But the aftereffect, if it's not being taken care of, is a sense of disconnect from ourselves. E21 - CONTENT WARNING / TRIGGER WARNING: references to child sex abuse, child sex abuse materials, survivor accounts Watch this episode on YouTube! The Epstein Files have been released--or have they? Days after the Department of Justice's delayed and poorly-redacted release of millions of new documents connected with the world's most infamous sex trafficker, we sit down for a first look at what is (and isn't) in here. We begin with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche's attempt to fight for the right to party with Jeffrey Epstein before evaluating the DOJ's efforts to comply with its Congressional mandate to release the files more than a month after they were supposed to. We also look at a heartbreaking journal from an anonymous survivor to try to understand before Matt pulls out some selections from keyword searches which implicate Elon Musk, mega-financier Leon Black, magician David Copperfield, sitting Secretary of the Treasury Howard Lutnick, former Obama administration lawyer Kathy Ruemmler, and many more. Also: what to make about the wilder allegations you may have heard involving Donald Trump, and what it means to “be in the Epstein files” at all. NEXT TIME: the most disgusting plea deal in American history somehow gets… worse? Week 2: A fresh slate ✨ You'll: Dive into love and gratitude practices that open your heart and raise your vibration. Instantly elevate your energy through embodiment work. Establish one evening routine that grounds you in peace and presence. Start reading one book that will expand your mindset and elevate your glow-up journey.
In this episode, Coach Jenn and I talk about the quiet grief that comes with becoming someone new, the part nobody warns you about. The mourning of old identities. The soft ache of outgrowing relationships. The strange in-between where who you were doesn't fit anymore… but who you're becoming hasn't fully landed yet. You'll hear why everything you've lived through wasn't random, it was preparation. Preparation for this season. This version of you. This next chapter that requires a different nervous system, different boundaries, and a deeper level of self-trust. We'll unpack: Why letting go can feel heavier than staying stuck How past versions of you served their purpose (even the messy ones) What it actually means to release identities and relationships that no longer align Why grief is often the doorway to your next level, not a sign you're doing it wrong You're not breaking apart. You're shedding skin. Press play and meet yourself where you are, not where you used to be, and not where you think you should already be.
Letting go can feel terrifying when it matters most, yet it's often the exact thing that allows everything to shift. In this episode, KCB breaks down how releasing attachment and control moves you out of resistance and into the energy where manifestation, abundance, and aligned love can finally meet you. Hospitality can feel overwhelming when life is already full, but it doesn't have to be complicated or perfect to be meaningful. In this conversation, we talk about how different seasons of motherhood shape our capacity for hosting, why community grows through small, intentional invitations, and how letting go of perfection makes space for genuine connection. We share practical, low-pressure ideas for opening your home like simple food, flexible spaces, repeatable traditions, and involving the whole family. We hope you'll find that these strategies make hospitality feel life-giving instead of burdensome! In this episode, we cover: - Navigating different stages of motherhood under one roof and how age gaps gradually change daily rhythms - Why hosting flows best from margin and why you shouldn't feel guilty if it's not your season for entertaining - Growing community intentionally instead of waiting for it to happen, even when it feels vulnerable - Letting go of the idea that hosting always means a full dinner– embracing snacks, brunches, playdates, and themed gatherings instead - Pantry-friendly, budget-conscious meal ideas that scale easily and accommodate different dietary needs without added stress - Creative hosting themes and simple twists that make gatherings memorable without requiring elaborate prep - Using your home's basement, outdoor space, or even a single table to create the right atmosphere for both kids and adults - Regular home systems that support hospitality (even last-minute), including decluttering, minimizing decision fatigue, and spreading prep throughout the week - Why repeating the same meals or annual gatherings isn't boring and how tradition actually reduces hosting overwhelm - Involving the whole family in hosting to make hospitality sustainable and practical ideas for how kids can contribute - Releasing perfectionism around cleanup and learning to enjoy guests without feeling “on duty” the entire time - Reframing hospitality away from self-focus and toward generosity, presence, and making people feel genuinely welcomed View full show notes on the blog + watch this episode on YouTube. This episode started the way some of our best conversations do — on a walk. Chris and Melissa talk about why the idea of "balance" often leaves families frustrated, exhausted, and feeling like they're failing. Instead, they introduce a