we have inspiration?
In lew of everything that's going on, I believe that conversations have to be had if change is going to come. I also believe that equality and humanity are on the same plane as love and unity. If everyone loves or serves GOD then how did we become so disconnected? As adults we teach our kids or youth, this day in age we may actually learn something for our youth. Aside from the things that we don't understand (i,e the skinny jeans that sags, the music that ONLY they understand). The one thing that they have gotten correct so far is equality and unity. As for us older people these request aren't new, the words just travel further with ALL of GOD's children chanting in unison.
I know there's been lots of events that has taken place since last we've spoken. I know that emotions are running high. I want you to know that, we are listening and we want to help. Let's sit down and come up with an effective plan together. After we have organize, stratigize, mobilize and excersice. BUT we first must kno why. Please tell me WHY. There's so many things that we take for granted. We're typically thankful for the good things that takes place in our lives. What about the things that we're taking into consideration such as, when we're rescued from a situation, when we fall asleep and run late instead of leaving on time and end up in a car pile up? So do we concider the "bad" events as the goodness of GOD? Are we thankful without foresight? Disclaimer: From the streets to pulpit DOES NOT own the rights to ANY of the music or it's likeness. What is malpractice? Improper, illegal or negligent professional activity or treatment especially by a medical practitioner, lawyer or public official. But is it fair to exclude parents? I believe as father that i have certain duties, if i don't fulfill or even make up a decent attempt to teach my sons how to become men not in the stage of life but in the mental, emotional, character and traits. And to demonstrate to my daughters how do you are to be treated by men, how get respect from and to respect men. Then i would be guilty of parental malpractice. How many of us can honestly say that we haven't been the product of parental malpractice in one way or another? Brothers and sisters, Its time that we remove egos and add God. Some time ago there was an episode about who's really in control. There has been a series of events that has taken place that hardly received any air time although it's very news worthy. All we've been hearing about is covid and lies. There has been numerous black people that has been murdered that hasn't been getting and recognition as though the lost of their lives isn't news worthy. Tonight we're speaking as parents. Tuck the children in, it's about to get real. Disclaimer: From the streets to pulpit DOES NOT own the rights to ANY of the music or the likes its ONLY use to encourage.
I ran across a clip from an old show that aired from 1974 -1983. The content of this show had an episode called "The Wisdom of Solomon." This particular show had content that's very relative to today's time. The first half of this clip has the classroom teacher, of what seems to be early grade school, asking the students to write an essay about the things they "dislike the most." Solomon being played by a black American boy says that he dislikes "being a nigger" the most. Then in a later scene Solomon is explaining himself to I'm guessing his friend's father. The exchange clearly cause some commotion, not only did Solomon provide the necessary truth, noting that if he were white his father would still be alive. He later supported his statement with the following exchange this is Solomon: tell me something sir, would you like to live to be 100? the guy: (responds) I'm sure I would. It's not very likely... I guess all of us would like to live to a ripe old age. Solomon: (then ask) would you rather be black and live to be 100 or white and live to be 50? No one wants to answer that question not even his screen counterpart who just walked out. I guess my questions to everyone is 1. What do you dislike the most? 2. Although my shoes are comfortable for me to walk in, would want to walk in my shoes?
Everyone has thoughts about the time frame that the country opens back up. Maybe this is the new level of operation. My faith tells me that this isn't going anywhere but neither is God, he isn't sleep and he isn't on vacation. Meaning he's still true to his promises. Commit thy works unto the lord and all thy thoughts shall be established. Keep your faith and he'll keep his promise.
Do you feel like a victim to your spiraling thoughts? Do you often fall prey to toxic thinking patterns like victimhood, anxiety and distraction? The enemy of our souls is determined to make us feel helpless, overwhelmed, and incapable of making a difference. It doesn't have to be that way! Get out of your head. Humanity needs each and everyone of us to embrace and practice human decency, to love and care for one another. Take the time to get to know that person that doesn't resemble you. Please enact your compassion in this time that we're in. People may lash out out, understand it's out of uncertainty and fear, overlook it and remind them that we're ALL in this together. Brothers and sisters we must take it back from the enemy and return to our natural place and positions. There's strength beneath it all. No toxicity, ONLY affirmations.
We're in a place in time where it's time for us to band together. more now than any other time. when the enemy see us divided, he can be more victorious, he can conquer more. we gotta come together and unite on every level spiritually, physically and by saying physically, i mean being neighborly, being humane to one another, helping each other out. this is not a time for us to be divided because of our differences our financial situations, or our positions in society or what have you. Mike Tyson couldn't have won without his cornor, Michael Jordan couldn't have won without his teammates. we gotta come together and there's no finer time than now. we don't know what to believe as far as was being put out in the media. what we do know and we can stand firm on is the presence of god and his word. so that being said is time for 2 more together in his name so will he'll be in the midst. in unison let us say this too shall pass.
What are you doing with your time? Right now we're in a place where all we have is time. We are shut in or isolated from the outside world. All we have is time. As we've seen tomorrow isn't promised to us.There has been several cases or incidents where people are dying at a high rate of speed. We must use our value our time and use our valued time wisely. I'm curious are we reading more? Have we picked up hobbies? Are we focusing on health, nutrition and fitness? What are we doing? Are we using this time to get closer or strengthen our relationship with GOD. When this whole shut-in or sheltering first started I was bummed out. I guess I was kind of depressed. I haven't had this much free time the since I can remember. I eventually embraced it, spend time with my family, workout, and yes I got closer to GOD and by doing that I'm also strengthening my relationships with my brothers. BROs that you would not normally call or text I find myself doing so just to check on their well being, check on their family. I'm not TOO busy now. That's what I'm doing with my time. What are you doing with your time?
It is understood the time that we live in, the current state of the world. There shouldn't be any human interacting. No group gatherings or he consequence will be a fine and or time in jail. To me personally it seems as though even more fear is being put into your mind. I went to grab dinner they were on the curb taking and passing out orders yet, the were still congragated in a central location. I thought to myself they're not even distanting themselves properly i wouldn't eat inside there. I say that to say do things the proper way because its the Godly way not out of fear. When things are done out of fear it wears off over time then you have to place more fear or make an example of someone to get your point across. When things are done godly it's natural and humane.
I was asked about the competitive nature of men. And it was hard for me pin point the exact reason that men compete with each other. I was thinking that its one of those things like "i don't want yours, i do want one though." And then you have the other side of that same coin, "i want what you have and i don't want you to have one either." so it brings up the idea of jealousy, the root word being jealous, meaning feeling or showing envy of someone or their achievements and advantages. Envy or envious a feeling of discontented or resentful longing aroused by someone else's possessions, qualities, or luck. whichever it is lets talk about it.
I don't work for the CDC or WHO and neither did my fore parents. I know part of my teaching all of my life was to wash my hands, which is a part of my personal hygene. Now Let's talk about this.
