On this week's episode, we are elaborating on one of core beliefs, "My RX might be your poison!". Our focus is a group model of fitness that allows for individual prescription and how it is more beneficial toward success. If you've never heard the term "RX", when it comes to a workout, it's the same as you would hear at a pharmacy. You wouldn't take someone else's medicine, that is prescribed for them, and hope for the same results. It might even kill you. The term "RX", when it comes to a workout, it's referring to doing a workout with all the prescribed things applied to it. So a specific weight, height or movement. And sometimes, that "RX" weight or movement might not be exactly what's best for any given athlete. We make sure everyone that comes in the gym is going to get the best workout for them, individually. We can modify the weight, height or movement specifically for each person so the hit the intended stimulus, which in turn, moves that needle in the right direction to be a healthier, happier, higher performing individual. Also if you were ever wondering about competitive knitting competitions or the dark underbelly of the extreme yo-yoing world, this is the episode for you!Check outRiotalthetics.comRiot Athletics Instagram
Hey Team! In our first episode, Jordan and Trent dig deep into what Riot's unique belief in fitness actually is and why we think we have probably the best one. First and foremost, we are a CrossFit facility. There are plenty of ways to achieve that healthier, happier, higher performing lifestyle, but we feel constantly varied, functional movements, performed at high intensity is the best way to achieve your fitness dreams. We are striving to help you move better, get stronger and have a better "engine" in life. The stronger we get inside the gym, the easier everything outside the gym comes by comparison. We want everyone to live a little longer, be able to get out of as chair unassisted and be able to tackle the "stuff" in life. Riotathletics.comRiot Athletics Instagram