different lens that has brought them far more peace over the years: seasons of life. Every season affords certain opportunities. Every season also has real limitations. And neither are permanent. Chris shares a conversation he had with someone wrestling with a big opportunity — one that looked great on paper, but didn't quite align with the season of life he and his family were in. That's when the idea of seasonality clicked. Not as an excuse, but as a filter. They walk through real-life examples — newly married seasons, seasons with little kids, seasons when kids are more independent, seasons packed with sports schedules, and even micro-seasons like coaching a basketball team or building a business. Each season requires different energy, different priorities, and different definitions of success. Melissa reflects on how much pressure we put on ourselves to "do it all" at once — careers, health, friendships, travel, parenting — without acknowledging that something always has to give. The freedom comes when you choose what gives on purpose, rather than resenting it later. They also talk about how comparison makes this even harder. Seeing other families travel, rest, hustle, or expand can make you question your own choices — unless you remember that you're not in the same season. Chris shares one of the most grounding decisions he's made for himself: If I choose it, I surrender my right to complain about it. Whether it's coaching basketball, committing to a business season, or choosing rest — owning your choice removes resentment and allows you to fully show up where you are. This episode is an invitation to pause and ask better questions: What season am I in right now? What does this season afford me? What am I choosing to prioritize here? And can I trust that the seasons will change? Because no season lasts forever. And no matter where you are right now, the belief that the best is yet to come is always available. What it is that you're hesitating to go for, to toss your hat in the ring for, to apply for, to step into, a phone call that you have been holding off on making, there's a person that you want to mentor you, someone that you want to connect with, anywhere you want to be. Shoot your shot. Shoot your shot.”“Whatever the thing is that you are holding yourself back on, with intention, shoot your shot. Stop counting yourself out and see what happens. Know that you can cope and that you will grow. Guaranteed. In any case, you will grow. ““We have to push ourselves into new limits. And I think especially to take emotional risks. These are the things that make us feel very vulnerable. Oftentimes we feel a lot more equipped to take professional risks, tactical risks, strategic risks. But we don't always want to take the emotional risk. And the emotional risk is where it's at. That's where you're going to see yourself transform.”STAY IN TOUCHCome and follow me on Instagram @moniquershields or YouTube and I would love your feedback so send an email to ambition@moniquershields.com.
“A burden is something that feels heavy, like you're carrying it on your own. A responsibility is something you tend to, but with others, and you realize you're not meant to carry it all by yourself.”In this powerful episode of Business is Human, host Rebecca Fleetwood Hession discusses how the challenges we face in business and life aren't always major crises. Instead, they often show up as the smaller, everyday obstacles that accumulate and feel overwhelming.Rebecca explores the crucial distinction between burdens and responsibilities in both personal and professional life, explaining why many high achievers unknowingly operate from a state of fear and protection. She breaks down how this mindset—mistaking fear for responsibility or ambition—can lead to burnout and stress, and shares insights on how shifting to a mindset of responsibility fosters growth, clarity, and connection.Through relatable examples from parenting and leadership, Rebecca shows how burdens feel heavy and isolating, while responsibilities can be shared, collaborated on, and approached with intention. She also dives into how to identify when you're operating from a place of fear versus love and connection and how to make the shift for more balanced, productive living. In this episode, you'll learn:How to differentiate between burdens and responsibilities and apply it to your lifeWhy operating from a state of fear and protection leads to burnout and how to shift to a grounded, love-driven mindsetPractical strategies for handling responsibilities with clarity, intention, and without carrying unnecessary burdensThings to listen for:(00:00) Introduction(00:44) Social media detox and new year reflections(01:24) The difference between burdens and responsibilities(07:02) Love vs. fear: operating from clarity(19:47) Parenting: managing burdens vs. responsibilities(21:54) Leadership: shifting from burden to responsibility(25:47) Releasing burdens and trusting God's guidance(31:03) Upcoming events for growthConnect with Rebecca:https://www.rebeccafleetwoodhession.com/Explore Stand Tall Season 7: https://www.rebeccafleetwoodhession.com/standtallevent

