Anointing Service 3 | Apostle Moses Mukisa
Preached at THE ANOINTING & THE PRESENCE SERVICE, ANOINTED PEOPLE INTERNATIONAL
In this powerful exploration of Acts 6-8, we're confronted with the timeless struggle between truth and opposition. The story of Stephen, the first Christian martyr, serves as a profound reminder that standing firm in our faith often comes at a cost. We're challenged to consider: Are we ready to speak truth, even when it's unpopular? The wisdom of God, as demonstrated through Stephen, is unmatched - yet we're reminded that just because something is wise doesn't mean people will listen. This narrative compels us to examine our own lives. Are we open to being challenged by God's word? Are we allowing our faith to inform our worldview, rather than the other way around? As we witness Stephen's unwavering faith in the face of persecution, we're called to arm ourselves with the full armor of God, fighting spiritual battles with spiritual weapons. This message is a rallying cry for believers to step up, stand firm, and actively engage in sharing the gospel, even in the darkest of times. It's a reminder that what others may intend for evil, God can use for the advancement of His kingdom.
Today we begin a brand new series: The Life of David (The Making of a King). Other than Jesus, no one in Scripture has more written about them than David — over 60 chapters, more than 1,000 mentions, and countless lessons about leadership, worship, and walking with God. In this opening message, “The Call of a King,” Pastor Dustin Woodward shows us how God's call on David's life reminds us of our own calling: Key Scriptures: 1 Samuel 16:6–13 | Luke 16:10 | 2 Corinthians 1:21–22 3 Truths from David's Call: God sees possibility where others see limits — People look at outward appearance, but God looks at the heart. God finds you in the field — Faithfulness in small things prepares you for bigger things. The anointing reveals God's purpose — Anointing may not change your assignment overnight, but it always changes your identity. David's story proves this: you don't need the approval of people to be chosen by God. His call isn't about pedigree, popularity, or position — it's about His plan. “Anointing = God's empowerment for God's assignment.” Series Theme: This isn't just the story of David — it's the story of every believer learning how God shapes us through calling, character, and anointing to step into His purpose. Whether you're in the “field” waiting, in a season of testing, or walking in your calling, God is forming a king's heart inside of you.
The Procedure of the Anointing Part 1 by Strong Tower Bible Church

The sages derive halakhah from a brief phrase in a verse from Leviticus - on an "am ha-aretz," a commoner, or more specifically from a halakhic sense, a person who is not careful regarding certain aspects of Jewish law - and when he would bring a sin-offering to atone. This status excludes a "meshumad," an apostate, who can't atone with a sin-offering for a general intent to act against Torah. Though even the apostate can be selective in when he wants to observe Torah and when he is intent on breaking the given halakhah - for example, one who is willing to eat forbidden fat, but not willing to eat blood. Plus, an apostate vs. a heretic, where the first follows his desire, while the second is antagonistic to Torah. Also, a new mishnah! More on the anointed kohen - namely, one who was made kohen gadol with the anointing oil, and not what happened later, in the Second Temple period, where the kohen gadol was inaugurated by wearing the 8 garments of the kohen gadol, as there was no anointing oil then. Note the differences (or lack thereof) between the kohanim in the different eras. Plus, the anointing of a king, and the anointing in the future...

In Part 5 of The Emblems of the Holy Spirit series, Pastor Kong Hee shares on the anointing of the Holy Spirit. If oil is the emblem, the anointing is the substance—the real work of God within us, transforming our hearts and lives. We need two kinds of anointing: the anointing within and the anointing upon—and both come through the Holy Spirit.

