Hello to you listening from wherever your feet touch the ground on this Halloween which has roots in the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced SOW in) which marked the end of summer and the harvest and begins the darker half of the year.Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday and your host, the Witch of Whidbey.Over these past 6 weeks (as I do every year) I've been retracing in my journal and my memories the pilgrimage I walked on the Camino de Santiago. By this time back then I was leaving Finisterre, Spain bound for uncertain transition and re-entry into life back in the States. “Look to the Helpers” showed up as the prevailing theme in this year's “trek along the Buen Camino.” No matter how lost or uncertain, cold, wet, tired, or hungry there was always someone or something to show me the way, the next step. Maybe the Camino's yellow arrow, maybe Camino magic, maybe a stranger - how often we pilgrims relied on the kindness of strangers. In turn, we learned how to give a hand up to one another because Each One Lift One is a lesson the Camino deeply ingrains.Something I've not thought of in decades came to mind as I mused on Helpers. I'd been given a brand new shiny emerald green big girl 2-wheeler bicycle for my 7th birthday. The first I'd ever owned. Now I'd have to learn how to ride it.It was cold that New Jersey February. I remember dad holding the back of the bike seat steadying the bike as I learned to balance, keep it upright, steer down the concrete sidewalk. Once I got the hang of it I peddled a short way, and then a little longer, dad's fingers still on the rear of the bike seat until he let go and there I went wobbling but upright, making my way down the sidewalk. I was riding a 2-wheeler bike! That's been my life from that day to this: testing my balance, falling down 7, getting up 8, gaining confidence. But never alone. The Helpers in my life, always there, holding, steadying, letting go, and watching with pride! There she goes! That's our girl! All attitude, sass, class and adventure ready for what's next. What's next was washing up on the shores of Whidbey Island to become the Witch of Whidbey. Still finding my way, orienting my True North compass, looking to the Helpers.Story Prompt: What about you? How have you traveled Life's roads? Who are your Helpers? Write that story and tell it out loud! You're always welcome: "Come for the stories - Stay for the magic!" Speaking of magic, I hope you'll subscribe, share a 5-star rating and nice review on your social media or podcast channel of choice, bring your friends and rellies, and join us! In this heartfelt episode, Candace shares reflections from a peaceful bike ride among the trees — and the reminder that nature is our greatest teacher. Surrounded by the effortless beauty of the natural world, Candace explores how every part of nature — from trees and bees to apples and rivers — simply exists as it is, without comparison or striving to be something else. She invites listeners to remember that we, too, are part of nature. Like the trees, we are most beautiful when we're being our truest selves — not trying to fit in, change, or become something we're not. This episode is a gentle call to return to authenticity, self-acceptance, and the natural rhythm of simply being.

When you hear the word 'surrender' what comes to mind? Most people associate surrender with losing… but what if surrendering is exactly what you need to do to experience miracles? In this episode, I share how Surrender is an ancient practice on the spiritual path, one that can lead to healing, abundance, and miracles. I also share my insight about Mother Mary's seven 'surrender mysteries' and how they correlate to the seven chakras for deep healing. How do you feel about letting go? Have you ever let go and experienced a miracle? PS – if you want to experience the 7 Part Healing Path of Surrender series that begins Nov 5th in the Magnify Your Miracles membership, click here to join. Key Learnings: 1) Surrender is the opposite of what we are taught to do. The idea of letting go seems counterintuitive in a culture that continues to push, push, push! But what if holding on and trying to force things to happen is blocking your manifestation? 2) Surrender is a natural part of the cycle of nature. Every Autumn the trees release their leaves, and the natural world prepares for Winter, letting go of every unnecessary thing in the process. Every night you enter the great surrender of sleep where deep healing happens. What if you did this consciously and not just during sleep? 3) The seven sorrows rosary corresponds to the seven chakras. It is also similar to the story of the descent of Innana who must discard something at each level as she descends to the underworld. We will follow this healing path of Mother Mary's, beginning at the crown chakra and the first surrender mystery, releasing any energy that is holding you back from experiencing a deeper connection with the Divine. We loved this honest, hopeful conversation with two dear friends—Kelli Haywood and Brandon Verner—who both live as Enneagram 3s at home and at work. If you're a Three (or love one), you'll hear so much of your own story: the high energy and discipline, the adventurous “let's go!” spirit, and the quiet temptation to substitute charm and productivity for feelings and presence. Kelli and Brandon name the hard places (kids feeling pressure to perform, our tendency to “manage” outcomes, the pull to keep moving instead of feeling) and offer practical ways forward: stop and pause, slow your voice and body, ask “Are you open to feedback?”, repair with specific apologies, and build family rhythms that prize connection over winning. You'll hear beautiful stories about advocating for our kids, making memories through shared adventure, and creating homes where children feel deeply safe, fully accepted, and free to be themselves. . . . . . . After 4½ years and 500 members, I'm closing The Coach Lab to launch something new. In this episode, I'm sharing what it really feels like to evolve your coaching business, the ache of letting go, the beauty of growth, and the difference between relief and grief when something ends. Pastor Kelly Soiles teaches that forgiveness is a courageous, ongoing practice empowered by Jesus, beginning with honestly naming the hurt and handing it to God. She reminds us that forgiveness leads to freedom and quiet joy as we trust Christ more than revenge.