What if the deepest wound you carry isn't about what happened to you—but about whether you ever felt truly held by life itself? In this powerful and intimate conversation, JJ is joined by a longtime soul sister, healer, and registered nurse who shares a deeply transformative experience that healed a lifelong sense of abandonment—not just from people, but from God, Source, and existence itself. After more than 25 years of personal growth, spiritual practice, and emotional work, she realized there was still an existential fracture beneath it all: a quiet belief that life was not fully safe, that love could be given endlessly but not fully received, and that stepping into her full calling might come at a devastating cost. What unfolded during a sacred, carefully held journey became a profound reclamation of safety, trust, and belonging—at the nervous-system and soul level. This episode is not about escapism or quick fixes. It's about: · How early experiences can fracture our sense of safety with life itself · Why control often masks a fear of annihilation or abandonment · What true surrender actually feels like in the body · Healing the relationship with Source beyond religion or belief systems · Learning to receive love after a lifetime of giving · Releasing the fear that being fully seen could destroy you · Embodiment, integration, and lasting nervous-system change JJ also speaks to the importance of integrity, preparation, emotional readiness, and sacred containment—emphasizing that this kind of work is not for everyone, not always, and never casual. At its core, this is a conversation about remembering who you are, restoring trust in life, and discovering that you were never alone—not for a single breath. If you've ever felt: · Like you don't fully belong here · Afraid to take up space or be fully visible · Deeply loving but unable to receive · Spiritually devoted yet quietly disconnected · Called to something more but scared of the cost This episode may speak directly to your heart. This is not an escape from life. It's an invitation into the truth of who you really are. http://Karinrose.love

Modern women are doing the most—tracking, supplementing, optimizing—yet still feel tired, inflamed, and strangely off. And sometimes the issue isn't another protocol. It's the life you're living. Queen Oluwatobiloba explores women's holistic wellness through a lens we don't talk about enough: alignment. We unpack how your environment can mirror your internal season, why "being stuck" drains your vitality, and how discomfort is often the clearest sign you're choosing something true. We also go into motherhood as an initiation (and why mom guilt is so biologically sticky), plus the missing longevity conversation: no supplement can override the relationship, job, or lifestyle that keeps your nervous system in survival mode. WE TALK ABOUT: 07:40 - Womb power as the courage muscle for radical change 12:45 - Differentiating sensing from feeling for clearer decisions 14:00 - Nature archetypes as a map for energy, boundaries, and burnout risk 19:35 - Motherhood revealing your true nature and unmet support needs 22:20 - Sacrifice, support, and why moms hit depletion so fast 26:35 - Releasing guilt and shame as a hormonal + energetic reset 29:40 - Womb connection practice to identify what you're carrying 38:30 - When "fixing the symptom" hides unresolved root patterns 40:45 - Longevity through value alignment and living by your blueprint 45:00 - Why biohacking can't override a misaligned life 53:55 - Choosing discomfort now to protect vitality later SPONSORS: Join me in Costa Rica for Optimize Her, a 5-night luxury women's retreat in Costa Rica with yoga, healing rituals, and biohacking workshops—only 12 spots available. In this episode of the XS Noize Podcast, Mark Millar sits down with Paul Draper to talk about Mansun Retold — a project shaped by distance, perspective, and the strange experience of meeting your younger self through song. Watch the full video conversation. Releasing on 20 February, Mansun Retold sees Draper revisit and reimagine key songs from the Mansun catalogue, rebuilding them from the ground up as full-band, acoustic unplugged recordings. Rather than revisiting the past for nostalgia's sake, the album is about clarity — hearing familiar songs anew, stripped of urgency, ego, and expectation. Recorded at The Loft Studios in Surrey, the album was co-produced by Paul Draper alongside Paul "PDub" Walton (The Cure, U2, Björk, Massive Attack, Oasis). The sessions feature a string quartet arranged and led by Audrey Riley (Muse, Coldplay, Nick Cave), with drums performed by Julian Fenton — Mansun's original early-era drummer. Draper performs acoustic bass, acoustic lead and rhythm guitar, and piano throughout the record. In this conversation, Draper reflects on the emotional weight of returning to songs so closely tied to his own life, how he decided which tracks felt ready to be retold, and the responsibility he feels toward fans who have lived with this music for decades. He also talks about life beyond music, creative fulfilment, and how Mansun Retold is intended to be experienced — not as a retrospective, but as a living record, rooted firmly in the present. Recover Your Soul: A Spiritual Path to a Happy and Healthy Life