The Significance of the Altar The word "altar" (A-L-T-A-R) and "altered" (A-L-T-E-R) are homophones, highlighting the connection between going to the altar and being changed. Altar (A-L-T-A-R) is a place for prayer. Altered (A-L-T-E-R) means to edit or change. Hebrews 13:8-15 was referenced. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hearts should be established with grace, not with meats. Christ suffered without the gate to sanctify the people. Offer a sacrifice of praise continually, giving thanks to God's name. Altars in Genesis and the Importance of Thanksgiving Altars are mentioned 10 times in Genesis. Cain and Abel had to have an altar for their sacrifices, even though it's not explicitly stated. The altar is not being used properly or enough today. Noah offered a sacrifice for thanksgiving after the flood. The altar should be used more for giving thanks and seeking God. A reminder is needed to pray more and offer intentional thanksgiving and prayer to God. Time should be spent seeking God instead of other things. The Anointing and Being with Jesus Everyone wants the anointing, which is the presence of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit empowers witnessing and sharing what God has done in one's life. The Holy Spirit works through those who spend time with God. People should be known for having been with Jesus. The impact of one's presence should leave behind the presence of God. Like John the Baptist, one must decrease so that God may increase. Cain and Abel: Attitudes Towards God Cain and Abel's story illustrates the importance of proper motivation and attitude towards God. Cain's offering was rejected because he knew God but did not glorify Him. Abel offered a sacrifice with gratitude and dependence on God. Abel knew he had nothing good to offer. Abel's sacrifice was acceptable because of his attitude. Noah: Faithfulness and Salvation Noah preached for 120 years while building the ark. Noah's story is one of enduring hardship and trusting in God. Noah was saved, and his children were saved with him. Noah had access to God. Access to God and the Altar Born of incorruptible seed, believers have access to the throne of God for prayer, thanksgiving, and supplication. Even the smallest concerns can be brought to God. God cares deeply for His people. The altar in the Old Testament was a place where God encountered man. The Holy Spirit is the glory of God living inside believers. The encounter with God at the altar brings relief, deliverance, and the kingdom of God. Old things pass away, and all things become new. The Purpose of Altars and Offerings Altars were places of burnt offerings (Noah) and offerings for sin (Cain and Abel). Cain and Abel knew what had been lost through their parents' sin. There are many unanswered questions about the early world. Focus should be on holiness, love, and seeking things above. Directions from God are pinpointed and laser-beam guiding. Prayer and Warfare Revelation speaks of an altar where the prayers of the saints ascend to God. Jacob built an altar after encountering God and seeing angels ascending and descending. Angels do the bidding and work of God. Each person has an angel that beholds their face in the presence of God. Engage in warfare against discord, which has infiltrated the house of God. Thoughts and imaginations that oppose God's love should be pulled down. Everything should be brought before the Lord in prayer. If you think you don't have anything to pray about, you are deceived. Some people are not praying or seeking God's kingdom. Trouble, heartache, pain, and suffering are inevitable. Guilt, shame, and other negative emotions separate people from God. Relationship with God vs. Works Some people do things in the house of God without a relationship with God. God hears every prayer,

HOW TO CULTIVATE THE ANOINTING?
Tapping into the Anointing for an Abundant Life Dr. Edith Davis shares a profound teaching on the anointing, emphasizing that every believer has this divine power within them. She breaks down the significance of Jesus's anointing and how it's meant to transform our lives today. Here are the key takeaways from this message: -- The anointing is not just for a select few; it is in every person who has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. -- The key to receiving and keeping divine healing, health, and wealth is aligning our soul—our mind, will, and emotions—with God's Word. -- The anointing has the power to break yokes of bondage, including poverty, brokenheartedness, and spiritual captivity. -- The Greek word for poverty, ptochos, describes a state of utter destitution that the anointing can completely reverse. -- The Greek word for brokenhearted, suntribo, depicts a person who is crushed and ground down, whom the anointing can heal and restore. -- The anointing also delivers those held captive by addiction, pornography, sickness, and other forms of bondage. -- We must walk in forgiveness and faith, not slander or disbelief, to experience the full manifestation of God's blessings. -- The anointing is available right now to break off any sickness, disease, pain, or depression in your life. MNV Pastors discuss how the Anointing of God flows through you when you serve God and His people.
On this episode of the CityLight Podcast, Pastor Bo shares a powerful message on the life-changing difference of the anointing. From Moses at the burning bush to the disciples in the Upper Room, Scripture shows us that while God’s presence fills the earth, His anointing - His manifest presence - rests where there is faith, hunger, and humility. This anointing heals the brokenhearted, opens prison doors, brings joy for mourning, and turns ashes into beauty. It is the oil of God’s Spirit that empowered Jesus’ ministry—and it’s still available for us today. Discover how to seek this anointing with a faith that draws breakthrough and ushers in lasting transformation.(00:00) The Power of the Anointing(12:22) The Transformative Power of Anointing(21:26) The Anointing and Feeling God's Presence(36:00) Connecting With City Light Churchhttps://citylightnyc.com/
In this week's sermon, we explore Isaiah 61:1-4, unpacking how the Spirit's anointing empowers ordinary people for extraordinary mission—binding up the brokenhearted, lifting the afflicted, and rebuilding ruined cities. The invitation is the same now as then: not just to know about God's hand, but to experience it. Because when God touches us, transformed people transform society.
Guiding Question: What does it really mean to experience the Shepherd's care in our lives—and how do we follow Him to the high ground of faith? Summary Description: Robert Lewis unpacks Psalm 23:5 in this deeply reflective and encouraging message, helping believers understand how God's care is both profoundly personal and powerfully transformative. This message explores the imagery of the Shepherd preparing a table, anointing with oil, and filling the cup to overflowing—each symbolizing how God provides, heals, and blesses His people. Lewis begins by reminding the congregation that biblical belief is inseparable from action—true belief means following. With humor and honesty, he describes how failing to follow leads to isolation and trouble. He then dives into the three word pictures in Psalm 23:5: the table, representing the Shepherd's advance preparation; the oil, symbolizing healing through the Holy Spirit; and the cup, representing a life overflowing with God's presence and provision. The message is rich with applications, including stories of healing from conflict and emotional wounds. One particularly powerful example involves a pastor reconciling with his aging father—a real-life picture of how the Shepherd's care restores brokenness. Outline: Intro & Psalm Recitation – Congregational reading of Psalm 23 to frame the message. The Psalm's Two Big Themes – Following and experiencing “better.” Defining Biblical Belief – Belief equals following; passive faith is unbiblical. Three Word Pictures in Psalm 23:5: The Table – God's provision prepared in advance, like lush tablelands for sheep. The Oil – Healing for irritations and infections; symbolic of the Holy Spirit. The Cup – A life that overflows with God's presence, peace, and hope. Personal and Pastoral Stories – Including the Civil War letter from Robert's family, illustrating God's care even in death. Practical Application – Believe in God's preparation and keep applying the Spirit's "oil" through surrender and listening. Key Takeaways Biblical belief always leads to action—it means following Jesus as Shepherd. God's care is active, intentional, and preemptive; He prepares “tablelands” for our good. The Holy Spirit is our healing oil, bringing peace amid irritations and freedom from infections like unresolved conflict or unrepentant sin. When we follow, our lives overflow with spiritual abundance, even in hardship. Yielding to God through quiet, honest reflection is the pathway to ongoing spiritual vitality. The Shepherd's care reaches all the way to eternity—our future home is already being prepared. Scriptural References Psalm 23:5 – “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies…” John 10:10 – Jesus came to give life “more abundantly.” John 14:2–3 – Jesus prepares a place for His followers. Ephesians 2:10 – God has prepared good works in advance for us. Revelation 19:9 – The marriage supper of the Lamb. 2 Corinthians 1:21–22 – Anointing and sealing by the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:14 – Led by the Spirit of God. Recorded 6/5/05

