Darkness is opposed to the Light, and men love the darkness rather than the Light.

In her extravagance she associated with evil companions.

Darkness in the Scriptures has to do with the state of man as well as his walk.

The unjust who die yet in their sins shall be unjust still. The righteous and holy who die being righteous and holy shall still be righteous.

They were guilty of living the extravagant life, putting on great festivities.

Jesus the light of men is in men and those whom He is in are the children of light.

The impenitent and unbelieving are in God's sight wicked and under the curse.

They were guilty of falsely trusting in world powers, Egypt, Assyria, and Chaldea, and worshiping their gods. They played the part of an harlot.

Of course, the Pharisees objected to His witness of himself.

Those who are truly righteous are justified by faith in Christ Jesus, and sanctified by the Spirit.

They were hypocrites, for when they had offered their children in the fire that same day they went into the sanctuary of God.

Jesus after saying to the woman that He did not condemn her, said, go and sin no more.

When are walk is not pleasing to the Lord He chastises us.

Jerusalem was to be drunken with the cup of God's Wrath, which is deep and large and she will have sorrow.

All those who are truly born again and especially members of the Lord's churches are to be anxious about practicing good works. That is setting a course of practicing good works.

Is God on your side, or is He against you?

When asked the question, what should be done with this adulteress, Jesus just ignored them.

Is your mind alert and sound in the things of God? Are we living a life that is upright and godly before Him?

What do you live for? What do you love? Is your trust in God?

Not only were there the guilt of the woman and her partner, and the witnesses, but there was also the guilt of those religious Scribes and Pharisees.

The children of God and especially members of His Church are to avoid any form of evil..

She lusted after the nations round about Egypt, nations confederate with the Egyptians, and kept remembering the wicked devices of her youth.

Not only was the adulteress and adulterer guilty of sin, but so were the witnesses who witnessed against her.

Civil Government is ordained of God, and we are to obey them as long as what they require of us is not contrary to the Word of God.

She persisted on in whoredoms, and the more she persisted, the more she deteriorated in sin.