I would love to hear from you! Send me a one way text and share how Recover Your Soul is supporting you or what you would like to hear more about. This year's theme is Acceptance as a Path to Peace, and in this episode I return to a topic that quietly keeps so many of us stuck: blame.Blame can feel justified when life has been painful. When relationships are complicated. When we've felt hurt, abandoned, or misunderstood. But over time, blame keeps our attention focused outward, tying our sense of peace to other people's choices and behavior. In this episode, I share honestly from my own life, my marriage, my recovery journey, and what I've witnessed walking alongside hundreds of people on their healing path. For me, blame often showed up as “trying to help,” “pointing things out,” or wishing someone else would change and how spiritual practice helped me see what was really happening underneath. We explore how releasing blame doesn't mean minimizing your pain or pretending things didn't matter. It means becoming willing to be honest with yourself, to turn inward, and to stop giving your power away. When we choose responsibility ovRecover Your SOUL CIRCLE Group coaching with Rev Rachel is now open for enrollment.Join a sacred space to deepen your healing, connect in community, and walk the Recover Your Soul Process together: 1. Put Yourself First Podcast | Self Care | Personal Growth | Goal Setting | Inspirational Interviews
This episode is for the woman who loves her partner, cares deeply about her relationship, and yet feels exhausted, resentful, or disconnected far more often than she wants to admit. You don't want to burn your life down. You don't want to leave your relationship. You just want it to feel better. In this episode, I share a hard truth many couples need to hear:Your relationship cannot thrive if you are constantly self-sacrificing.When you are depleted, over-functioning, and living in survival mode, everyone feels it. Especially your partner. And the irony? The more you put yourself first, the stronger your relationship becomes. In this conversation, I unpack why women are the emotional and energetic centre of the lives they build, how over-functioning quietly kills intimacy, and why learning to receive support is not selfish, but essential.IN THIS EPISODE:Why women are the emotional and energetic nucleus of their relationshipsThe lie we've been sold about self-sacrifice and loveHow over-functioning shows up in modern relationshipsWhy doing more actually creates resentment and disconnectionHow short-term discomfort leads to long-term relationship fulfilmentWhy your partner wants you happier, calmer, and more relaxedThe identity shift that happens when a woman stops holding it all togetherHow putting yourself first changes intimacy, communication, and desireWhy your partner doesn't need to do the work for the relationship to benefitThe subtle but powerful energetic shifts that change everythingYou don't become a better partner by giving more of yourself away. You become a better partner when you are regulated, present, fulfilled, and connected to your own needs. When you stop surviving and start thriving, your relationship responds.APPLY FOR 1:1 COACHINGMagnetic Muse is my private 1:1 coaching experience for high-achieving women who are ready to stop self-sacrificing and start living from presence, pleasure, and embodied confidence. This work is about:Releasing over-functioning and controlLearning how to receive support without guiltCreating deeper intimacy and connection in relationshipsSetting boundaries at work so you can leave work at workReconnecting with your body, desires, and feminine energyWhen you shift, every area of your life shifts.I'm currently opening a small number of private 1:1 spaces inside Magnetic Muse. You can:Apply directly here - https://www.khorrocks.com/coachingOr DM me COACHING on Instagram if you want to talk it through first - https://www.instagram.com/kat_horrocks/

I explore how hip pain, shoulder tension, back issues, and other physical discomforts are often connected to childhood beliefs, family lineage, and unprocessed emotions rather than something we physically did wrong. I talk about what I am learning through somatic healing, sound frequency work, and subconscious exploration, and how the hips in particular can store fear, shame, lack of trust, and suppressed feminine expression.I also dive into how inherited beliefs from parents and grandparents can shape our lives, our relationships, and even the pain we experience in our bodies. I reflect on releasing shame, guilt, and outdated stories that no longer serve us, and why love, freedom, and self expression are essential for true healing. This episode is an invitation to look at your body as a messenger, identify the emotional root of pain, and begin letting go so you can move forward with more freedom, alignment, and self love on your healing journey.IN THIS EPISODE:(0:00) Why I am sharing this episode and its deeper purpose(0:21) How emotional roots of physical pain show up in the body(3:23) My personal healing journey while in Costa Rica(8:33) How ancestral and family beliefs impact the body(11:52) Releasing emotional pain through awareness and healing(16:16) Final thoughts encouragement and your healing invitation

A devastating hospital mistake in Glasgow was described by leaders as “human error,” even as they acknowledged that “very rigorous processes” were not followed. In this episode of The Mistake of the Week, Mark Graban examines why suspensions and discipline don't guarantee improvement — and how gaps between written procedures and real work create hidden risk. Punishment may feel like accountability, but without fixing the system, the same harm remains possible.