Anointing Service | Apostle Moses Mukisa
Episode 254: Unpacking the AnointingIn this intentional exploration of the anointing, we are challenged to deepen our understanding of God's supernatural touch on our lives. The key message revolves around the idea that the anointing isn't just for special occasions or specific ministries - it's a vital aspect of our daily Christian walk. Drawing from Jesus' own words in Luke 4, we see that even Christ relied on the anointing of the Holy Spirit for His earthly ministry. This revelation invites us to consider: how much more do we need this divine empowerment? This episode of Mavericks & Misfits emphasizes that the anointing is not just about receiving, but also about our willingness to consecrate ourselves. It's a beautiful dance of hunger and discipline, where our desire for God's touch meets our commitment to holiness.
The anointing doesn't wait—it activates in motion. In this dynamic episode, On the Move, we unpack the supernatural power that's released when you step out by faith, obeying the Word of the Lord even when the path isn't fully visible. From Abraham's journey to the apostles' bold obedience, the oil flows when your feet move. If you've been waiting for a sign, this is it. God is calling His people to rise, go, and trust that provision, protection, and power will meet them in the going. Whether you're launching a ministry, shifting seasons, or simply saying “yes” to His whisper, this episode will ignite your spirit and remind you: the anointing is in the obedience. How do you respond to that broad objection? 17:00 – Let's start at the foundation — where in Scripture do we see the idea that God communicates grace through outward signs? 23:40 – Baptism is accepted by most Christians, but Catholics see it as more than a symbol. What's the biblical evidence for baptism actually saving us? 42:28 – Many people say Confirmation is just a Catholic “add-on.” What are the scriptural roots for a sacrament distinct from baptism? 06:23 – When it comes to the Eucharist, the biblical debate can get intense. How do you show from Scripture that Jesus meant His words—“This is my body”—literally? 16:50 – But what about when Jesus says, “Do this in remembrance of me”? How do the Scriptures present this sacrament, and does it match Catholic practice? 41:42 – Marriage as a sacrament—some say the Bible just sees it as a natural institution. How do you show from Scripture that it's a channel of grace? 48:10 – Holy Orders—where in the Bible do we see a distinct, ordained priesthood in the New Covenant?