Letting go is the name of the game in midlife. We're invited to open our hands, releasing what was and receiving what is. Whether it's a role we once held, a relationship that's shifted, a long-held dream, or even our health, midlife invites deep transformation through loss and renewal. In this episode, Krista Gilbert and Alex Kuykendall explore the sacred art of letting go through the lens of Scripture and grounded psychological insight. They discuss the necessity of grieving what's been lost while making space for new beginnings. Ultimately, letting go isn't a passive act - it's an intentional, faith-filled practice that opens the door to freedom, peace, and deeper trust in God's unfolding story. If you find yourself in a surrendering season, this episode is for you! TAKEAWAYS: It's essential to discern when to end something and when to persevere. Letting go is a gradual process, much like building a muscle. Midlife brings significant changes that require us to let go. Grief is a natural response to change and loss. Surrendering to God's will is a key aspect of faith. Self-regulation is essential in navigating life's transitions. Letting go can be painful, as it often involves loss of identity. Ending well is important for personal growth and closure. Recognizing expectations can help in the letting go process. Scripture provides numerous examples of letting go and trusting God. Episode #1050 In this episode, we talk about what it actually means to let go and why it might be the one thing standing between you and the life you want. Doug shares a real story about a man whose marriage, business, and family were falling apart. Nothing was working. Then everything changed when he stopped holding onto the stories he believed were true. This isn't about pretending things are fine. It's about being honest with yourself and asking where you might be holding on too tightly. If you've ever thought your wife just doesn't get it or that nothing will ever change, this conversation is going to challenge you. The hardest part for most men is realizing that control and certainty are often just ways to avoid the truth. Letting go isn't weakness. It's leadership. And it takes a level of strength most guys don't talk about. But once you get it, you start showing up differently in your marriage, at home, and in the way you carry yourself every day. Want a real plan to turn things around in your marriage without losing yourself in the process? Einstein was called “slow” at school, J. K. Rowling collected a dozen rejections, and Walt Disney was once fired for “lacking imagination.” We love stories of perseverance—but what's the cost of never letting go? In this conversation, psychoanalyst Adam Phillips argues that our obsession with endurance can have hidden, corrosive effects. He invites us to consider giving up not as failure, but as a creative act: a way to revise who we are, resist the tyranny of completion, and make room for lives that fit.Adam Phillips is a leading British psychoanalyst and acclaimed essayist, celebrated for bringing psychoanalytic ideas into everyday life with clarity and wit. He is the author of more than twenty books, including On Kissing, Tickling, and Being Bored, Darwin's Worms, Going Sane, On Balance, Attention Seeking, and On Wanting to Change. He has served as a child psychotherapist in the NHS and is the general editor of the new Penguin translations of Sigmund Freud. Netflix's Ginny & Georgia star Antonia Gentry joins The Art of Kindness with Robert Peterpaul, opening up about learning to drop expectations - of herself, her work, and others - in favor of curiosity and compassion. She reflects on the power of flexibility, the quiet confidence that comes from grace, and how kindness is not about pleasing people but meeting them where they are. This 'just peachy' episode covers: - Why kindness thrives when we let go of rigid expectations - How Antonia practices flexibility and self-grace in her creative life - Acts of kindness from co-stars like Brianne Howey and more! After years of holding sacred space for healing, I've come to realize that endings aren't losses — they're integrations. In this episode, I share the raw, real journey of closing my studio, the place that became so much more than a business. It was a vision born from love, built through resilience, and fulfilled through the transformation of those who trusted the process. This episode is about alignment — staying true to your vision even when few understand it. It's about working tirelessly when no one's watching, giving with pure intention, and realizing that what we create out of love never truly ends — it evolves. If you've ever had to let go of something you poured your soul into, this conversation is for you. Because when you stay true, what you lose in form, you gain in depth. Get deep. Stay real. Be you. The intentions will heal you. Be sure to subscribe to our podcast and YouTube channel so you never miss an episode of the Mind Your Health, Rewired! We release new episodes every week. Send us a textSelf-care is the very first personal boundary. It's the essential line between you and burnout, between you and your old perfectionism, and between you and the belief that your self-worth depends on what you produce. Many of us intellectually understand the need for self-care, but when we see it as a non-negotiable boundary, the entire game changes. In this week's episode 326 of the Fragmented to Whole Podcast, I'm sharing jaw-dropping transformation stories from clients and revealing why self-care is the hardest, yet most sacred, boundary to set. Some of the talking points I go over in this episode include:Why self-care is the most difficult boundary, especially for those prone