The Rickey Smiley Morning Show dives into a whirlwind of celebrity headlines, beginning with the fiery social‑media clash between Nicki Minaj and Don Lemon. Minaj harshly criticized Lemon for livestreaming an anti‑ICE church protest, using language widely condemned as a homophobic slur, prompting Lemon to publicly fire back and call her “out of her depth,” “ignorant,” and “a homophobic bigot.” Adding to the show's drama recap, longtime Real Housewives star NeNe Leakes has reportedly secured a multi‑million‑dollar settlement in her racial‑discrimination lawsuit against Bravo and is now set to return to the network—an unexpected reconciliation considering her 2022 accusations that the network tolerated a hostile, racially insensitive environment. Meanwhile, the internet is buzzing over Luenell and Al B. Sure, whose affectionate videos and public coziness have sparked widespread dating speculation. Though some fans suspect trolling or a PR stunt, others note the pair’s genuine chemistry, deepening connection, and Luenell’s long history of guarding her private life—making this unexpected pairing even more intriguing. Rounding out the entertainment roundup, legendary producer Teddy Riley is preparing to release his memoir Remember the Times on February 10, 2026. Send us a textMy confession and an invitation to release…As a faithful woman, you aren't burned out because you lack discipline; you're exhausted because you've been carrying a responsibility God never asked you to bear.In this episode, Amy explores the difference between responding to God and taking responsibility for outcomes and how easily faith can slip from love into pressure, control, and performance. This conversation isn't about becoming irresponsible or lowering the bar. It's about releasing the heavy yoke and rediscovering a faith formed by belovedness rather than fear. You'll explore:Why responsibility often becomes a hidden spiritual burden. How Scripture reframes obedience as response, not self-management.What Jesus meant when He said His yoke is easy and His burden is light. How fear, control, and the need for significance quietly shape our faith. Why discipline isn't rejected, but reordered around love.If faith has started to feel heavy, demanding, or joyless, this episode offers language, permission, and a better way forward. Not through striving, but through response.Support the showRESOURCES FOR YOU: Book a High-Value Clarity Call with Amy Wicks https://www.simplywholehearted.com/callamywicks Not sure about your Enneagram Type? In episode two of "Raising Godly Warriors," Duane Sheriff teaches a biblical approach to parenting through the metaphor of an arrow in Psalm 127. There are three stages of a child's development: the feathers (ages 0-10), where we train through repetition and protection, the shaft (ages 10-20), where we teach, shape character, and strengthen identity; and the tip (age 20 and beyond), where we launch them toward their God-given target.Scripture teaches that the biblical age of accountability begins at 20, not 18. In Numbers 14, God held those 20 years old and older accountable for Israel's rebellion, while those younger were still considered under parental covering. This is more than historical detail—it's a spiritual warfare blueprint. Releasing our children prematurely can expose them to battles they are not yet equipped to fight, emphasizing the parental responsibility to protect, train, and prepare them until they can stand as warriors in their own right.
