Life is filled with many battles that we must face daily and sometimes we as people aren’t equipped to sift through our issues all because we can only operate from a personal place of understanding at which we know, right? So, with more understanding, more grace, when presented with problems, rather sorrow, pain, and happiness, we are better equipped to conquer and sustain through the psychological and physical barriers of life. This isn’t a perfect “go-to†to solving your issues, but merrily a platform help broaden your perspective and to show you that the glass in fact is half full.

“We cultivate love when we allow our most vulnerable and powerful selves to be deeply seen and known, and when we honor the spiritual connection that grows from that offering with trust, respect, kindness and affection. Love is not something we give or get; it is something that we nurture and grow, a connection that can only be cultivated between two people when it exists within each one of them – we can only love others as much as we love ourselves. Shame, blame, disrespect, betrayal, and the withholding of affection damage the roots from which love grows. Love can only survive these injuries if they are acknowledged, healed and rare.” ― Brené Brown, The Gifts of Imperfection
As my sufferings mounted I soon realized that there were two ways in which I could respond to my situation — either to react with bitterness or seek to transform the suffering into a creative force. I decided to follow the latter course. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.
“I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought; and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.” - G.K Chesterton #Happynewyear2021
The first day of your brand new life begins now. It is the launch of your dream chapter. The birth of a new you. The end of an old era and the magical start of a new one. You get to decide when and how you want to start over. All it takes is one thought; one decision that will alter your life forever. Clear the space in front of you to make room for what is coming. Your dreams get activated the moment you realize you're worthy of achieving them. - Ether T.
The edifying process of change leaves a lot of us overwhelmed, stuck, and out of place, but the gag is you're running your own race. The life you are living is yours, read that again and apply it to your actions, your truth, and your yes. Real change is honoring the work that needs to be done and deciding to make the better change and doing what's needed and necessary to fulfil your God given purpose. Get unstuck and get out of the automated cycle of settling for less and overcompensating for things that aren't meant to be. You know your truth, your flaws, your secrets, your scars, your wrongs, etc. but what about the right? Give yourself a committed yes. Decide to get unstuck and unlearn what is holding you down by embracing your true beauty, raw beauty, natural beauty........be whole, be free, and be you.
Appreciating the life you have now; the resources, family, health, and strength are all inevitable. Change is inevitable and imagine being restored & renewed to higher heights without appreciating your current blessings and all you have. God has placed everything at a steady stand still to get the attention of those he have called to serve. Some of us lost our way, but the losses that some of us have encountered has led us to a place of thanksgiving, which has made us appreciate all that we have now!!
Don't desire anything that you aren't willing to work. Can you withstand the bourdon of the blessing? If you find yourself neglecting what you have to appeal to others, if you find yourself being envious of another person all because you can't live or present yourself in their form, look inside and honor who you are and the potential you have!! There are more people with half you talent excelling in the same field/walk you desire to be in, but you're operating in fear & supposed lack, that you can't even look in the mirror and honor your beauty! Real beauty. Ever look in the mirror, no bashing, no hate, just admiring and loving on who you are? TRY IT!! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL & WHAT YOU HAVE IS ENOUGH!!
Family and friend's support means everything to a lot of us, but what if you don't receive the help and support that you desire? Well, your calling is your calling and often times you have to walk that journey alone, often reaping the benefits alone as well. Don't allow what you don't have to dictate how to treat and operate in what you do have!!
Moving to Tallahassee has presented far more opportunities of growth in all ways imaginable, how did I do it? I didn't. God used me and sent me where my spirit is needed to grow and draw others near...as I tell folk, I'm no prophet, but I do carry His word.
Often times we seek validation from others through what we post on social media, exude in person, and how we imagine carrying ourselves in the future, but in actuality you only need validation from yourself and the one who has called you, rather Muslim, Hindu, Christian, or a non-believer in spirituality, you don't need or have to have approval from others to fulfill your passion and to live with purpose. The "yes" or your calling should not rely on the approval of others, when you are called it is just that, God doesn't call you to something only to wait for you to ask those around you to go.
Letting go seems hard until you just do. Get away from those who emotionally and psychologically cause you to regress due to their actions towards you. Far more than friendships, we hold on to habits and old ways of thinking the hinder us from moving forward and breaking through into our next season of life, but cheer up friend, as the old folks would say, "I'll go with you." Let us embark on real change as we detach and unlearn certain behaviors. As we receive more understanding, more grace, we too can live life abundantly without void.
The noise of this world and those around us sometimes creates a chaotic environment in which we lose ourselves...we lose focus of our purpose, forget to broaden the horizon, and expound on which left us clueless. Picking up the pieces and cultivating an environment in which I can socially thrive while showing up unapologetically me, has lead me yearning for more understanding and more grace. Back to reality is the first episode of a personal podcast series venting to millennials who subscribe to similar ideologies as me and those who have grown up with similar teachings, that yearn to dissect what they were taught in hopes of challenging traditional beliefs that serves a disservice those around us.
