This month we played Resident Evil 5 so that Devan could practice playing survival horror games without being too scared.
This month we played House Flipper, Surgeon Simulator 2, PowerWash Simulator, Farming Simulator 22, Lawn Mowing Simulator, Cooking Simulator, Train Sim World 2, and Microsoft Flight Simulator. Some we loved and some, not so much.
This month we played some coop Outriders and compared it to other looter shooters that we liked better (Destiny, Borderlands, Diablo, and The Division)
This month we played Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms by Codename Entertainment, Clicker Heroes by Playsaurus, and Cookie Clicker by Orteil. You don't so much play these games as monitor them and let them play themselves. Occasional check ins and upgrades are really all that these games ask of you. These games will continue to progress while you tend to your own real life problems.
This month we're talking Undertale, developed by Toby Fox and published by 8-4, Ltd. This much loved turn based RPG is very unique to say the least. It will make you laugh, cry and more often than not leave you scratching your head.
This month we're back to finish our list of favorite games, we start in the early 2000's and manage to get to the present. All wrapped up in a tidy 75 minute episode!
This month we got a bit off track and didn't have time to finish Undertale, but we will be back to talk about it next month. Instead, we're taking some time off from gaming to talk about our favorite games of all time...well, all our time anyway.
This month I played the Hitman Trilogy, developed and published by IO Interactive. This was recommended by TheDungyMastaJD in Discord. In this game you play as Agent 47, master of disguise, sneaking and killing.
The Horizon line of Forza games began in 2012 which was the first open world game in the series. These 5 games take place in large open worlds based on real-life locations. Forza Horizon 5 being set in the beautiful Mexico. You are free to explore the environment, enter races solo or with other players and complete objectives at your leisure.
This month we played the much beloved pixelated work of art by ConcernedApe. To say this was a farming simulator would be over simplifying. While the game is centered around your character inheriting a farm and having a go at it, there are so many more aspects to this beautiful 2D game.
We're calling these games jerk simulators because they gave us all what we really wanted. The ability to unapologetically be a jerk to everyone we meet. Whether it was a goose, a rain cloud or a hole in the ground, we lived out our jerkiest fantasies in these short, harmless cute little games.
A classic first person shooter set in the 1960's in the fictional underwater dystopian city of Rapture.
These games were creepy, eerie, make your skin crawl and your stomach hurt side scrollers. One achieving this with very little detail and one with far too much.
These games were a throwback to the 2D and 3D platformers of the 90's following a cute lizard and bat power duo in their quest to collect a bunch of feathers and pages and overthrow the tyrant Capital B.
Our 10th episode! What?? Thanks for being with us on this crazy ride and lets shoot for 10 more! This week we talk about Ori and the Blind Forest, a heartwarming platformer (Metroidvania) journey with enjoyable yet challenging mechanics.
This week I played Hypnospace Outlaw on Xbox One Developed by Tendershoot, ThatWhichIs Media & Michael Lasch and published by No More Robots. This was a nostalgic deep dive into the internet of the late nineties.
A cute little puzzle game that was challenging at times but full of the good feels and oh so many puns.
An interactive story game full of dark spooky hallways and lots and lots of jump scares.
This week we tried out 3 goofy physics games. Who knew that pressing buttons and picking up boxes could be so difficult and so hilarious at the same time?
A remake of the original 90's games that stayed true to their roots while adding a Saturday morning cartoon vibe. Not just your average beat-em-up, this game had many genre's in its various levels that were fun to play and also challenging at times. Fun for the whole family.
A point a click adventure with some puzzle elements and a mystery subplot. I feel like this was less a game and more a piece of art, and like most art, I was left confused and a bit dizzy.
A beautifully moving story full of intrigue and secrets. Although it was difficult to talk about on a podcast, it is still definitely worth playing!
Join us as we discuss the challenging, fast paced, humor-filled samurai slasher that is Katana Zero. We loved talking about this almost as much as we loved playing it.
