When Friday the 13th and Valentine's Day collide… Now that the Super Bowl and it's celebrations are over, it's time to focus on free agency and the Seahawks have 7 free-agents that would all be great to have back. Will the Seahawks be able to bring them all back and if not, which guys should be the priority? Would you consider franchise-tagging Ken Walker at $14 million? Would you re-sign Shaheed at $14 million? :30- Did you know it was NBA All-Star weekend? Yeah, some of us didn't either… Could we hear more from Adam Silver on the possibility of expansion? Have our views or level of excitement changed as the buzz seems to be ramping up? :45- How concerned are we or should we be about losing Klint Kubiak and having find a new Seahawks OC? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Headlines and the lovefest on Parade Day. The relationship between Seattle fans and their teams these days is something pretty special. :30- What's next for Ken Walker? Will he be able to work out a deal with the Seahawks this offseason or be wearing a different uniform next season? How is the relationship between Walker and Schneider? :45- The criticism of Sam Darnold has changed. Now people can accept he won a Super Bowl, but are already questioning if he can do it again. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The Seahawks Super Bowl Championship parade was a success. Estimates say 1 million people attended and there were no issues along the 2 mile parade route. What a celebration it was for the fans and the players, a lot of whom couldn't stay on the buses and had to get out to mingle with fans along the route. :30- What's Going On In Other Sports: Part Deux. - What's going on with so many hamate bone injuries? - What's going on with tanking in the NBA? - What's going on with Jake and Jutta? :45- Jessamyn caught up with all the key players immediately after the Seahawks Super Bowl win and today we hear from the GM, John Schneider. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
12th Man Roundtable with HUGH MILLEN and GREGG BELL (Tacoma News Tribune) We get everyone's thoughts on yesterday's parade to start. What a special moment for Seattle. How did Hugh feel about Ernest Jones declaration? When looking back at SB tape, it looked like Mike MacDonald knew everything the Patriots were going to do, what would Hugh and Gregg credit that to? How integral was Nick Emmanwori to this SB win? :30- Sam Darnold is still getting a lot of attention, but one thing is clear, he is beloved by his teammates and coaches. :45- Coaching turnover and continuity heading into next season- will the Hawks be able to retain most of their coaching staff? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
It's a post-parade best of!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We decided an extra segment of the 12th man roundtable was necessary; there's just too much to talk about! We start with a discussion about JSN and the season he had. What's the top offseason priority for Schneider? Is it imperative to get Ken Walker back? How worried should we be about losing Kubiak? :30- It's time for one final conversation with MIKE SANDO (The Athletic) as we wrap up the 2025 Seahawks season. What did Mike think of the game and the Seahawks dominance over the Paatriots? What moves does he anticipate this offseason? Does he think they Hawks can do it again next year? Where will Sam Darnold start 2026 as far as QB tiers? :45- We close out the Thursday show with one last thing! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
- It's Parade Day! The Seahawks Super Bowl rally and parade are taking place this morning and people are already starting to arrive downtown to get ready for the celebration. Let the conversations about the Seahawks future begin as the questions about contracts will get underway soon as will the conversations about how hard it is to get back to the Super Bowl. Is this team better prepared than most to do just that? :30- Sam Darnold got the job done. No turnovers in the playoffs and no, he didn't put up spectacular numbers, but he did his part and what was asked of him. Darnold is only 28 and proof that age and team really are factors in a struggle early on in a career. :45- Schneider's moves over these last few years have been spot on. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Headlines and 12th man news with GREGG BELL (Tacoma News Tribune) It's Parade day! What does Gregg recall from the last Championship parade? How special is this team and what they accomplished? There's always an element of vulnerability in a Championship team, it feels like this organization is set up pretty perfectly to try and do this again next year. :30- We keep Gregg for one more segment and the conversation shifts to this Seahawks offensive line. - Who does gregg attribute the improvement in the O-Line to? - Does he expect a lot of coaching turnover with Kubiak leaving? - How special is Grey Zabel? :45- We get not-so Reckless at Breakfast on parade day with some rules for parading! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
