Also was hättet ihr rückblickend gerne schon damals gewusst oder verstanden?
2025 Rerun Notes: In anticipation of this month's incoming C1E99: "Listener Picks - vol 3", we are rerunning both previous installments of the Listener Picks trilogy this month! Today's rerun is the inaugural installment, from all the way back in 2018. It features a semi-standard intro and outro, and a standard mixtape - with the exception of the fact that every track is selected by the listeners (40 tracks - 18 contributors) - and that the intro and outro are guest-curated by a collage of 11 of those same 18 contributors. It was also, at the time, the longest non-retrospective episode in show history - and featured a long, glorious outtakes reel at the end! C1E99 will share a great many of these same attributes! It will feature 70 tracks, collectively selected by 8 listeners (6 of which also contributed to today's rerun (and 3 of which were also featured in vol 2). At just under 3.5hrs, it will also be the longest mixtape in non-retrospective Ch 1 history (even if this new record nearly doubles the [then] record which the 2018 episode set). And it will also feature a semi-standard intro and outro, largely guest-hosted by a collage of the contributing listeners. In fact, unlike today's rerun, this time every single track contributor also contribute their voices to the intro and outro (except for the one which prizes anonimity and requested a text-to-speech be used in his place). And I also anticipate 99 to feature a fairly decent outtakes reel - though not quite as robust and spectacular as today's rerun. So, where vol 2 is less a "sequel" to vol 1 per se, and more of an "omake" (or an "outtakes") of vol 1, the upcoming vol 3 will be the true sequel to today's rerun. The long-awaited "echo". The "let's do this exact same thing one more time". In fact, due to a joint failure of double-checking from both St. John and the contributing listener, C1E99 will even feature one track that was featured in today's rerun. So be on the look out for that and see if you can spot which one it is before the reveal! And yes, it even was the same contributing listener in both episodes! D'oh! :-) Lastly, as always: all the usual caveats about how much worse my production quality was back in 2018 than it is today, and not to judge the current state of NNR production quality by this rerun. If you are new, and this is your first exposure to NNR, and you enjoyed the content, but were put off by the production, either go back and listen to a recent episode, such as C1E98 or C1E96....or perhaps even better, keep your eyes peeled for C1E99, which is basically this all over again, but at 2025's far improved production quality standards! And with that, please enjoy the absolute block party that is C1E40 - Listener Picks - vol 1, and keep an eye out for the trilogy's incoming 2nd (rerun) and 3rd (fresh) installments! Cheers! Cheers! -------------------------------------------------------------- Original Show Notes: Today's broadcast is Episode 40 for Theme Thursday, December 20th, 2018. Feed will include Channels 1, 2, 3, and any future channels not yet planned. Feed will also include podcasts in high quality, stereo where applicable, and episodes will never expire off the feed. Therefore it is STRONGLY recommended that you subscribe to this Nerd Noise Radio feed and bypass all others. This one will contain all their content anyway. Option 2: If you're ONLY interested in Channel 1 ("Noise from the Hearts of Nerds") episodes, and not in any of the other content that is or will be offered by Nerd Noise Radio, there is a Channel 1-specific feed. But it's hosted on a free account, rather than an upgraded account like the "All Channels Feed" with lower quality sound (mono, I believe), a maximum 2hrs per month of content (so if the month's episodes run longer than that, they may need to be trimmed), and episodes expire off the feed forever after 90 days. It is STRONGLY recommended for most listeners to subscribe to the All-Channels feed instead. However, if you really are only interested in Channel 1 content, here's the RSS: http://www.buzzsprout.com/77944.rss Our episodes will also appear on our Nerd Noise Radio YouTube Channel - just search for Nerd Noise Radio, you'll find us! Here's today's episode: [LINK] Additionally, there are YouTube Playlists you can follow, both an "All Channels" Feed (recommended), as well as channel-specific feeds. It's time for another Mind Gap Podcast! This week, Doug and Justin kick things off with two stories. Doug shares a recent interaction at the grocery store where Justice Doug took the wheel and drove directly into confrontation. Justin then jumps in with an anecdote about his recent car trade-in which just about breaks Practical Doug. All the Dougs are