to perfectionism and over-functioning.How simple shifts in self-care (like taking a full lunch break or not working weekends) create massive emotional change.Real-life stories of mothers who finally stopped enabling their adult sons by setting hard financial and physical boundaries. The ripple effect of new boundaries, leading to grounded conversations and a renewed commitment to personal truth in marriage and family. The central thread: Boundaries are about creating emotional safety inside yourself, not about control or punishment of others. You don't have to stay stuck in the cycle of fixing, rescuing, and over-functioning. The moment you learn to take care of yourself first, you show up from peace, not panic, and everything else begins to align. Are you ready to treat self-care as your most sacred boundary?Be sure to tune in to all the episodes to receive tons of practical tips on living a more whole life and to hear even more about the points outlined above.Thank you for listening! Motherkind Moment is your place for calm, connection, and a shift in perspective before the week ahead. This week's Moment is with Rebecca Cox, co-author of 'How to be a happy single parent'.. It's such an honest and important one about single motherhood, money, and letting go of the life you thought you'd have. We talk about what happens when life doesn't follow the picture you imagined — when you're suddenly faced with financial pressures, childcare costs, and trying to hold everything together on your own. Our guest shares so openly about that reality: the long nights working to make ends meet, the budgeting, the exhaustion, and the constant mental load of figuring it all out. But what really struck me was her honesty about shame and pride – that mix of feelings so many of us have when it comes to asking for help. She talks about how the stigma around being a “single mum” isn't just external – it can come from within. And how letting go of that shame became a huge part of rebuilding her confidence and finding contentment again. We also explore the power of community – how finding other single parents, or just people in similar seasons of life, can make all the difference. She shares how connecting with other mums in the same situation helped her feel less alone, more supported, and even created new “family” moments that look different from what she once imagined, but feel deeply right. This episode is a reminder that life might not always look how we planned – but it can still be beautiful, full, and deeply connected when we allow ourselves to ask for help, lean on others, and rewrite what “family” and “success” really mean. If you're on Instagram, you may have come across Brian's work before. His grounded, relatable approach helps people deepen their relationship with themselves and others. He's developed a system called SIBS—Somatic Work, Inner Child Work, Breathwork, and Support—which has guided his clients through what might be the most challenging spiritual path there is: the yoga of relationships. While we don't use that term on the show, it kept coming to mind as I re-listened to Brian's story and insights. In traditional yoga, we unite body, breath, and mind to return to the Self. In the yoga of relationships, we do the same—but with other humans. Our partners become mirrors, and pretty much every emotion becomes an invitation to see where we're still attached, defended, or separate from love. In this way, our partners, friends, and family become our greatest teachers—not because they're perfect, but because they reveal the parts of us that are not yet free. It's confronting, profound work, and it's the path Brian has committed himself to and has helped countless others within. Highlights from this episode: - His transformative initiation with Iboga and the Bwiti tradition, and how working with plant medicine refined his understanding of healing- The breakup that became a breakthrough — how his wife, Hope, leaving deepened their love, marriage, and spiritual growth- Simple, powerful tools to regulate your nervous system and support the vagus nerve when conflict or triggers arise - A mysterious recurring illness that finally shifted when Brian faced his buried shame and let go of his “hero” complex within his coaching businessConnect with Brian: https://awakeningwithbrian.com/ https://www.instagram.com/awakeningwithbrian/ Related Episodes: Whispers of Letting Go of Who You Thought You Were with Hope YangWhispers of Owning Your Light (Language) with Hope YangWhispers of Breakups, Heartache, and the Greatest Love Story of All TimeWhispers of Gabon and My Initiation with the BwitiIf you'd like to connect with Stephanie, you can find her here:Instagram-@schoolofwhispers @__steef___ email-schoolofwhispers@gmail.com DISCLAIMER: This podcast is presented for educational and exploratory purposes only. What if the business you're building is serving your ego, but not your actual life? This episode will originally air on The Money Buddha Podcast on Thursday, hosted by Joline Cloutier, who we had on the recent episode 677 of the pod. We're resharing this conversation here because it was too good not to. Joline interviewed me about rebuilding a mortgage business after burnout, letting go of the hustle-for-hustle's-sake mindset, and how to create systems and content that match your energy, not your ego. It's an honest, practical look at what it really takes to build a business that supports your life. What We Cover: Burnout at the Peak – What 260 files a year taught her about limits and sustainability. Letting Go of the Hustle Persona – Why ego-driven growth nearly cost her everything. Ditching Discovery Calls – How automation and self-booking freed up her time. Content Without