It seems appropriate to have an impromptu roundtable right about now as GREGG BELL and IAN FURNESS join Chuck and Buck at Jimmy's and the place is packed! We reminisce about the last time we celebrated a Championship here in Seattle and share our thoughts on this year's team and celebration. :30- We are taking it all in at Jimmy's ahead of today's big celebration and it's getting noticeably quieter as the crowd is making it's way to Lumen Field. :45- We close out this Championship celebration show with one last thing! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Please note that this episode was recorded on February 5th, 2025.Episode 056 | Dr. Sarah Sung, MD has long been one of Seattle's most sought-after board-certified dermatologists. She's now taking a bold new step to become more accessible to her beloved patients through her new independent, direct care private practice, The Perq, at 5101 25th Ave NE in Seattle, WA!To give you an idea of what's going on at The Perq, here's a lovely bit from their website that I know will resonate with many of you: "Everyone's skin has a story. We'll take time to listen to yours."Want more? So do I. Dr. Sung explains on PerqMD.com: “After a decade in dermatology, I've seen how large clinics often leave patients feeling rushed and unheard. Here, you're treated as an individual, not a number. We take the time to understand your needs, provide exceptional care, and create a medical experience you'll look forward to.”Day after day, my patients tell me how they're fed up with 5-minute dermatologists. Well, folks, Dr. Sung is listening, and she ain't no 5-minute derm.Dr. Sung's impressive background includes training at the University of Southern California, Harvard University, Johns Hopkins University, and with the United States Air Force. Before founding The Perq, Dr. Sung practiced at The Polyclinic in Downtown Seattle and the Overlake Clinic in Bellevue, Washington. She's also a fellow graduate of the 2024-2025 cohort of LearnSkin's Integrative Dermatology Certificate Program (IDCP), which is how I met her and many other remarkable past and future guests... Witnesses said a bystander in the right place at the right time jumped in to stop a gunman who shot two people near Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle. The shooting suspect was just 16, and KOMO News has learned that he teamed up with several accomplices to confront a group of young people around 10 p.m. Wednesday at First Avenue and Union Street, in the heart of the city's tourism district. As the gunfire began, a man with his own firearm stepped out of the shadows and killed the teenage shooter. The medical examiner has since identified the deceased as Kale Vaughn Kellen Nusbaum. All three people were shot in front of the Four Seasons hotel, and many of the rounds struck a condominium building across the street.

Today marks the third anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. More than 500 Ukrainians and supporters gathered this weekend in Downtown Seattle to show solidarity and share their fears about Ukraine’s future. The third anniversary of the war comes as President Donald Trump has mused over upending America’s commitment to Ukraine’s defense. U.S and Russian officials met in Saudi Arabia last week for bilateral talks, including discussion of the future of Ukraine. Notably absent at the table – anyone from Ukraine. Trump also falsely said last week that Ukraine started the war – which began with Russia’s invasion. And in a post on Truth Social, Trump accused Ukraine's President, Volodomir Zelenskyy, of being a “dictator without elections” - writing, “Zelenskyy better move fast or he is not going to have a Country left.” The dramatic shift in rhetoric from the U.S. has left European leaders and Ukranians scrambling to understand what will happen next. KIRO Newsradio caught up with a Seattle resident known for taking very long walks right here at home, seeing the city and the region from a unique perspective – and then sharing it with others through photos and tours. Austin Watson retired after a long career at Boeing, and he now lives with his wife in Downtown Seattle. He wears comfortable clothes and serious walking shoes because on a good day – which means pretty much every day – he’ll easily cover 10 miles on foot. He also owns decent rain gear, because he’ll often take his long walks rain or shine – which is something of a given in the Pacific Northwest.

In Sarah LaMont's own words: "When I graduated college with a degree in Graphic Design from the University of Washington I had a hard time finding a job in my field, that is when I secured a second job at Nordstrom in Downtown Seattle as a Salesperson in the Women's Petite Department. Admittedly, I didn't think it was a real job… on my very first day I tended to a 5 feet tall woman who was overwhelmed trying to find something memorable to wear to her son's wedding. By the end of the day, not only had we found something that made her feel beautiful but had accomplished the same challenge for her husband. They were so happy I remember them tipping me $100 and told me to use it to buy myself a bottle of vodka because 'I deserved it!' This experience was eye opening to me… I always loved getting dressed and saw it as a way to express who I was and how I wanted people to see me; I cared more about body shape and proportion and how fashion could be incorporated into your every day lifestyle. While working at Nordstrom I encountered people who didn't see getting dressed as a creative expression but as a stressful hassle… and I wanted to help. I do what I love: Styling for both men and women, not just for special occasions and events, but for their Saturday mornings and casual evenings with their family and friends. I believe style should be part of your everyday life and doesn't have to be full of rules and “dry clean only” labels. I started this business so that I can help each one of my clients find function and creativity in their existing closets and never feel embarrassed to bump into people they know while out doing errands again. Why style?… Why not!"
A lot of completely normal Americans believe Trump should have gone free, and he probably will because of his popularity. Which, believe it or not, brings me to the case of Seattle’s own Belltown Hellcat. He’s the guy who goes tearing through Downtown Seattle at night in his unmuffled souped-up Dodge Charger at 107 miles an hour.