featured in this week's episode! The dorks then pivot to their main topic of the worst fictional disease you could catch in real life. They go through everything from the T-Virus in Resident Evil to cordyceps from The Last of Us to Greyscale from Game of Thrones. Things are wrapped up with a new game called Patch Notes: Real Life Edition, where Doug reads out patch notes for real life and Justin has to decide if they're good or if they should be scrapped as garbage. Check out our YouTube channel where we livestream our new podcast episodes every Tuesday at 8pmCT and our video game stream every Saturday at 8pmCT. Spel som nämns i avsnittet: GTA, Red Dead Redemption 2, Overcooked, Mass Effect, Resident Evil 1, Mystery Dungeon, House of Necrosis, An English Haunting, Egging on (fast inte så mycket). In just one week, both officially and unofficially, Sony may have signaled that they, too, are looking towards the future with the PlayStation 6, and they've done so by fully unlocking Cloud Streaming on the PlayStation Portal as well. Is the PlayStation Portal now the best value in all of gaming? Plus, could Sony truly be exploring Cross-Buy with their PC Games? Or even introducing a PlayStation PC Storefront? Sean and Marc discuss what this could mean for PS6. We are also doing a special segment this week discussing the 10 Games That Define Us. How many RPGs are going to show up on Sean's list? Will Marc have a Sonic game on his? And which Resident Evil is Randy going to choose? Definitely worth checking out for sure.Plus, Rockstar has delayed Grand Theft Auto VI until November 19, 2025, a report from Bloomberg also alleges Rockstar may have fired over 30 employees for union busting. Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch 1 keep hitting milestones, more game delays, more layoffs, Overcooked getting a reality show, and a whole lot more! You can also watch this episode in video form on the W2M Network Youtube Channel, please give us a like, comment on the episode, and give the channel a subscribe and follow as well: https://youtube.com/live/nktlDOGc5_QListen as a podcast and give us a review on these platforms... Mafia - The old country. In den aktuellen Spielen berichtet Manuel diese Woche, ob The Séance of Blake Manor seine Erwartungen erfüllen konnte, während Daniel nach Jahren ein weiteres Resident Evil Spiel beendet hat.Viel Spaß!Was wird denn hier gespielt?04:17 Daniels Meinung zu Resident Evil 723:23 Manuels hat The Séance of Blake Manor gespielt und beendetNachrichten aus der Spielebranche49:44 GTA 6 wurde wieder verschoben1:07:03 …so auch Marvel 1943 - Ryse of Hydra1:10:26 …und Terminator 2D No Fate1:13:00 Rockstar antwortet auf die „Unionbusting“-Vorwürfe1:19:40 Square Enix baut weiter Kapazitäten im Westen ab1:42:52 Der Support für Halo Infinite wird beendet1:35:15 Playstation Portal nun offiziell mit Cloudstreaming1:39:54 Take 2 verkündet gute Zahlen, auch dank Mafia - The old country1:48:02 Nintendo wartet mit irre hohen Absatzzahlen der Switch 2 aufExtrafreunde@social.colognehttps://www.facebook.com/Extrafreundehttps://www.instagram.com/extrafreundeffelpodcast@gmail.comhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGusrYncNi-relSm6YC8k7Q

This week on SUPAPOD, we're talking big updates — Animal Crossing is getting a Switch 2 edition, Resident Evil gets a triple pack, and Fortnite turns into Springfield! and lots more.
My Fellow Americans is serviceable mismatched duo comedy starring James Garner and Jack Lemmon as two former Presidents on the run from some nefarious government agents. As former political rivals, Russell P. Kramer (Lemmon) and Matt Douglas (Garner) are thrust together after Kramer is framed for a bribe he didn't take. Some decent laughs and witty repartee ensue. This is very much Grumpy Old Men with Presidents and not neighbors. But, hey, that's a winning formula after all! My Fellow Americans, however, did not attain nearly the success of its inspiration. Hence its appearance on this pod. Now, sit back, reflect on your legacy with a Leinenkugel Summer Shandy, and buy that cook book! The Thunderous Wizard, Chumpzilla, and Bling Blake are somewhere over the rainbow! This Week's Segments: Introduction/Plot Breakdown – A comedy about life, liberty, and the pursuit of two ex-presidents! Lingering Questions – Who would get our vote: Kramer or Douglas? (25:38) The "Hail to the Chief" Trivia Challenge – Bling Blake challenges the field to trivia about the movie. (40:45) Recommendations – We offer our picks for the week and next up: We kickoff our Hops and Biohazard Flops series with a double feature — Resident Evil and Resident Evil Apocalypse! (57:56) And, as always, hit us up on Threads, X, Facebook, Bluesky, or Instagram to check out all the interesting factoids from this week's episode!

