On the day of this interview, Lawrence was celebrating two years of sustained weight-loss over 100lbs! Lawrence Vera is a longtime baseball lover with over 10 years coaching experience. He has coached both ‘AAA’ and Elite level players and is the owner of the Titans Baseball Club and True North Fieldhouse. Lawrence is an energetic, hardworking and motivated leader who believes that a coach needs to model the behaviour that he is training the young athletes to learn. On a trip with a baseball team, Lawrence realized that he was experiencing back pain and general discomfort from sitting on a bus. Realizing that it was due to fitting his large frame into a small bus seat, he decided to take action. He set forth a plan to lose the weight and become a better version of himself. Naturally competitive, Lawrence set goals for himself, one big goal and several milestones along the way. People who were wary of his far-reaching goals only served to spur him on. Not only did he meet his goal, he surpassed it and added some extras along the way. Lawrence is married to his high school sweetheart with whom he has two children. He has a ton of energy and a positive outlook. For Lawrence, Releasing 100 is “The opportunity to share life lessons, to be a part of a community.” “You're not alone, you're more powerful than you could ever imagine” Connect with Lawrence: @coach_lvera - Twitter and Instagram @illfinishthatpodcast - Instagram
