In this episode, we revisit the Rose Petal Murder case with Troy Styles of Blunt Force Media to discuss significant new developments that could reshape the case. In February 2025, after brief deliberations, a Greenville County jury convicted Zachary Hughes of the October 2021 murder of Christina Parcell. Hughes was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. The case has now been remanded to the circuit court, where a judge will determine whether newly discovered evidence, following the victim's fiancé's recent guilty plea, warrants a new trial. Hughes' direct appeal has been placed on hold pending that decision. One of the issues raised on appeal is Hughes' claim that he was not permitted to present a complete defense at trial. Consumer demand, financial viability and a functioning ecosystem are crucial for an innovation to move from the drawing board to a commercially viable reality.That's according to INSEAD professors Manuel Sosa and Adrian Johnson, in their conversation with Harsh Shah, a leading expert on Hydrogen fuel in the aviation sector. In this INSEAD Knowledge podcast, they discussed Airbus's 2020 public commitment to bring the world's first hydrogen-powered commercial aircraft to market by 2035.  Despite making major strides in developing the technical innovations needed to achieve this aim, Airbus ultimately had to push back their deadline due to challenges beyond their control. Sosa explains that this case underlines the fact that any company introducing innovations needs to consider the desirability, feasibility and viability framework of innovation if it has any real chance of success.As Shah put it, they were faced with a classic chicken-and-egg scenario: Airlines wouldn't commit without infrastructure, and infrastructure wouldn't get built without demand. In this episode of HFS Unfiltered Stories, Divya Iyer, Practice Leader at HFS Research, is joined by Tom Scazzafavo, Global Financial Crime Managed Services Leader, EY, for a candid look at why financial crime compliance keeps failing to deliver, and how AI is changing the equation. The conversation follows EY's recognition as a Horizon 3 Market Leader in the HFS Horizons Financial Crime Compliance Services 2026 report. Tom's diagnosis is pointed: institutions have poured money into compliance for over a decade, yet enforcement actions haven't fallen, because the investment was incremental rather than transformational. Firms layered new tech on fragmented processes, legacy systems, and inconsistent data, so spending rose while the operating model never changed. He traces it to three root causes: data trapped in silos, inefficient manual processes, and incentives that reward throughput over real risk reduction. Tom is clear-eyed about AI's reality, too, separating where it genuinely works today (alert reduction, entity resolution, and network analytics, and generative AI that speeds investigations) from where ambition outruns reality (fully autonomous decisioning and scaling across jurisdictions). His verdict: AI is powerful, but it's no silver bullet, and humans stay in the loop for a while yet. He shares EY's “AI trust and governance” approach, treating each agent like a customer in a KYC process, and closes with a sharp look ahead: criminals adopting AI as fast as institutions through synthetic identities and deepfakes, the rise of real-time payments and digital assets, and widening cross-border regulatory divergence. Today we take a look at what we can expect over the next couple of years. Displays: Brighter, Wireless, and Modular Ultra-thin wireless OLEDs: LG's OLED evo W6, also called the Wallpaper TV, is part of their 2026 evo lineup. It's incredibly thin — just 9 millimeters thick — and features a true wireless design. All your devices plug into a separate Zero Connect Box that can sit up to 10 meters away. The box then sends 4K video and audio wirelessly to the TV with almost no quality loss. The TV also includes Hyper Radiant Color Technology. This delivers much higher brightness — up to 3.9 times brighter than standard OLEDs — along with deeper black levels and fewer reflections. For gamers, it supports 4K at 165 Hertz, G-SYNC, and very fast response times. MicroLED and RGB advancements: MicroLED displays — including variants like Micro RGB or TriChroma — are becoming popular for luxury home theater setups. They deliver perfect blacks like OLED screens, but with much higher brightness, no burn-in risk, and modular designs that let you create custom sizes, such as 136-inch or even larger cinema walls. Brands like LG with their MAGNIT Active Micro LED, Samsung, and Sony are leading the way, offering seamless, cinema-certified picture quality. Consumer versions are still quite expensive — often six figures for a full wall — but they're becoming more realistic and affordable over time. Mini RGB: These TVs are poised to be a big hit because they combine the best of both worlds: the perfect blacks and contrast of OLED with the extreme brightness, longevity, and modular flexibility of MicroLED-style RGB technology. By using advanced Mini RGB LED backlighting, Mini RGB delivers stunning HDR performance, vibrant colors, and seamless large-screen designs ideal for luxury home theaters — all without burn-in worries. Sony's reputation for premium picture processing, cinema-grade calibration, and build quality gives their Mini RGB  a clear edge over competitors, making these TVs the top choice for serious enthusiasts who want theater-like visuals that will stay impressive for years to come. A new report from a trusted gaming industry analyst projects PlayStation 6 to launch in 2028 and sell only four million units in its first calendar year on the market. When you consider that even PS3 managed to sell three and a half million units in a mere four months, well, it might be a tough row to hoe. And when you take into account that this analysis assumes PS6 will sell for between $600 and $800, Sony may be in for a rude awakening indeed. We discuss.