Welcome to Dev Game Club, where this week we finish our series on Deadly Premonition. We talk a bit about the main story, the life sim, how we get around and more before turning to takeaways. Dev Game Club looks at classic video games and plays through them over several episodes, providing commentary. Sections played: To Ch 21 (Tim) and only Ch 8 (Brett) Issues covered: Cry-baby Timothy, pre-show announcements, the game coming more quickly at the end, prime time television and Twin Peaks, describing an actual puzzle, the feeling of a web of connections between people both surface and hidden, the Ingram twins and their grandfather and Kaysen, dialogue with characters on their life sim paths, having the spatial awareness of the town vs not in television, you get to live in the town, the limitations of the driving model, wanting a simpler driving model, having conversation while the character is being driven instead, an unpolished gem, when time pauses vs when it will advance and keeping you unsettled, dealing with open world games with day/night cycles and running into the time problem, being unclear what other games this inspired, a different kind of mature, leaning into the quirk (and your constraints), stunt comedy, not getting enough of this sort of game, integrating the player into the town, inspirations with a twist. Games, people, and influences mentioned or discussed: Video Game History Foundation, Rocksmith, Twin Peaks, David Lynch, Mark Frost, Resident Evil, Yakuza (series), Breaking Bad, The Last of Us, Nick Offerman, Gilmore Girls, Red Dead Redemption, Assassin's Creed, L. A. Noire, Mars Attacks, GTA 3, Shenmue, Dungeons & Dragons, Tolkien, Star Wars, Alien, Blade Runner, Artimage, Cult of the Lamb, Angie Nash, Kirk Hamilton, Aaron Evers, Mark Garcia. In this most terrifying and seasonally appropriate episode, Off the Deep End delves into the origins of every single spooky video game to ever be made, probably. It turns out Sweet Home isn't just a bit of trivia you bring up when talking about the origins of Resident Evil, it's also a RPG! Adam, Braden, and Chris not only played the 1989 Famicom title, they also watched the movie it's based on! One of these things is better than the other, and you'll have to listen to find out! Also featuring: bad singing. This week on the Boss Rush Podcast: Corey Dirrig, LeRon Dawkins, and Patrick Klein dive into how two iconic franchises—Grand Theft Auto and Fallout—remain forever rooted in American culture. Rockstar's Dan Houser and Bethesda's Todd Howard both reaffirm that their series simply wouldn't work outside the U.S., with GTA's satirical take on “Americana” and Fallout's atomic-age paranoia defining their worlds. The crew also breaks down Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella's comments that Xbox's biggest rival isn't PlayStation but TikTok, as the gaming industry now battles for players' attention rather than console dominance. Plus, new data shows remakes vastly outpacing remasters in revenue on PS5, proving players crave fully reimagined classics like Resident Evil 4 and Silent Hill 2. The Nintendo Switch edges toward breaking DS sales records, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond's latest trailer amps up the hype ahead of launch, and Hideo Kojima reacts to learning that Konami once rejected a Matrix game pitch. All this and more, this week on The Boss Rush Podcast!Follow our Hosts:Corey Dirrig, Founder of Boss Rush Media and the Boss Rush NetworkLeRon Dawkins, VP of Technology and Culture at Boss Rush NetworkPatrick Klein, Games Manager at Boss Rush NetworkJoin the Boss Rush Community: Join the Boss Rush Network Community DiscordFollow Boss Rush Network: Follow Boss Rush Network on X/Twitter, Bluesky, Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads, and InstagramSupport Boss Rush Network:Support Boss Rush on Patreon and buy merch on our Store. Of moeten we hier echt snel mee gaan stoppen? Het antwoord krijg je in deze video.

