Today I speak with Christopher Curtis as we check into the third of Hex, Mute, Nova, Beatz, and Killswitch and the city of Neo Haven as portals have been releasing Kaiju type Monsters into the city. The Mayor is instructed to relay any info he has through a heavily influenced Cabal who shadow run the metropolis. Killswitch in Issue 2 is surprisingly attacked by the Mayor's Chief of staff who has a secret familiarity to her and the team has slightly disbanded. Christopher and I also have a discussion about the Indie Manga space as popular youtubers may feel the exposure online allows them to skip a step into anime. We continue by discussing the difference between Traditional Japanese Manga and American styled Manga.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/the-faqs-project-hosted-by-james-grandmaster-faqs-boyce/donations

In this episode of the Say Yes to Holiness podcast, Christina Semmens sits down with Edmund Mitchell, Founder of Zealous Parish Ministries and have a conversation about Edmund's journey from being a cradle Catholic to becoming a passionate parish minister. They discuss the importance of evangelization within the parish, the mission of the parish to save souls, and the transition from maintenance to mission-oriented churches. This conversation was especially near and dear to my heart due to my work at The Catholic Leadership Puzzle, so was excited to give Edmund a chance to introduce his new initiative, Zealous Parish Ministers, aimed at supporting parish ministers in their roles. Edmund also emphasized the need for continuous formation and skill development in ministry. The conversation highlights the significance of vision casting and various roles a parish minister must embody to effectively lead their community. TakeawaysEdmund's journey reflects a deep love for Jesus and evangelization.Parishes are crucial for local evangelization efforts. The mission of the parish is to invite all souls into God's family.Transitioning from maintenance to mission is essential for parish vitality.Zealous Parish Ministers aims to support parish staff in their roles.Continuous formation is vital for parish ministers' effectiveness.Understanding the three roles of a parish minister enhances ministry impact.Vision casting is a key discipline for effective leadership. The parish boundary includes all souls, not just registered members.Resources like 'The Advantage' can help parish ministers develop essential skills.Sound Bites"Parishes can't be just maintenance.""We need to help parish ministers thrive.""Zeal for my house will consume me."Chapters00:00 Introduction to Evangelization and Parish Ministry 03:01 Edmund's Journey: From Cradle Catholic to Parish Minister 06:00 The Role of the Parish in Evangelization 09:02 Defining the Mission of the Parish 11:57 Transitioning from Maintenance to Mission 15:00 Launching Zealous Parish Ministers 17:56 The Importance of Continuous Formation 20:48 Skills for Effective Parish Ministry 24:11 The Three Roles of a Parish Minister 26:52 Vision Casting and Its Importance 30:02 Conclusion and Resources for Parish MinistersFor more information about Edmund and Zealous Parish Ministers, go to: https://edmundmitchell.com/ and https://www.zealousparishministers.co/
Brothers, ever wonder what it takes to be a real warrior—not just in the movies, but in the trenches of life? In this episode of the Manly Catholic Podcast, recorded March 10, 2025, for our Lenten Reflections, we're zeroing in on St. Joseph as the Zealous Defender of Christ. This isn't about swinging a sword in some epic battle scene—it's about the grit and guts it takes to shield your family and faith from the enemy prowling around us. St. Joseph didn't back down, and neither should we. Ready to unleash that warrior spirit God wired into you? Hit play and let's charge into this together. Here's what's on deck: St. Joseph wasn't a soldier, but he was a fierce protector—guarding Mary's honor, hauling his family to Egypt to dodge Herod, and keeping Satan's claws off the Holy Family. We'll unpack how his example flips the script on today's push for men to just sit back and shut up. This is about spiritual warfare, gentlemen—standing firm against the lies and threats gunning for your wife, kids, and church. I'll throw in a shoutout to my buddy Paul, who lost his job for defending the faith, to show you what real courage looks like. This episode's a wake-up call to stop snoozing while the battle rages. And because I'm not here to just talk at you, here's your challenge—take it seriously: Assess the Threats - Sit down today and list one spiritual or physical danger hitting your home—maybe it's garbage media or a toxic influence. Speak Up - If someone trashes the Church or the truth around you, say something. Start with, “Hold up, that's not how it is,” and back it with facts. Make a Battle Plan - Write down how you'll defend your family (prayer, cutting distractions), your faith (knowing your stuff), and yourself (hit the gym, hit the pew). Then do it.This isn't optional—our homes are war zones, and the enemy's already inside. St. Joseph acted fast; we've got to move too. Whether you're a dad, a priest, or a guy figuring it out, this episode's got meat for you to chew on. Listen up, take notes, and let's fight like men of God. Push play and step into the fray.3 Powerful: “The most vicious men on this planet can happen in the spiritual realm… That is where we can be warriors.”“To sit idly by while the world corrupts our children, attacks our church and distorts the truth is to fail in our mission as men.”“If you are not willing to stand up for your faith, for God, for your bride, for your family, what are you doing?”Call out one threat today. Spot something—maybe a show your kids watch or a coworker's jab at the faith—and take one step to shut it down. St. Joseph didn't wait; neither should you. Act now, even if it's small.Gentlemen, this episode's your rallying cry. St. Joseph's warrior heart beats for us to follow. Hit play, lock in, and let's defend whaSend us a text Support the showPlease prayerfully consider supporting the podcast on our Buy Me A Coffee page. to help grow the show to reach as many men as possible! Pastor Chad walks us through John 2 as we discuss how Jesus is the true Temple and he is zealous to remove all distractions that keep us from Him.
This week we look at the book of Titus and exlore the idea that good doctrine should result in good deeds. May we all grow in zeal for doing good unto the glory of God.
Your deeper devotion to the Sacred Heart or Divine Mercy begins with a conversation with God in which you feel comfortable speaking openly heart-to-heart. A new book shows you how.
When coming to Christ is is all too easy to become zealous. Zealous for God, for His kingdom, and for truth. But all too often this zealousness confuses being right with righteousness. And this can be a problem, because when we become zealous for being right, the outcomes can be detrimental to everything that Christ stands for.

During this sermon series we will look at the first four chapters of the book of John and dive into the rich and abundant truth that can change our lives. Though we will be going through entire chapters during this period, it will be up to the speaker to choose which parts of each chapter to focus on or highlight if the chapter is lengthy or delves into various topics.

As we complete our walk through studying the names of God in Scripture, we end with God's covenant name, Yahweh (LORD), and Zealous. Yahweh reminds us of His personal desire for relationship with this name–which we first read about in Exodus as He reveals Himself to Moses. Later, in Ezekiel, we read about God as a zealous God, but it's so refreshing to know God's zeal is always tempered by His goodness, His love, His compassion, and His restoration.
