Those who claim to live in God should live their lives as Jesus did. - 1 John 2:6 Review Questions: 1. Does my life declare that all of life is about Jesus? 2. Do my thoughts, words, and actions proclaim that Jesus is life? 3. Why am I okay with, and even excuse at times, a little bit of darkness in my life? 4. How are my relationships, really?
God is light and darkness has no place in him at all. 1 John 1:5
Children's song
Our Bodies Are Spiritually Significant
"Teenagers have always been influential to the kingdom of God."
The circumstances of our childhood don't have to define who we become.
God is able to do great things in and through us
God's forming something...wait for it.
Worship isn't as much about form as it is about formation!
GOD’S MISSION IS WORTH LIVING We believe God’s desire was for us to know Jesus, and if following Jesus changes the way we live our lives, then maybe what God has for our lives is worth pursuing. Maybe His mission is worth living. We simply want to help people discover if this true or not. We don’t want to convert you to Christianity or have you attend our Worship Services unless your open to what God might be doing in your life. If God is at work in your life we want to challenge you to purse God and what He wants you to be doing, with all your heart. As you join God on mission we believe that the places you live, work, and play will begin to see a different way to live life. http://lifestationchurch.com/about-us/values/
FOLLOWING JESUS CHANGES EVERYTHING No matter what faith background you have, you have to admit that the life Jesus lived was pretty radical. If you and I lived our lives following his example our lives would be drastically different. Even for those who don’t believe everything about the Bible, we want to encourage them to see if following Jesus and his example would have a positive impact on their lives.
FAITH AND LIFE ARE MEANT TO BE SHARED It's to easy to be individualistic and self centered. As people begin to matter, we want to help each others live life to the fullest. It is easy to have surface level relationships but the ones that will make the biggest difference in our lives are the ones that challenge us to think about what is important in life. What a person believes is really important. It determines the way one lives their life and what they live it for. So we want to create communities where people can learn to share their faith and lives with others. We want to create spaces where people can have fun eating meals, playing games, and just being around others who are different from them while having an opportunity to discover what they believe and why at their own pace.
COMMUNITIES CAN CHANGE We want individuals begin to believe that our communities can change. As we begin to care about others and engage in compassionate service that empowers those we serve, we believe change can happen. http://lifestationchurch.com/about-us/values/
PEOPLE MATTER So we want to help people begin to care about others who are different from them. We want to see intergenerational relationships happen. We want to see the rich and the poor become friends. We want to see people from different cultural backgrounds appreciate the uniqueness of other cultures. One of the hardest parts about life is learning to be comfortable with who you are and not forcing everyone around you to be just like you. I think we were made different, yet we need each other. We have so much to learn about living life from each other. http://lifestationchurch.com/about-us/values/