Show Notes On this week's podcast, Dan and Kris fire up this year's Halloween Special! What's so special about it? They didn't prepare anything, so they just made it up on the fly. They talked a lot about scalpers though. And what's more terrifying than that? Then, in Week Old News, Blizzard unionizes some more, an old Resident Evil phone game has been saved, Mario goes to Macy's, and Microsoft breaks the record for most awful news in a single week. Finally, in the Checkpoint, Dan and Kris talk about the show's eventual move to video, Kris talks about another eventual move to his desk, and Dan, well, he's pissed. Enjoy! Welcome back to Geekz 31 Days of Horror! Tonight, we're unlocking the doors to one of Japan's most fascinating and underrated haunted-house horrors — Sweet Home (1989), directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa and produced by Juzo Itami. A documentary crew enters an abandoned mansion once owned by a reclusive artist, hoping to uncover lost paintings for their TV special. But when they disturb the restless spirit of the artist's wife, the crew faces grotesque hauntings, fiery deaths, and supernatural vengeance that will test both courage and sanity.
With Xbox's famous ringworld officially arriving on PlayStation 5 in 2026, we can rest assured that Sony's longtime rival has finally conceded the console space for good. Halo: Campaign Evolved -- clever! -- is a ground-up remake of the smash-hit 2001 Xbox launch title, and it comes with some new bells and whistles, including fresh content and a four-player online-enabled campaign. Microsoft even trotted Halo's community manager out in a PlayStation shirt, promised all upcoming Halo content is Sony-bound, and yielded perhaps their last meaningful franchise to the competition. This gives us much to discuss! Plus: Helldivers 2 dev Arrowhead begins work on its next project, Horizon's live-action movie is slated to film next year and launch in '27, Resident Evil 0 Remake rumors are percolating, we may be waiting a while longer for Starfield's PS5 debut, Electronic Arts scores a renewed deal with the NFL to continue the Madden franchise, and more. Then: Listener inquiries! Why does anyone care about Photo Mode? What's our dream PowerWash Simulator 2 DLC? Is it okay to play a game without delving into its greater meaning and themes? Will Chris ever return from New York? Released in the United States 20 years to the day, the PS2 version of Resident Evil 4 marked a major first in the Biohazard series - the first subsequent re-release with a major canonical add-on in the form of the wonderful Separate Ways campaign. At the time whilst such a notion greatly annoyed GameCube owners, many saw Separate Way as the extra that "saved the game" in terms of connection to the overall Resident Evil lore. 20 years on, REP once again make their way back to Spain to replay this short and sweet Ada adventure beginning to end. We recount our tales with tips and tricks from various platforms - that is if Neptune does not have any issues playing with a WaveBird controller. News includes the surprising revelation that Switch 2 is getting a Requiem release - as well more updates from Survival Unit - much to STARS TyranT's dismay!

I couldn't put it down and now I get why so many say it set the bar for remakes all those years ago.The OG Resident Evil is one of the most important (and fun) games ever made IMO, and Remake improves on practically every aspect of it. INCREDIBLE graphics, better controls, slightly less cheesy voice acting, and more. It takes all the ingredients in a great bowl of soup and someone makes them even greater. I don't know if I'd call this the place for newcomers to the series to start because of the tank controls, but I think it's an absolutely must-play for horror fans and one of the best in the series.RTG's resident evil, my buddy Patrick, is my guest this week. We have different opinions on some entries in the Resident Evil series, but we both agree this remake is top shelf. One of us doesn't care for the mansion setting though, and the other thinks that's crazy. And before we kill zombies, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week someone asks what Nintendo needs to do to stop being a villain? After their horrible year, do I still like Xbox more than PlayStation? And why didn't I launch the indie game podcast I was considering??Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features 3 of the lesser-known Resident Evil entries: Survivor, Outbreak, and The Umbrella Chronicles.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Resident Evil is one of the most well-known survival horror video game series of all time, spawning a legion of films. The first movie featured Rain Ocampo, a no-nonsense mercenary who perhaps bit off more than she could chew while investigating Umbrella Corporations facility full of zombies and a murderous AI.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