Comparison – Why she stopped forcing mortgage content and started being real. The Money Buddha Podcast – How podcasting gave her a voice, platform, and purpose. You don't need a bigger business, you need a business that fits your life. Sometimes the most empowered thing we can do is simply walk away—with grace, trust, and ease. In this episode, we explore how to honour those intuitive nudges that tell us when it's time to step back or move on. We talk about releasing the need to justify our choices, and how saying no, not now, or this isn't right for me can be an act of deep self-respect and alignment. We also invite more lightness into the process—remembering to laugh at ourselves, embrace curiosity, and let go of the constant need to know why things unfold the way they do. Through patience, trust, and a touch of playfulness, we discover that endings can be just as sacred as beginnings.Contest Details:To celebrate our 300th episode, we are running a contest which runs until episode #304:There are TWO opportunities to be a winner and receive a one hour session with each of us (separately). To enter, you need to send us one tip from any of our podcast episodes and tell us which episode it is from. Physician and coach Jessie Mahoney discusses her article "Stepping down in medicine is an evolution." In this episode, Jessie challenges the cultural belief that stepping down from medical roles is a sign of weakness, reframing it instead as "graduating." She explains how physicians often hold onto positions out of fear, habit, or identity attachment, even after the role no longer fuels them. Jessie shares how recognizing restlessness, depletion, or loss of joy can serve as invitations to evolve rather than warnings of failure. She introduces tools like Martha Beck's Body Compass to guide decision-making and advocates for normalizing transitions as a courageous act that benefits both physicians and their colleagues. Listeners will learn how letting go before burnout can open space for new growth, fulfillment, and trust in the medical community. Our presenting sponsor is Microsoft Dragon Copilot. It is our expectations of life that get us in trouble! If you didn't go into situations expecting things to go your way you wouldn't get so upset when they often don't. Expectations are a disease that we all have to varying degrees. Controlling dictator types are the worst, but you have it too, even in small things. We want family to behave certain ways, our work to go our way, even the weather to please us. It's all a set up for frustration and resentment. But we can do something about it. Send us a textSupport the showBe Encouraged podcast is practical, in the moment, thoughtful encouragement.
Hurts are real, and need healing. Injustice is real, and should be set right. Resentment does not lead to healing nor to justice. Resentment just holds on to the hurt so we are living in it. How can we let go?

What if a powerful and profound therapy session happened without saying a single word—just by standing in a field with a 1,200-pound mirror? In this deeply personal solo episode of HEAL with Kelly, I take you inside my transformative equine therapy session, where the horses became profound teachers of authenticity, protection, boundaries, and emotional release. You'll hear how one horse reflected back my inner critic, how another embodied a protective masculine energy I had never fully experienced before, and how these encounters helped me release grief, regulate my nervous system, and reconnect with my essence of joy and awe. Beyond the corral, I guide you through my process of conscious creation — from gratitude journaling to visualization practices, to the simple yet powerful phrase “Just Imagine.” You'll learn how imagination, elevated emotion, and gratitude combine to rewire the brain, shift your biochemistry, send new information into the invisible field around you, and open you up to new dimensions of infinite possibility. We'll explore how frustration, control, and timelines can block manifestation and why the key is to trust the field, not the how. I also share personal stories of loss, alignment, and rediscovery, revealing how consistent healing work and faith in divine intelligence create space for true miracles. In this special backstage episode of The Built Different Podcast, recorded at the AACC 2025 United World Conference, Dr. Zach Clinton sits down with a dear friend, Lysa TerKeurst — bestselling author, speaker, and Founder & President of Proverbs 31 Ministries. With over 7,000 Christian counselors, coaches, clinicians, pastors, and ministry leaders gathered in Nashville from around the world, this year’s conference has been a powerful time of worship, equipping, and encouragement. In this deeply personal conversation, Lysa opens up about one of the most difficult chapters of her life: walking through an unwanted divorce. As her newest book, Surviving an Unwanted Divorce, prepares to release on November 11th, Lysa shares with honesty and biblical clarity how God met her in the middle of heartbreak. Together, Dr. Zach and Lysa talk through: the journey of trusting God in seasons you never expected, what it looked like for Lysa to lead Proverbs 31 Ministries while navigating private pain, how Scripture speaks to and protects women in the context of divorce, common phrases that can unintentionally hurt, and how to truly support someone walking through divorce, God’s heart for those in unwanted divorce, and the hope available for the next step forward. This conversation is both biblically rich and emotionally honest, offering practical guidance, spiritual truth, and hope for anyone walking through — or walking with someone through — the pain of unwanted divorce.
