There is a good suffering and a bad suffering. You get to choose which one you experience. From 1 Peter 3:17 we discover the type of suffering God blesses and find the hope that's available as we go through it.
What does it mean to have a good or clear conscience and how does it aid us in our effort to share the hope of the gospel with others?

How can you experience the good life? Peter pulls out a quote from Psalm 34 to give us four key practices to incorporate into our life to make it full and meaningful .
Peter gives us a warning about getting even man's way. In contrast he shows what it looks like along with the benefits of blessing those who do us wrong.
In our conduct with other believers we are to have unity. In this verses, Peter talks about the 5 catalysts that will fuel unity amongst the church.
Now what does Peter have to say to husbands? How can the way husbands treat their wives affect their relationship with God? In one verse Peter paints a clear picture of how a godly husband should love his wife.

Our manner of life and behavior truly matters. Not just for our own spiritual health and life but to make the gospel appealing to non-believers. Let's break down what Paul is talking about here in verse 12.
What is the outflow of our identity in Christ? It is the doing of his will and abstaining from sinful desires. These desires are at war against our soul and so we must go to war to counter attack them because all they do is bring death and destruction in our life.
